The guy was 31 years old with "a long list of violent crimes." Apparently the concept of keeping violent criminals in jail is beyond some judges.

On ALL of your exterior entry doors, replace the small 1//2" screw in the hinges and the door catch, with 3" screws. This makes the door near impossible to kick in. Put the 3" screws through the hinge into the door frame, and the other way too, into the door. Then into the door latch catch.
