      I got all the dishes done a couple of times this week (instead of putting it off til the next day). Btw, I do not have a dishwasher. I AM the dishwasher. I'm also pregnant and have a toddler!

    Big win: I’m disabled because of my chronic illness and I was able to go on a short walk (3 minutes) down the street and my joints didn’t hurt me days after!

    When you get tired or overwhelmed it can be natural to not want to do anything, but I honestly think doing one quick task will make you feel accomplished even if it is just doing dishes or putting laundry away. You are totally correct!

      I believe there are the right circumstances for both. If the spell of discouragement comes from pushing yourself too hard for too long, allowing yourself to do absolutely nothing for a while is a great idea. But if you have been unmotivated for some time and can't find a breakthrough, the small accomplishment idea is the best!

    My go to is to go on a walk. So simple but it helps soooo much! The sun charges me, I can ignore my phone and zone out and be aware of nature, breathe and check in with my mind and clear what has been weighing me down. I can say I exercised and accomplished something and I always feel better after. Even if its a 5 min lap around the backyard in your pjs. Then go drink some water

    Win, Time management so I can work in as many of the things I ENJOY doing, such as coloring, reading, walking on treadmill, making breakfast for my family. Choosing foods that nourish my body. Going to church. Small household chores. Keeping in touch with family members outside my home. I managed to do do ALL these things today. But honestly, doing simple things like walking barefoot through the grass and looking up at the moon, last night are SO fulfilling for me! It reminds me to not take for granted the many WONDERS in the natural world.

    The best thing that I did for myself is to uninstall my Facebook app on my phone. And for the past few weeks, I realize that I don’t need it! My life is ok without it. Now I did so much things each day without scrolling on my phone the whole day!

    Little win... I picked some flowering coriander, lavendar and nastursiums and made the prettiest little bunch for my kitchen bench. This motivated me to clean up the kitchen.

    A win for this week…I allowed myself rest. Real R & R. My parents were both hospitalised with COVID; a very good friend passed away; school started and hence the mommy run started…
    So yesterday I communicated with my husband my need to rest and I did….
    Took a long walk
    Gave myself a massage
    Made a lovely breakfast and laid a table outside and enjoyed it
    Spent most of the day outside at that very table in the sun reading
    Limited time on my phone
    The things that HAD to be done I did at a snails pace…
    It was such a good day…so refreshing and energizing ❤️
    This is a win because I hardly ever give myself permission to have an “off-day”…

    I needed to watch this video. I just finished college on Friday and it's weird not being busy all the time. This weekend has been really hard, my family is gone and I feel so lonely and bored. My small accomplishment was painting my nails.

    I had noticed that if I wrote down in advance in my calendar the days I planned to workout, but failed to follow them to the letter, I was more demotivated and had difficulty to remain constant.
    Now, I write in my calendar the days that I workout AFTER, and I find it super motivating to see that I have done a lot more and in a more consistent way than I had initially planned!
    Also, when I'm feeling meh, I play a playlist of Disney princess songs. It's impossible not to sing these songs and it always has the effect of putting me in a good mood :)
    Finally, I try to make a mental list of 5 things that made me feel good, or that I'm grateful for, every night before bed. It helps me fall asleep (often I don't even make it to 5) and on top of that it calms me down to focus on the happy little things in life. The stress of everything else eases a bit.

    My win is taking my sweet bunny to the vet and deciding at least for now to not have her have surgery. I also think that if you have a companion animal to pet, snuggle with, or get kisses from can also be a bit of self care or just bring a person joy.

    🇬🇧 thank you I needed this, I’ve been feeling really low and unmotivated but trying my best to help myself. I was up and out by 6:30am this morning and walked to the beach (yes I’m lucky enough to do this) I then came home had my breakfast and cuppa and then done my Journalling (brain dumping as you said). I spend a lot of my time thinking about what needs to be done but can’t be bothered then feel guilty and before I know it the day has gone! 🤦🏼‍♀️

    My biggest accomplishment this week is walking 4 miles yesterday. Every so often I will do a brain dump when I cant get my brain to slow down so I can sleep. I love #11 "This too shall pass". I need to remind myself of that sometimes. Thanks for the wonderful video 💕

    A win for me this week is that I have kept on top of my laundry, as a busy family of 4 I always find it difficult to stay on top as I don’t enjoy doing laundry but this week I’m trying to keep on top. One step at a time ❤️

    today i woke up unmotivated and felt bad about myself because i ate immediately without drinking water first. However, instead of putting my self down i set an alarm for 30 min to clean my place and really felt good after that; this is my small win which encouraged me to do more))

    I've got one for extraverts! Go find some people to be around! Not to dump on them your negative energy of course, but to see what they're up to and soak up some energy from them as the extravert that you are 😊 I always try these sorts of tips Meghan's given, but nothing works as well as being around others to motivate me as an extravert myself 😊

    I've been doing nothing for like a month now :( Sometimes I don't know if it's because teaching at school just burns me out so I just sleep through the summer and the first month of vacation is a blur to me...     The permission to do nothing is so good! Except if I feel really bad I give myself a whole day. If I think of something I “should” be doing I just tell myself “not today” and it feels good lol. I read somewhere that you’re probably gonna lay in bed all day anyway you might as well let yourself enjoy it.

    Last Saturday night I saw Meghan outside a nightclub having a smoke dressed in head to toe leather. Her pupils were as big as saucers, her nose was running and she was rather jittery lol. I love this chick! She reminds me of my wholesome little sister that I love to tease.
