Fantastic video, thank you so much for sharing. I've just bought a set of the Delta 3 clippers so was thrilled to see them in action here in your video. Lovely job clipping, the little mare looked great :)

Great video, I have horses with full new england winter coats and we moved to California - it seems an act of kindness to clip them! They are really hot here in October with those winter coats! :) The video was helpful as I have not embarked on this before. I hired a professional for one horse, hope to do the second one myself.

Clipping a horse is extreme selfish behavior from those that do not understand a horse.

skew-----Do you even understand the concept of good horsemanship?

Imagine having a jacket on while working out in winter. When you have worked out for a while, you open the jacket so you don't sweat so much and you cool down. It's exacly what is happening to the horse when you clip it. Why is it cruel again?

A horse will lose the hair in spring and summer. Also this horse isn't clipped because it's warm but for the show. Every vet will tell you clipping a horse is bad because the natural losing of the hair is gone. Here you see it less and less. It's not cruel though and it's still a choice, but shaving off the whiskers shouldn't be done because they're there for a very good reason.

So cruel, stripping a horse of everything that is natural and necessary to the horse

Cruel would be doing this and turning this horse out to fend for itself. This is a barn kept show horse. Every need is provided for. Trust me, this is the least destructive thing to do to a horse. I believe she also mentioned that the horse was shedding anyway. This just speeds up the process.
