Parkview Manor Health Care Centre together with support from the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario (RNAO) and with funding from the Government of Canada’s New Horizons for Seniors Program created five videos depicting interactions between staff and residents in a long-term care setting. The purpose of the videos is to provide fictional scenes which can be viewed and then discussed as part of education to prevent and address abuse and neglect of older adults.

Please this is so unrealistic! These ppl are being nice compared to how it REALLY is! I’m 42 and am in a nursing home right now, almost all staff is Jamaican and they are MEAN to me, I’ve had to fill out three reports already on three different aids for how they treated me. Btw, I’m here to get my strength back, I have to learn how to climb two flights of stairs because at home there’s two flights of stairs. This place is awful, bad enough where it should be shut down.
