Weird seeing all the comments about how this set was so awesome. I'm sorry, I was expecting a string cheese, Saturday night at a festival, mind-blowing show. This set was so lackluster that my wife and I couldnt take it anymore. We had to walk away. The song choices were so anticlimactic. Dont get me wrong, I love me some cheese, but wtf....
So my friend and I were discussing this. This being our 4th Hula and have been to Electric 2 times in the past and I’ve seen cheese at other fests and their solo shows etc, all that to say I’ve seen cheese a ton. This being the 10th anniversary we kept expecting the songs that were pretty anticlimactic to just be warming up the crowd but with the schedule we were beginning to realize they didn’t have much more room to build. I will say for those who have never seen cheese at hula or electric do a shebang, then yeah it’s still a great set and is really cool to see. But for those who have seen any and I mean ANY of their past Saturday night sets had to be just completely confused. I still had fun but this was for sure the most mild Saturday hula cheese set I’ve seen. Now goose and cheese the night before.. that was insanity it made my week so I can forgive them on that side But yeah I’m not here to rain on anyone’s parade, I kind of just wish for people that hadn’t seen them actually blow the top off the house to know that they are capable of so much more Not sure what the rationale was on this set tbh but I still danced and grooved, just didn’t have a stunned OMG expression like usual

I was right there under the long taper pole. What an incredible dance party this set was. One of the most memorable nights of music I've had in ages!
