- The King told Chancellor Olaf Scholz and deputy prime minister Angela Rayner that the Spanish football team was “incredible” during a reception for the European Political Community summit. The Monarch later heaped more praise on the winners of Euro 2024 to Spanish prime minister Pedro Sanchez, saying his nation’s team were “amazing” and “totally unbeatable”. Charles met leaders from around Europe at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire, including President Macron of France and President Zelensky of Ukraine as the gathering drew to a close. Aren’t we lucky to have such a wonderful King! All those European leaders obviously value him enormously by the love and respect flowing freely in the room at Blenheim. I give thanks to God for him, and indeed all the Royal Family, who work so hard for our nation.

Fun fact: Queen Anne in exchange for giving money and land to build Blenheim required that on or before the anniversary of the Battle of Blenheim, a replica of the captured French standard should be presented to the ruling monarch at Windsor Castle.
