- Hello Beautiful People!
Welcome back to the channel and thank you so much for the support.
In today's video I talked about the different types of resident permits in Finland. Laying more emphasis on the A and B permit. In April 2022, the Finnish government made some adjustments to the study immigration laws and one of the new rules was that International students coming to study at the a University or University of Applied Sciences will no longer be issued the annually temporary B type residence permit, rather they would be issued an A continuous residence permit for the total duration of their studies here in Finland.
That was a wonderful development which I believed helped international students to ease the burden and stress of worrying to renew their study permit each year. In this video I also talked about the duration of stay towards getting a Permanent residence permit in Finland for an A and B residence permit hold. You can get more information about this topic on the official website of the Finnish Immigration which is migri.fi.

Hi. Thanks for continous great contents.
Glad you like them!
See as you just pieces the thing for here😊. Thanks for all you do. Your hubby shared this video in our whatsapp group.
Awesome! Thank you! 😊
Thanks a lot sis
You're Welcome 😊
Weldone sis❤❤❤
Many many thanks sis ❤❤
I would assume that for most people the more relevant difference between A and B residence permits is how it affects the Finnish municipality of residence.
It seems to have more direct consequences on daily lives. Permanent residency and citizenship do have perhaps more fundamental consequences, but mostly those don't effect daily lives.
Most definitely 😊
Lovely analysis.
Please after paying the embassy for your legalization of documents, how long will it take for them to refer you to VFS for verification. Thanks as I await your response
I think it depends on how busy they are at the embassy. When I did mine, it took 15 working days.
How can I smile often you are so beautiful
Oh wow! Thank you plenty sis ❤❤
What are the specific benefits for A resident permit both for applicant and their dependents.
Yes, I clearly stated them in the Video.
Lovely analysis, what is the best process of Finland working or tourist visa?
The Work route is one of the best ways to migrate to Finland.
@@Ucheprisca are you into Finland visa processing?
@@silvhervincent2193 Not at all...
Thank you dear, but do people that go to vocational school do the yki test as well.
Yes they do.
Hey mama, you look so beautiful ❤
Thanks dear
Please I have a question about pof. If I have a sponsor, how long do I need to have required funds in my account to present for resident permit. I hope to hear back from u ASAP.
Even a day is enough, as far you provide the bank statement of your sponsor
The Most important thing is to have the total amount of POF required by the Finnish Immigration, which is 6720 in your account. Then you print a three months bank statement for you and your sponsor which will clearly show how the funds was transferred to your account and your sponsor's sources of income. Which could be from employment, private enterprise, pension or other assets. You can get more information via Migri's website. migri.fi
Hi Uche, can you talk about start-up process or visa for entrepreneurs. What visa or permit will be given to them? Can they get citizenship
Sure! I will make an extensive research on that and make a video about a Video about it soon. Thank you. :)
Hello Mrs Uchechi, please the Application and Authorization Form from the VFS global, is it to be filed by the adult alone or are the kids supposed to submit theirs too?
I will gratefully appreciate your response. Thanks 🙏
If you're planning to move with your kids, then you will need to legalize their birth certificates and your Marriage Certificate and yes you can fill one form for all the documents. But if you're submitting for RP, then it should be one form per person.
Ok thanks 🙏 a lot
Good evening sis, will dependants (kid)of B permit enjoy freeschool as well.thank you
Yes they enjoy free school and they’re also entitled to child benefits even though they are not Finnish citizens.
Thank you so much for this video
Please my question is The good record you mention for applying for Citizenship in Finland can you share an example in the aspect of being a student.
Thank you
There are nothing specific or different requirements for students.
This part of requirements means things like these:
- you are not quilty of any crime and no restraint order has been issued against you
- you have paid your taxes, fines, and child maintenances payments, state-guaranteed student loan installments, for example.
- you don't have any Kela benefits subject to garnishment.
- you have fulfilled your payment obligations.
There's room for some considerations meaning not all requirements are absolute in that sense that all smallest mistakes would automatically prevent getting a positive decision to the application. If there's proof of good intentions and attempts to avoid falling behind payments etc, such things will be included in the consideration.
