- Welcome back to LectricGo, where we tackle the daily grind with electric gusto! In this electrifying episode, we dive headfirst into the hustle and bustle of commuter life, armed with the Lectric XP 3.0 for day one of a five-day commute challenge.
Day One kicks off with initial impressions of the newly announced Lectric Xpress, a break down the pros: those big wheels, torque sensor, and the Manitou-engineered front suspension that has the potential to glide over urban terrain like a dream. But it's not all sunshine and smooth rides - some cons uncovered include the limited value of the free battery, lack of stock fenders, and lack of a stock rear rack. Plus, we compare it's features to the XP 3.0 commuter-friendly high points like the integrated lock and ample rack space, but also its drawbacks such as battery location and limited step-through ground clearance.
Navigating rush hour traffic is a breeze with the Lectric XP 3.0, and I'll share insights on why high PAS (Pedal Assist Setting) might just be the safer option amidst the chaos. But safety doesn't end there - we emphasize the importance of commuting with mirrors, respecting pedestrians, and using sidewalks when absolutely necessary.
As we tackle steep hills and high speeds, we delve into the impact of elevation on range and the first successful ride on Mr. Tuffy liners. Plus, we demonstrate that energy bars are not a reliable judge of range, and remind viewers not to jump the XP 3.0 or assume any car sees you.
And just when you thought things couldn't get any crazier, we encounter a wrapped Lambo amidst the urban jungle!
Stay tuned as we wrap up Day One with a check on the Lectric XP 3.0's state of charge after a demanding 15+ mile commute. Will it hold up to the challenge? Tune in to find out! Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more electrifying adventures on LectricGo!

I live in the Phoenix Metro area and I can tell you traffic here is terrible, drivers are terrible, accidents all the time. I ride on the sidewalk all the time, just for safety's sake. Here too it is legally allowed. If you ride on the sidewalk definitely be observant and courteous of pedestrians. I make this effort every day!!. Thanks for your videos I subscribe and watch them all the time. Tons of good info. Thank you!!😃
Thanks for the insight on the situation in Phoenix and for your support!
I appreciate you being clear and fair about the bike battery usage. Up hill vs downhill is critical. especially in places like Colorado. Vs DC where i life.
👉🏻 What all do you have mounted on your handlebars? I see a bell, a light (?), but what is that big round thing that looks like a fan?
I love your videos man ❤
Good info … congrats on day 1 ! Look forward to day 2. Answered a lot of my questions in the video. Seems you had a lot of battery left … in winter do you loose a lot of capacity? Wish your work would let you bring the bike inside so you could top up at an outlet & not have to pull the battery out!
Good visible bike rack … but I don’t trust that Lectric lock … I sold it & a better Kryptonite version & bought the 10.5x4” NY Kryptonite u lock for the rear tire & frame and a 4.5’ Kryp. cinch noose chain for the bike rack, run through front tire then secured to Ulock. I’m a student so study all day and want it very secure.
Hey, good video! Wanted your opinion on something. I'm relatively new to e-bikes but was considering getting an express or the xpeak since it has fatter tires. I probably would ride mostly on sidewalks and pavement, but would like to hit some dirt trails and stuff every so often. My initial thought is to go with the xpeak since it may be better for multi-purpose, but also think the xpress probably could handle some dirt as well. What do you think in your opinion?
I know you didn't ask me but fat tires are always going to be a lot heavier and harder to peddle. the xpress wouldn't be terrible for other terrain with decently wide tires, but fhe Xpeak isn't bad by any means
Give it some time and the finders and rack will possible be included in the price. I am going to wait.
Yes! Lectric often adjusts their package deals.
Enjoy all your videos! You mentioned that you wear other clothes as you commute to work. What bike pants are you wearing in this video. I need water proof pants as well for my commute.
You could have bought them all for 100 bucks
Thats not an xpress bike!
