Jesse could have sucessfully dodged over half the trauma he got in this series if he committed to his idea of moving to Oregon.

Seeing Jesse go from a goofy stereotype of a stoner to a legitimately depressed person who's been traumatized by all the shit Walt's put him through was such a sad experience to watch
Jane dying was her fault because doing strong stuff is a death sentence. She was a ticking time bomb without Walt's interference. All she wanted was money and drugs and never cared for him
It really breaks my heart what happened to jesse, that's why I cannot rewatch it.
But it's not real, he is just a fictional character from a TV series called Breaking Bad. None of this happened in real life.

I really like how the situation in the beginning where Jesse messes up with the acid and disposing of the body could have been VERY easily avoided if Walt had taken five seconds to explain that the acid won’t eat through plastic, but it would eat through metal, ceramic etc.. Kind of a testament to how his ego always ends up causing both of them trouble.
So there's that...
That’s a very Walt thing to do. Instead of being helpful, he talks Jesse down to make him feel like an idiot, then proceed to sell how good his class is and why his students are dumb for not listening. In reality he’s just a very boring teacher.
@@nathanscott9585 He is inconsistently boring, when he actually wants to teach something to someone he does an amazing job, demonstrated by the whole thermite story he made, if he actually cared back then even someone like Jesse could have been good at chemistry
Well he was boozin, so I'm fairly certain he couldn't careless about explaining it to him, and if I can remember he was about to be high right after.

Jesse is the real example of 'you learn by doing, not just learning'
Its easy to learn some basic chemistry from jesse more than some professor teaching yoo😂
If you are dumb, you learn by doing, if you are an average human, you can learn anyway
@prafulyadav661 then I suppose you can code in any programming language without even practising a single minute
@@asfandsoomro9725 practice of that particular language falls under learning, not doing, that's how they teach you, doing refers to doing as in real life scenarios.
Practice is not doing, it's learning.
@@asfandsoomro9725If you didn't understand, read this comment.
For example, you practice math a lot, that won't come under doing and learning, that doing refers to real life scenarios, this doing here, is practice, which you do for learning purposes.
When you learn physics through practical, that's not learning by doing, that's learning by learning, but when, say a worker who has never took a physics class, learns a particular principle of physics just bcoz his work involves it, that's learning by doing, get the difference?

Don't forget the "secret ingredient" he told Tuco about when they were trying to poison him. "It's chili powder" lol
I fwken screamed when he said that
But like, even if the poisoning worked, Walt said it himself: it would take days for the poison to kick in. Tuco would've taken them across the border by that point. Both options were stupid as hell.

Early Walt and Jesse were the best. Like first 3 seasons. It was so realistic like if you put this really smart chemistry teacher with like the dumbest kid in his class, it was just so accurate. The look on Jesse's face when Walt was explaining stuff was so priceless. You could tell he was trying so hard not to disappoint lmao

Jesse’s strongest quality was his ability to learn. He was the best at learning compared to everyone else in the show.
I like how the creators were going to kill Jesse off, but liked him so much that they decided to keep him alive, but basically put him through a year of torture
And it elevated his character so much
And then he became the protagonist and main character
Blowfishin' all up
I'm honestly glad they didn't kill him off, his arc of becoming drug free made the show way better.

Lack of knowledge doesn't mean lack of intelligence. Jesse came up with genious ideas in 5th season remember, both ideas of magnet and the way they would rob the train came from Jesse.
That's the grown up jesse, literally a year after from these scenes
I think that was kind of the point of Jesse’s arc. He had self esteem issues because of his parents which caused him to think he was dumb but chances are he actually has a very high IQ and just has ADD. His little brother is a prodigy so he may have had similar pitentisl but just went down a bad path.