@just42tube thank you for the detailed explanation.
@danielonyedikachiokwandu6927 hope this answers your question?
See the answers below.
@@Ucheprisca
I am curious about the thought included in the question, which I understood as a suggestion that citizenship requirements could somehow be different for students.
Can you give me some ideas of why there would or could be any different rules for students?
@@just42tube There are no different rules for students. His question was based on been a student or probably planning to arrive in Finland as a student. Your answers were perfect and that was what he needed. Thank you for the detailed explanation. :)
Vocational studies such as welder, cook or practical nursing lead to permit b?
Yes!
Hello
Mrs Uche please how long does it take the embassy to refer you to the vfs after paying for document legalization?
I think it depends on how busy they are at the embassy. When I did mine, it took 15 working days.
@@Ucheprisca okay thank you for your reply
Please i need clarification. A sister of mine did first year in one of the UAS institution in Finland which means she has A permit and she was opportune to gain into practical nursing for vocational school and she has already accept the study place for the vocational. Please with her current A permit, what are the steps to take? Should she inform the current school for discontinuation about accepting study place at another institution ? Should she inform MIGRI about conversion?
What are the steps to take for these new journey of hers?
Yes, she need to apply for a New Residence Permit, Which will be the Type B.
@@Ucheprisca ok thanks. So how can she go about it because she also got contract for a summer job. Is it that she will write Migri or how will she go about it? Also, will she need to write her current institution for a discontinuation of studies?
Thanks for your prompt response.
@@fatimoadebayo972 Yes, she should contact Mirgi and they will guild her on how to summit the new application. She also needs to inform her current institution for a discontinuation but I suggest she apply for her new B permit first.
OK. Thank you so much. @@Ucheprisca
Hi Mrs Uchechi I'm planning to go on Summer vacation to Finland with my wife and my two kids what's are the requirements and it's in one application form or separate froms thank you
Hi! Yes, if you get your tourist or visiting Visa to Finland, you can travel with your family. You can find all information on how to get the visa here: finlandabroad.fi/web/nga/where-and-how-to-apply-for-a-visa-1
Hi Uchechi, I want to study BSC nursing in Finland, I'm a registered nurse from Nigeria. Please can you recommend any cheap University and any agency I can use their services to achieve this?. I really love and appreciate your content. God bless you for all you do. Anticipating your response.
Hi, you can check on studyinfo.fi. Search for Nursing programs and you will find schools that offer the program and how much is their tuition fees. You would also see their next round of admission. You don't need an agent to achieve this, you can do it by yourself.
@@Ucheprisca thank you
I got a work resident permit A, will i be able to study for free while working for the company that gave me the contract.
Please how do I get a job too. Kindly help
Absolutely, you're entitled to free Education with your Work "A" residence permit. Congratulations ❤❤
How soon can my families join me in Finland as a master’s student. Thank you
Your Family can move with you at the same time when moving to Finland if you can prove to the Finnish Immigration that you have sufficient POF to take care of you and your family without depending on the system.
@@Ucheprisca Good morning ma, I can’t afford the POF ma, that’s why am asking if they can move with me few months when I get there. Thank you
@@temitopebaiyewu7179 Yes they can. But you still need to show POF.
Please with all sincerity, the way Finland is now or turning into, is it still advisable for someone to come there especially if you have a good paying job in Nigeria and living well.
I think it is.
Well, I believe its your choice to make. First and foremost, you must understand why exactly are you planning to move to Finland? What is your primary motive of wanting to come to Finland?
@@Ucheprisca for my family to have good quality of life and job or business in the long run only.
@@FridayAdejo-rp6km
Quality of life is a complicated topic, at least to some extent subjective and depends on a person's individual preferences, which can change overtime.
The type of the society where you live and are part of gives a person some foundations but individual factors also matter a lot.

Well, you can get all information as regards Affordable universities for Bsc Nursing programs via the official website of studies in Finland which is studyinfo.fi. :)
Nice content. Is it easy to get a job in Finland?
