Me too. When I worked in London we were a mixture. Enjoying each other's food, culture, dance and most importantly music. Tbh the UK is the best place in the world to live, we all get along and celebrate our differences
When he was a child, he was nicknamed "Smokey Joe" by his uncle because of his love of cowboy movies. In his teens, this was shortened to Smokey. and there you have it!!!!!
Who could possibly give this iconic song a thumbs down?? With everything that’s happening in today society closing my eyes and really listing to this beautiful song brings much needed happy tears to my eyes.
I once read an interview with Smokey, when he said "I've got an OK voice - I can carry a tune." Hmm - and there I was, thinking he had the voice of an angel! Wonderful song and vocal performance by the great man.
At least old school singers don't stop singing to ask the crowd to sing along or stick the mic out for the audience to sing. They get paid to sing and that's what they do.
Soaring soul from the Smoke of them all: The great Bill "Smokey" Robinson, singer, songwriter, producer, engineer, co-founder of Motown, a true gift to ALL the soul of America, forever and ever.
Music with so much meaning, finesse and expression of feeling. Music that bends the soul in all the right ways. Thank you Smokey Robinson for this song; a masterpiece!
I never really understood the deal about Smoking Robinson. Until I heard this song that it. The first time I heard a snippet of this song, my friend wanted to change it to the Piña Colada Song with Rupert Holmes, so I didn't get to hear the full extend of it. But in those few seconds, I immediately recognized his genius. The Piña song really is a piece of shit when you think about it. So, when it was over, I immediately switched back to my new found genius. What a natural performer, what a band, love the backup singer, the contrast is astonishing!
This song is sooooo smoooth, it put me in very mellow mood. I put on repeat an just sing and dance along. I love it and remember from years ago lovin it. Back then. Now I am 70 and love you SMOKEY ROBINSON still for all your songs
This is still HOT! Smokey brought it w/ this one. I can remember my mom listening to this when I was a child and here I am still enjoying the same song as an adult. You have to respect these older cats for bringing it like they did. They made timeless music. True artists! Nothing like the microwave r&b singers today who just release music because they have 2 lines that rhyme. This is the truth right here! Much love
Love love love this song!! First fell in love with it when I was a kid..then my Nana and Poppa used to play it in the car lol. My Nana had a great singing voice.. Rip Nana
This gives me “chills” every time. As a toddler in the 80’s,I can still recall my brothers playing and moving to this with friends and girlfriends lol. Those are the good old days. I knew great music from them on. Now, I’m 49 myself, and I’m still cruising’ lol to Smokey. Love my brothers to death.
I Love Smokey! Sound so good I honestly thought he was lip singing, but he was in his Prime at the time I guess. I met Mr. Gordy, Melvin Franklin and Smokey once and that day was a Wonderful memory because all of them were kind and courteous to me! Just Class personified!!!
Great song by a premier, natural countertenor. People often think he is singing in falsetto but it's his natural voice, except for an occasional "ooh", or "ahh". The title reads "Smokey Robinson & The Miracles" but this song is from his solo era. Great stuff!!! Check it Out! Ciao!!!
Classic Smokey. This is one of my favorites. His style has never been duplicated. There is only one Smokey Robinson. He still sounds fabulous after all these years. Keep singing Smokey, you will always be one of the best.
Can you think of another song as smooth as this.Smokey is smokin on this cut.Makes me want to pick up my high school sweetheart and go for a long Sunday afternoon drive. 30 years later I still love you Lydia.
I,could listen to him,all of the time!! He's, such a talented Singer ! I,do believe a lot of Pregnancies happened while couples, were listing to this one!!
Smooth was so blessed to have grownup with such beautiful music. When songs had such pure real meaning. This is a sexy song, not like the harsh foul language you hear with alot of songs today. God Bless Smokey

Happy 75th today Smokey!!!
A All American and world icon. Listen to this song while on one of those long trips on a winding country rode very late in the evening.👍🙏🏼
Bruce Springsteen has this song on a loop in his car. That says a lot!
Sad, Springsteen is still overrated. At least he has good taste.
It really does! Wow!
Wonder if he was cousin this weekend when he got his DWI? Overrated is an understatement!

This is a classic. It is also timeless. It sounds like a song the could have been written yesterday. It's not a song of a particular era.
