It's sort of strange how a company will design a new game, and everyone and their brother will copy it within a year and face no legal consequences.
Where does the line sit between copyright infringement and unique intellectual property that's just an homage? Mario and Megaman, street fighter and king of fighters, smash bros and Brawhalla and nickelodeon all star brawl and multiversus...etc
You cant copyright an entire genre or play style lol cmon now. We would have maybe five games. Anyone who has played games a long time can tell you inspiration is super important. Vampire survivors borrows heavily from castlevania in many ways.

@@WeWynne not sure if you know this, but there is countless vampire survivor clones out there already, some good some bad, Like how there's souls-like games, metroidvania, etc etc.
@Ippo2k19 yeah, when VS blew up everyone wanted to jump on the train and try to make a quick buck. VS was just the best. I'm not against any of the clones. If someone can copy and improve upon a game then it means the fans have more to enjoy. And if it's bad then the fans just respect and admire the original even more. Either way we wynne.. sorry I mean we win lol
