Not a clothing item, but I still think of this chair I found in Craigslist ten years ago that I didn't buy. It was so unique, I've searched, and never found another like it. The worst part is that the guy was only asking twenty dollars for it.
I'm still angsting over the white leather trench coat I messed around and didn't get. Yep, I blew that! But I made up for it with a calf-length PURPLE shearling coat for $18. So, I'm better now.....😘

Karen, I am thrilled you got such lovely feedback from the Amarcor shop owner. I've been watching you for almost 2 years now and your approach to style and shopping has really influenced where I spend my money. I am now looking/spending more at makers that sell on etsy, online resale sites, and at local shops in my town. It is so easy to get dazzled by the ease of only online shopping (amazon, etc...I still do that but...options!), it's clear we can miss out on the variety that is out there and (sometimes) at a substantially lower cost. Thanks for being an influencer in more ways than you know!

Yes that billboard is so true. Low cost per wear, you getting your money worth the more you wear it. I don't care for curated second hand stores, their markup it too high. It's the boutiques that make up the vibe of neighborhoods in all cities. You can plunk anyone down in a mall anywhere and one won't know what city they're in because all the malls are the same!!

a lot of vintage shops here in rotterdam (the netherlands) are closed but they do instagram sales and pick ups... it's honestly the best way to shop unique pieces I feel like, especially on a budget and it's especially nice since the shop owners are just lovely always and you can tell they really love their pieces and to help you find something nice. the shop owner of the shop in my neighbourhood already knows me now haha. also just picked up a cute gingham blazer today!
