Honestly, if I were shopping on your website, and had the choice of the perfect ones or the ones that are not , I would buy the one that looks less structured and more artistic! You have something to please everyone in this set of soaps! They are just so awesome! ❤
Thank you💕🌏
Love the colors. ❤ Maybe if you remake them try switching out the middle shape in each mold. So heart, circle, heart in one and vice versa in the other one. That may give you a little more wiggle room for your spacing on the heart loaves:)
That's a fantastic idea❣️ Thanks🌎
I love that idea!!!
Beautiful. I love them. They all have THIER unique designs
I totally agree!🌍
Very interesting sharing!
Watching and getting pleasure 😊
The soap still came out good. You still have a high skill set, more than most of us. The soap will still get you clean.
🌎👍
Maybe next time you could make a black spacer to go in between so the globes don't get cut off?
Good idea👍
This is my 7 year old's favorite soap you make. He loves the Earth and the Moon soaps.
Awww, Thanks🌎 I'm glad he likes them!
The magic of arts and craft love it 💙
These turned out so well! I love your creativity and seeing how things work out even when it isn’t like you plan.
Thanks so much! 😊🌎
You’re most welcome. 🙂
I’m so glad you showed us the little imperfections I the soaps. It is nice to see that even experienced soap makers have little issues sometimes.
Oh yes, I have good days and challenging days🤣🌎
Hi Helen this is the beauty of soap making.
And your attitude about it is great!
If you look at the Earth it's rotating, that's amazing.
Love these ❤
I love these!!! Wow!!! ❤
These are beautiful Ellen!
These are cute!!!
Beautiful work Ruth, thanks
Oh, they are gorgeous, even if they aren't what you planned. The offset ones look like "earth-rise"! And the texture is so beautifully creamy. Charcoal soaps are just lovely. Thanks for the video, always inspiring. 👏
Thanks so much! 😊🌎
Love them...They look intentional, 🤩
Whoa! Beautiful Art! 😍
Thanks for the gift of your vulnerability sweetness!
Thank you so much 😀🌏
They are absolutely beautiful! You can change up your next batch a little!

Thank you! 😊
Well those turned out great!
Thank you 🌏
These are my fav bars! They're stunning!
Thank you so much🌎❣️
Hi Ellen! I loved them all in their own unique ways. But I can see how u would be disappointed since it wasn’t exactly what u we’re going for. But I’m really serious, they really r cute. I specially love the heart that is cut off. It’s adorable. Great video as always. Thank u for sharing!!❤
Thank you for your sweet encouragment🌎
Love these! Thanks for sharing your process even though the outcome wasn’t 100% what you hoped.
Thank you 🌍
As you were pouring the black i noticed the third heart mould role over you didnt notice. I thought an outside one.
Love them anyway. 😊
I really enjoy the video. Don't worry so much, actually the hearts ones have a very nice earth look. You did a great job as always.
Thank you so much!🌎
Amazing!!!! ❤
Thank you! 🌏
@@EllenRuthSoap I love your videos. I learn a lot with them. I am a soap maker from Spain. I'm starting to sell them. You are an inspiration to me.
Still look great!
Those are gorgeous! Art is subjective and i really feel like they are perfect in every way.
Thank you🌎❣️
You’re welcome. 🙂
They are fine. Don’t be bummed.
These are so cute! I really like the ones with the round globe look but they’re all fantastic! I wish we had smell o vision 😊 Very nice! I don’t see any imperfections just next time if your bottom soap is a little thicker the hearts will stand up. Trial and error but all are great!!!
Still pretty and so creative, I think you could save the round ones that has some other embed in it. You should make it a smaller bar by cutting it down. With your hearts, you know top from bottom, but you could sell it on its side. Love your videos and your creativity
👍🌎❣️
The heart of the ocean
Ellen, they are still very beautiful. You don’t make mistakes if you don’t work. It’s part of the journey. I tried the original earth soap way and they are very hard to make. Your earth is absolutely beautiful. Mine is muddy. My girlfriend said her favorite soap is with the ‘blue thingy’ in the middle. She did not recognize my earth. 🌎❤️
🤣 Bue thingy, that's funny! Hey, I bet it's still great soap🌎
I just love these so much. You are amazing. Wish I could buy them....
Glad you like them!🌍
Wow, they are so beautifully, i wish i could buy one 😍. I know the fragrance and it's delightful. Your soaps are truly one of the most beautifully ones
Maybe it's better to do these in single loafs. It's more work but this way nothing get cut
I understand what you were going for but I think they're awesome!!!😊
Thanks 😅🌎
I just love it, what you can do is cut out the small piece of earth, and I think they will look beautiful.
