Not the end! I'm 74 and still swim. I wish I'd understood when my real swimming career ended the importance of staying in shape. If you never get out of shape you age much slower and enjoy a vibrant physical state right up until the end. So keep swimming! My personal salvation was open water swimming.
You've put in a lot of hard work and still made some awesome achievements in the past 3 years despite the challenges. Congrats bro 🔥👊
What a great wrap up to your swimming college career! I love your attitude and you will continue to do great things in the work world!! Well done, Marcos!!
great video, thanks for sharing!! All-in-all, you had a successful college athletic career.
Wow, the editing on this is on a next level! 👍
Begin Already, Can't wait!
Okay I’m eecs and I literally don’t have time to catch a break. Idk how you’re doing all that AND graduating in 3 years. Mad respect
Thanks for the concise timeline and congratulations on all you've accomplished-especially considering all the "extra" hurdles you had! 18.9, DAMN!
Wow it’s already been over 2 years since that first video??! We’re going to miss you so much!! So proud of you though for continuing to stay positive despite everything and we’re excited for your new future! Good luck! ❤️
I know crazy how fast time flies! And don't worry, I'll still be posting videos, you can't get rid of me that easily hahaha
@@marcosricopeng Thanks for sharing Marcos. I really hope you can respond to my other message on your college career on your other video when you can. Thanks for sharing .
@@leif1075 to be honest I can't find your comment. If you could comment it again I can respond!
@@marcosricopeng it's In your video the Harsh reality of a college athlete if that helps. Thanks for responding.
I’m super excited to see your new videos!! Goodluck and Congratulations!! so inspiring 🤩
Thanks for posting, Marcos, and it was interesting hearing about your busy years as an athlete. I'm sure it will be challenging, but exciting, transitioning from a college athlete to a work guy, speedos to work attire. But we know you can do it!
Keep up the good work Marcos like you do all these 3 years despite ups and downs and never get discouraged by the results. Happy Easter
Keep up the good work Marcos and thanks for your hard work and determination. 🎉💫✨😊

Idk if you'll actually read this but the editing on this video is insane bro! Good work!
Of course I'll read this - and thanks so much, glad to see someone notices the effort hahah
You about your times in yards: “They’re not good”
Me: “Those are all faster than my life time best times” 😂
I wish our high school did a king of the pool meet that seems fun
It seems interesting to watch all Marcos’s swim match from Spain to NCAA
i also wanna swim in college after i graduate if possible in d1. How would you describe the workload and the swimming as a college athlete?
Nice video thsnks for sharing
Awesome. What was your most memorable moment and most challenging season of your athletic college career?
🍻 Cheers Marcos, you're on the next chapter of your life. Goodluck & take care always. You're a magnificent Covid Survivor😘👍⭐️
podrias explicar como entraste en cal siendo español? como fue el proceso?
Holly crap those are some fast times
Hi Marcos, I came across your channel a while back, and I am wondering if you know a swimmer Ken Takahashi? He swam at Berkeley a couple years ago. He was my favorite coach, and you remind me a lot of him.
I never got to meet him; I think he graduated a year before me. Heard nothing but good things about that guy on the team too!
Congrats on a great career and to end it on a national champ team! Where will you be working? In the USA or back in Spain?
Thank you, super cool we got to win this year! I'll be working in the states next year
awesome video br0 ;) are u still training/swimming on ur own!? Congratz on your college journey ;) saludos bro desde Los Angeles, CA!!
Gracias! And mainly just swimming/lifting on my own but every once in a while I train with the team haha check out my previous vid for a more detail on what i've been up to hehe
@@marcosricopeng orale, thats wats up bro;) yea ill chk it out soemtime tonite... HAPPY EASTER bro;)
here watching premiere
Wow, your collegiate swimming journey has been fraught with so many setbacks but you chose to stay positive and do the best you could given the less than ideal situations. Nice work! 😀👌🏻
@@marcosricopeng I also just watched your video on daily life and just wanted to ask how you stay motivated and is your training mostly fun and enjoyable?? Thanks and hope to hear from you..
@@leif1075 yea I’m wondering the same thing. I am equally inspired yet ashamed of myself when I watch videos of collegiate athletes and their discipline and motivation. I need to do more. 😆
Haha good question. I think a bit misconception is that you need to be motivated at all times. But that's completely false haha there's so many times where I don't want to get up for practice and i feel super lazy but it's discipline and habits that pushes me through it. I think once you get over that initial hump and you start doing it regularly, like brushing your teeth, it starts to become who you are. And then you start seeing results and that is when the motivation comes to push even harder. Consistency is key!
@@marcosricopeng is it mostly fun and enjoyable then and not boring and tiring..life life too short to work so hard at something that's not mostly enjoyable..
bro i am from spain in the us too i never imagine you were bro spain your english is so good
Love you
Bro I legit saw you on a scooter while driving university by Trader Joe’s the other day!
❤❤❤
Miss u.
I think you actually look like Nathan Adrian
why did you go to cs class in person when you could watch 1.5x speed online?
Haha true but I felt like going to class forced me to actually listen lol
♡♡♡♡♡
Cookie 🍪
You should give me your swimming cap:)
Se hace notar lo dificil de: clases, tareas, entrenamiento, alberca, practicas. ¿Que promedio y rendimiento exige la Universidad a un atleta, Marcos?.
Saludos desde, Guadalajara, México
im surprised you never had early swim practice before 7 am in high school or something
Could record video download workouts in water
You have a great attitude and I enjoy your channel. Something popped up on YT for a college where they are having a Nike swim camp this summer... it was 2 roommates back in 2019 doing a tour of their room and it was pretty clear they had big plans for a college vlog on fashion and lifestyle. And after 3 videos, it just ended. Covid totally canceled so much. But the sad thing is that the sacrifices and the public health directions and recommendations cannot be definitely said to have helped anyone. Instead, by "flattening the curve", and by closing borders, they only ensured that the virus would be able to mutate and ricochet around the globe in a self-fulfilling prophecy. You may not care to share your personal health details, but simply the fact that you were allowed back on campus at Cal suggests that between your first covid infection and your second infection, you received the vaccine like a good responsible person following the experts recomendations. Too bad that by doing that you were making things worse not just for yourself in that your body may have done some screwy stuff internally in response to the action of the vaccine regimen, but that you and all other collegians have contributed to a public health vulnerability which is homogeneous immunity to a highly mutagenic virus. That is the real harm of vax mandates, but anyone who speaks about it gets shut down. Meanwhile kooks on the right can go to their tin foil had zone and talk about fetal cells and microchips in the vaccine and people believe it. But an amorphous concept like stochastic modeling of cobweb relationships between mutations and vaccinations is something that is easily swept under the carpet.
😉😉😉
Was i the only one flashed in the beginning?
Reminds me of the time you dropped all of you coins that time u were tryna act all cool
It’s a bit unfair u did t get to go with NCAA team as you won that relay in a record time for them👍
20 mins. before premiere is too long for a content long-awaited. It’s been weeks since his last.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
I can see your kudu bird
0:23 WTF
You have no accent 🤔
comment from China, the edit is nice but i think you talk too fast
Hell of a career! Glad you got to cap it off with that insane win!
Me too, definitely highlight of my time here!