Sometimes, Walt is being dumb. He could just have told Jesse that the chemicals in the hydrofluic stuff would not react, rather than saying "You're stupid, listen to me"
Walt is egotistical and petty enough to fuel his pride by calling people stupid
yeah he's always dumb
He wasn’t feeling it tbh. You even just don’t feel like explaining something
@@BervikGameShorts I think Walt would be better of as a drug manufacturer than he would be a teacher in that case.
Honestly, Walt is being dumb for using hydrofluoric acid in the first place. Sodium hydroxide would have been much better (and also much easier to come by).
The last part of this video actually shows a crucial part of Jesse's character.
Jesse isn't stupid. He was always capable of learning, he just never tried until later in his character arc.
The ebola conversation always kills me
"What if I like go down to Mexico and everything is written in Mexican like I don't know that" got to be one of my favorite lines by Jesse.

You missed the scene where he thought Walt was going to build a robot to fix the RV. I love that part 🤣
i like to think he by the end of the series he wouldve aced that highschool chemistry class
Oh yeah, his meth became as good as Walt's
He probably could teach a chemistry class
He doesn't understand anything about chemistry outside of the simple process of cooking meth and he only got good at that by copying what Walt did. There even is an entire plot-line about how he can't do the most simple thing when trying to teach the Mexican cartel how to cook.
yeah I would've
Yeah he could replicate Walt's meth perfectly but I doubt he understood how all the steps actually worked and what each step did on a molecular level. He just followed steps. We saw that when he went in Mexico and the scientists made fun of him for not knowing how to make hydrofluoric acid
@@jobhighschoolofcrosscity8430 If I recall, you can prepare hydrofluoric acid by mining some fluorite minerals and reacting it with concentrated sulfuric acid in a double-displacement reaction to yield calcium sulfate and hydrofluoric acid. The calcium sulfate should precipitate out since it’s not very soluble, so you can just filter it out to leave you with pure hydrofluoric acid.
Either way though, I would love to imagine or even read an alternate-timeline fanfiction where Jesse pulls out of the meth business early and use his money to go to college to pursue a chemistry degree (maybe even in New Zealand with Jane enrolling in a fine arts program), thereby cutting his losses and saving himself from a life filled with anguish and death.

Say what you will about Jesse but that kid had a heart of gold amongst a sea of vile people.
I always feel a deep connection with him especially in season 3 as I also struggled from heroin addiction and they do a pretty decent job of depicting it.
I like how depending on what parts of this show you focus on it can have so many different themes. Like theres probably someone out there who thinks Breaking Bad is just a comedy show because of all the memes

jesse getting into the plastic bin sped up is just too funny 💀
I was about 20 years old when this show aired and I had the biggest crush on Jesse. At the deepest part of him, he was a kind soul, lost in a difficult world. He lacked love and affection from his parents, and didn’t know his role in life. Of course using substances isn’t the right way to deal with hardships, but it’s easily available and when you’re young, it’s very hard to know how to overcome pain without a proper role model.
At least he has a comprehensive understanding of magnets

His real problem is that he is a spineless coward.
@@thedarklord8770 Ig you haven’t watched El Camino

I think ur just retarded and this is literally how every drug addict acts. Had a friend in highschool who would come to school every other day off of his pain meds, he spoke and acted exactly like season 1 jesse
Laughed over a 100 times for Aaahhh wire, still feels fresh. What a character
_Ah wire!_
The funny thing is the show is over and i bet that Jesse don’t even know the “Basic Chemistry Yo”
He cooked good meth for the neo nazis though, you'd have to at least have some knowledge to do that
On the contrary, I’d like to think Jesse had a solid enough education from Walt to be able to go to college and pursue a degree in chemistry, especially if he had cut his losses and left the meth business early enough with Jane and moved to New Zealand like they planned (with Jane maybe using another chunk their money to enter a fine arts degree program). Like, one way to really stick it to Walt, if Jesse so desires, would be if Jesse advanced far enough to get a doctorate in chemistry with a dissertation on, say, enantiomer-selective reductive animation reactions, because Walt doesn’t even have a doctoral degree if I recall, so Jesse can gloat about it over him.
Comparing Jesse here and Jesse in El Camino is like comparing 2 diffrent characters
“It’s basic chemistry yo” 😂
