Your crew puts together some of the most impressive equipment on the market. Clean, very little, if any rust, and with very good tread remaining on the tires.
I drove this truck as its original heavy equipment transport system purpose in the Army. I think it would be cool also as cargo truck like the 5-ton series.
There's a truck that can take a full load of gravel and a Excavator to the job site. A 35 foot trip axle 50 ton tilt deck behind it with a D6 and a full dump of gravel still wouldn't reach its top GVWR..
Good looking truck. I'm sure it would haul way more weight than legal for its length. I think the side boards are overkill, and it would be impossible to load it with a backhoe or a skid steer. Some rock plants would have trouble getting their loaders over those boards. Cool truck though. Did you sell it?
Awesome.... So, this Beast can haul 85 tons of dirt, while climbing a 90 degree vertical mountain in the snow, survive a nuclear/biological attack or blast, going 45 MPH with 4 tires flat.... all the while LOOK GOOD doing it. :-)
The HET is rated for 170,000 lbs.Throw whatever you want at this truck.

20 tons of dirt and it might go up a 15 degree incline loaded. It's got a 2 stroke Detroit, they don't pull hills too well. My 8v92 has larger injectors and more boost pressure and it's still wont keep up with my small Cat.
This truck looks brand new. What was the cost to acquire this vehicle. Unless you did upgrades which are outstanding. What type of license are required for this vehicle? Surely it will be for commerical use. It looks great. Does this truck have AC Unit on top? It appears you have the inside track on the auctions for military trucks. There has been a lot military trucks that are hardly used.
OMG I love big trucks. This truck can really be useful in my cottage in Kentucky. I have 210 achers of trees 1 BEAUTIFUL hone and 2 big barns. I love cutting my own wood for the fireplace...
Detroit Diesel, 8x8, dump box, automatic transmission, what more could you ask for in a truck, I'd like to see this brute plow some snow on the highways don't think anything would stop it
I wish I had the money to buy one of these trucks because my town would hate my guts because I would most likely be driving around town looking for scrap metal and then using this to take it to the scrap yard every month
Voice of experience you're going to have two problems when you load it the tires are going to hit the bottom of the bed when you go through rough terrain the tires are going to hit the bottom of the bed if the material sticks in the nose of the bed when you dump it it will turn over been there done that got the T-shirt
Haw about economical point of this build? is it gonna make profits as a dump truck, actually working, or just sitting and looking good for photo shoots? Army is buying it? TH
Is that truck powered by a Detroit 8v71 series engine, I curious if a Detroit 6v53 or a 6v71 series would fit in a M35a2 deuce without any drastic modifications?.
Truck in video has a 8v92. You can repower a deuce with a 6v53 or 6v71. You'd get better results with a 12 valve cummins and a Eaton 7 speed with a PTO.
@@bladenrexroth2555 : Thank you for your response. I've seen several Cummings upgrades in a M35a2 but never seen one powered with a Detroit, I guess there is a reason why. Thanks again. Kind regards Eric Dee
@@thevacuumtubejunky9774 a cummins provides maximum torque at a lower rpm. A detroit reaches it's torque at a higher rpm. Example. A 12 valve cummins with 300 hp should produce 800 ft #'s of torque. It will deliver 800 ft #'s at 1200-1400 rpm. A 300 hp 6v53 should produce around 800 ft #'s but it will deliver that torque around 2200 rpm. A 2 stroke tends to be more efficient when it's in higher rpms. The comfort zone of a 2 stroke is in higher rpms. A 300 hp cummins will give your deuce over double the HP and almost triple the torque. You'll be able to run your winch.

' very good military truck... americans armys and marines can keeps that truck using for missiles / rockets, personal services / carriers / arms weapons, cannon gun, machine gun
SS 81 doesn’t matter what it’s rated for, the legal limit for US highways is 80,000lbs. And even still, it depends on what the axle weight limit restrictions are in the state the truck is driving in. For instance in PA, that truck could only weigh 73,280lbs legally.
+The Way Of MGTOW for what you can pick them up for at auction, changing the gears would be a worthwhile investment. what a waste of 500 V8 horses !! lol
Your probable right about the aftermarket. BUT why would you want after market? Eaton sells everything you would need. Their not some weird, special, one of a kind axle. Actually their an "off the shelf" axle. Ring Gears, Diffs, Housings, HUB ECT ECT are all over the place..............
Oshkosh made strong stuff that was off the charts for toughness, period
Love the fact that it has steerable axles in the rear!
After driving an M 1070 HETT all over Iraq and Kuwait in 2004-2005, I never want to hear another two stroke diesel again !!!
Ears still ringing?
Lol Detroits are loud...but they produce a lot of torque...I loved my Detroit 60 Series in my International 9400 Eagle

Most overkill dump truck I've ever seen
I drove one of these in its original M1070 HET's while on a British Army exchange to Fort Douglas Wisconsin in the 80's.
I didn't know it existed with a dumpster, beautiful machine
Awesome eye candy you certainly have a niche with this military stuff is so cool thank you for sharing

Yup that's says Dirt Perfect all over it . LT.Dan meet General Patton. Sweet looking truck.
That truck is fantastic!
One of my absolute dream trucks
That's the coolest dump truck ever
High Clint, you could do with swapping the old dump truck out for the M1070 Oshkosh 8x8 dump truck then you can put some decent weight on it.
My wife just asked me if I was watching a food commercial, I was drooling lol🤤
man that thing is super nice. do another one.
