- Come and join my friend and I in this vlog during our travels to St Moritz in Switzerland! Let me tell you; this place was BEAUTIFUL. Lots of luxury designer shopping too - I bought a new handbag from Louis Vuitton (check back next week to see the unboxing of that!). There were also stores there including Gucci, Jimmy Choo, Hermes, Louis Vuitton, Rolex and more.
I tried to film more of our skiing but the slopes were HARD! Like, red runs (which is one down from blacks) it was simply too dangerous and a little impossible ☹

Ahh I love watching videos like this! I did a ski season in Austria a few years ago. :) I'm currently doing my degree dissertation on tourism in the Alps and basically the reason why big brand names are in such a traditional resort is because they're strategically placed pretty much just for tourists. Otherwise they wouldn't be there. Only problem is, is that the locals can't afford to live in the resort anymore (unless they're very wealthy) because the housing prices increase, especially when designer brands get placed there. I just find this really interesting and thought I'd share with you because you mentioned about big brands in the resort. :)

Agreed. It would be the same price or more where I live in California. But, Belgium. That’s there the prices for good chocolate goes down.
Next year you should visit Livigno...it's like not even an hour away from St. Moritz and it's TAX free zone. So all luxury brands are much cheapper and skin care products, make up, parfumes, eye wear, sports equipment...!😊 and also the ski slopes are amazing! And parties are to die for🔝

He went to Zurich and Geneva for business but was invited to go skiing at St Moritz for a few days. I would’ve loved to come, it looks so beautiful! I heard that the pharmacy sells fur coats 🤣

P.s. did you walk on the lake St.Moritz? It is frozen and they do White Turf horse races ON the frozen lake. If you don't know that the big white area is a lake, you'd hardly realise it. But it's huge :D

that tower, as soon as you showed it, i had the impression someone'd jumped out of it. it quite reminds me of those buildings in venice and the sad history of prisoners who've been sentenced to death...
Just some advice with the boots, my family and I love skiing and go every year to Japan for it. My mum had the same issue with her boots and her feet were constantly cold. She told a worker at the ski shop this and they recommended custom boots. They create a mould around your feet and create custom boots just for you. I believe the brand is called Nordica and you can get an in built electronic heater if your feet get cold too. They certainly aren’t the prettiest boots I’ve seen but my mum LOVES them and I thought I’d share it with you. Hopefully this is of use to you !! I love your channel and it’s refreshing to see a down to earth and honest blogger!
Have you ever tried rinsing your new denim in white vinegar before you wear them, it sets the dye? Put your new denim in the washing machine on cold. Run through a lite wash and put white vinegar in the fabric softener dispenser.

Sophie, see your waist bag, how did it perform on the slopes? Did it flap around or move round to the back, did it impinge your activities? i do dancing (lindy hop) and have been looking for a waist bag since 2013 and thus far failed. I need it to be secure and not flap around. thanks. FAB VID!

They are not. You can get them cheaper elsewhere.

I was in St. Moritz in the summer of 2016... It was so beautiful 😍. It was the most expensive place I've been to. I went to that chocolate store and bought a piece (1/4) and paid almost 20 swiss francs😩

Alcohol is a must into the fondue (kirsh actually), also, you have to drink wine with it no water or other beverages or it'll be too heavy in the stomac. You if you like swiss mountains, I suggest Davos, it's near S.Moritz