Thank you. No, it is not easy.
The ease of getting a job in Finland depends totally on your qualifications, your abilities and expertise.
For some it's really easy. For most people it's more challenging. People without professional qualifications will find it difficult. Some sectors are suffering from shortage of qualified workforce. Some businesses are looking for very specific skills and talent.
But there are also some low paying jobs for which no professional skills are required like some seasonal jobs.
The difficulty there is that it's not easy to get enough income to make visiting Finland financially safe and the working conditions aren't so good. One needs to be careful of choosing what to do and with whom. Also the availability of such jobs isn't constant. It can change rapidly.
@@Ucheprisca
If you're in the category of people, who regularly are contacted by headhunters, for them getting a job is always easy.
And even the residence permit process for work is likely to be fairly quick and simple process, if you need a permit.
But of course easiness is subjective and even they are likely to complain about something,
@@just42tube thanks for your response. What about student jobs? Is it difficult to get as an English speaker?
@@ejikemeonuoha3272
If by student jobs you mean jobs, which are exclusively intended for students, then you mean internships or some other arrangements. As those jobs are especially for students, of course students have challenges getting those jobs. But there can be shortage of such positions and therefore competition of such jobs. It can be difficult competition.
Among foreign languages English has become the most used one also in Finland. But not having skills in the majority language and official language, it's surely a handicap in almost any situation.
There are companies using English as the company language and job positions where it's enough.
Again: difficulty is largely subjective and depends on unique circumstances.
It's useless in individual cases to generalize as much as you do in your question. And example : If you're a student having an internship in some company in Lapland giving services to English speaking tourists, then English is all you need and there isn't much difficulty.
An other example: if you try to get an internship in an organization, which needs to deliver services in Finnish, you are not likely to be considered to get a job. Then the difficulty is huge, practically impossible, if you don't have sufficient language skills.
Na our oga wife be this 💯. Achala ugo. No cap!
No be small Oga wife oo. Lolzz.. Thank you so much ❤
This new government wey dey cause casala no be small oo. Even wan cut benefits and paid work leave
Yes, those are part of their programs.
@@Ucheprisca so with all the changes in cutting off benefits that they're proposing, is the system still okay for someone to come since those already don't have any option.
@@FridayAdejo-rp6km
If you already live in a society which can offer almost similar circumstances and benefits as Finland does, then you wouldn't be thinking about moving, would you?
what is the benefit that one with B resident permit can not get in the ?
No free Education, Health care to some extent, unemployment benefits and other government social support benefits.
@@Ucheprisca this means that even their children will not have the "free education " for kids in finland?
@@oghoghotobore8255
It's best to remember that children also have their own residence permits even though applying can be part of the parents residence permit application.
@@oghoghotobore8255
It's not that simple. Residence permit type alone doesn't specify this.
The relevant factor is
the Municipality of residence in Finland.
Municipalities provide many kinds of services for their residents.
Municipal services include, for example, health care, education and early childhood education. If you have a municipality of residence in Finland, you are usually entitled to use the services of that municipality.
You should find out whether you and your family members have the right to a municipality of residence in Finland. The right to a municipality of residence in Finland is determined according to the Act on the municipality of residence. You can check at the local Digital and Population Data Services Agency whether you have the right to a municipality of residence in Finland.
In order to get a municipality of residence in Finland, you must move to Finland permanently. If you live in Finland temporarily, for example moving to Finland for up to a year for studies or work, you usually cannot get a municipality of residence in Finland.
Your municipality of residence can be in Finland if:
- you are a Finnish citizen
- you are a citizen of a Nordic country
- you are a resident of an EU country, Switzerland or Lichtenstein and have registered your right of residence in Finland
- you have a valid permanent (P) or continuous (A) residence permit
- you are a family member of a person who has a municipality of residence in Finland
- If you have a valid temporary residence permit (B), you may have a Finnish municipality of residence, but only if you can demonstrate that you intend to live in Finland permanently.
