Singapore is a nice place - but it's frankly clinical in comparison to NYC. Singapore is better to raise a family in a stable, safe, predictable environment. NYC is better to broaden your horizons and change your perspective. It's a rite of passage if you have the opportunity since it's a positively life-changing experience especially if you're young.
He’s a creator, literally whatever you see in this vlog, other big creators, skating in that amazing limelight, character in every single building unlike every commercialised building in sg….. and artist literally everywhere. None of this is in Singapore. As a creator like Daniel, I’m pree sure it’s a dream come true. I know I’m jealous af

I think it's really all about what you are trying to achieve with this channel - what kind of message are you trying to put out there and what kind of content are you trying to create. If the driving message of the channel for these upcoming years (which relates to your life phase as well) is about bravely taking on new challenges and uncomfortable situations, then I think moving to NYC would be a decision that aligns with that. If it's about deepening appreciation of Singapore, sharing about local life and finding nuggets of joy and inspiration in the familiar, then Singapore would be the place.
Do it dude - NYC is one of the most amazing experiences you'll ever have especially in your 20s. You'll meet all kinds of people and really broaden your perspective. You're at the crossroads of the world.
There's only so much to talk about here in Singapore. I think being overseas allows you to truly maximise your content creation and making full use of your videography. i always believe in the idea of 'the shark can grow as big as the fish tank" SO GO INIFINITE AND BEYOND!!!
Been watching your channel from the start. Always felt your channel have tremendous potential to make it big should you expand into an international setting. Singapore / South east Asia is a nice place , but I feel that it will always place a cap on how big you can grow especially for Vlog style content. Vlogging overseas can widen your reach to an exponential amount of new audience. I feel your historical channel trajectory is currently similar to Hafu Go. Seeing how successful he became once he branch out of his university vlogs to an international setting, I feel you can achieve that once you do the same too. I empathise that there's tough sacrifices to be made by leaving singapore , so you should follow your heart!
It's only a year... if that feel too long then do it for 6 months. If you don't do it now, then when! It will be an opportunity you'll regret missing out on when you look back on life. Take the leap!
Traveling and living in big cities like NYC and London are 2 separate matters. Regardless, if you have a proper visa and a runway of savings and passive income, what is stopping you from joining the school of hard knocks? Singapore will always be here. Vamos!

It's definitely another step forward to expand your networking and content creation, which I definitely support. For a Singaporean, your YT contents is close to what i usually watch from an American CZcams vlogs. etc. Reason why I dont get cringe watching your video hahah. But yeah i would definitely give it a go( of course if everythings lines up well on your end).Other than that, grow and create a path for us Singaporeans to follow :)

Honestly, I'm a homebody so I'd definitely stay in sg. I feel like the excitement of travelling and being away helps to open your eyes and be inspired but the feeling of returning home is always so comforting. Definitely discuss this with your family, friends and girlfriend. Maybe you don't even have to move to nyc permanently, taking long trips are great as well. Just be sure to have a good support system so you won't get burnt out from the grind!!
You can be just another NYC clogger or you can be someone who leads a movement to put Singapore on the map
I could really see this question as a "flip a coin" kind of situation. I would recommend staying in Singapore for this year because it seems that this is the perfect year for vlog grinding after Covid passes since there are many events happening. Going to NY is also a good idea because you already supplied yourself with what kind of vlogs you can do, from the pros of this video. Stay for a year, make an event of your own, then leave for NY?
I think venturing in your early 20s is the way to go. Maybe talk to your girl and see what she feels about u having to go such a far place depending on the duration u looking at. 3-6 months ? Or even up to a year. But if u are thinking about ur studio, you might wanna ask yourself why you want to set it up in the first place. And why the sudden change of thought in venturing in NYC now.

It's def up to you but one thing I would consider is just how chaotic and unsafe the US can be, of course it's filled with opportunities but you would be giving up some of that guarantee that you get in other countries.

Well, as someone who lived in the states for 6 years…I’d say you’re still very much fueled by the “whole new world” kinda feeling since you’re only there for awhile. But maybe for what you do as a content creator, it might somewhat be better in US i guess. Though i have to say, you will realize a lot of shit when you are there long enough on things like healthcare, taxes, housing etc.