Anyways I had fun with the video.
Lol that’s so funny you mentioned the mess with column mold falling over. I just had that happen yesterday. Oh what fun. Lol soap everywhere!!!! 😂😂Soap came out cute Lol thank goodness it was just a test batch!!! I love watching the process of this soap. I’ve watched it the last time you made it. And I love the heart idea. ❤❤❤
Next time you could take one heart column and put it in with the batch of circles. And vice versa.
Don’t be bummed out. I think it’s a genius whoopsie lol reminds me of earth and it’s twin. Or another planet. Especially how it’s off centered. I love it. And think you did amazing!!!! 💚💙🤍
Thank you❤️🌏
Looks great even if they didn't turn out exactly they way you wanted. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!🌎
Don't beat yourself up about the little imperfections, they look lovely and I would definitely buy them. They are handmade and that is to be expected sometimes.
Thank you for sharing 😊 xx
Thank you 🌍❣️
Hi Ellen
I’ve been a soap maker for 7 years. I have a customer who loves activated charcoal in his soap so I made my luxury goat milk bars. I used the Peach fragrance oil from Bescented which is lovely but bc I know as a man he loves a strong scent I combined the fragrance with Apple Mango Tango from WSP. My recipe took some time to saponify but I seperated it as soon as I saw emulsion take place so I could color some with TD. I added the activated charcoal and the mixed fragrance oil to one portion and blended until a light trace. Next I added the TD mixed with water and the rest of the fragrance oil. As I blended the oils it started to saponify then it split on me and I could see the fragrance oil seperate! I didn’t know what was going on so I kept blending. It would not blend then as I kept stirring it looked like it was getting thick so I stopped and starting pouring the activated charcoal batch in the mold and followed with the TD batch so I could swirl but the first batch was setting up so I just poured the white batch on top and didn’t try to swirl. As I was putting it to bed, I noticed the white batter was loose like liquid!!! I put it to bed hoping it would work itself out overnight, but it didn’t gel. After 24 hours there was an excess of oil floating throughout the top of the soap while the bottom batch was firm. I blamed it on the mixture of fragrances but could it have been the TD? I was so confused so I had to rebatch the whole batch and a lot of the loose oils got thrown out. It is curing now. So I tried the recipe again but made sure I stick blended the white batch to a med trace and it did it again only this time I just kept on blending past the seperation until the batch had a thick trace and I just poured the white batch in a seperate mold and the black batch was in its own mold. I left it for 48 hrs without unmolding and the black batch was firm and the white batch was harder with what looked like some small oil spots on the soap. I know I measured my oils and lye correctly yet it smells lye heavy and I can’t smell the peach fragrance at all! I’m really puzzled as to what happened. Can you give me your thoughts on what may have happened? And when using activated charcoal in soap do you have to use only essential oils? And let me mention I mixed my kaolin clay with my fragrance oil before adding it to the batter. I hope you can help me figure this thing out 😢 Thank you in advance 🥰
I've had no issues with using A.C. in soap... Not sure what happended.?.
@@EllenRuthSoap ok thanks
Love your videos, Ellen. Out of all the soap making channels I've watched, your soaps are the most beautiful. I'm new to soap making because I have a lot of my goat milk to use up. I'm curious if you have a video that shows all the different additives available and their uses in soaps, like the clay, silk fibers, etc?
Farm fresh goat milk is the best❣️ That’s a great idea for a video. I don’t have one video that talks about all of the additives in one shot👍
In soaping....as you know, anything can happen and we roll with it. Those did turn out nice. The hearts are wonderful. I love how you make the earth & heart colors work for you. Wonder if you put dividers into the mold after pouring first layer, would help keep the imbeds you put in next, in place while you pour the remainder in. Maybe a little more trace? Just guessing as I haven't tried that yet.
Cheers 👍💕
I'm wondering about dividers too... Going to have to think this thru and try again❣️
I’m in love with the earth soap. It might be better to be made in an individual molds. I tried 5 times and didn’t turn out pretty. I won’t give up and keep making them ‘till I get it perfect.
Yes, I'll keep trying❣️🌎
They are beautiful either way. Maybe you can mark the mold with a different soap after u cut them so that when u are using embeds u hv a gage as to where to place them so they won't get cut
Good idea👍 I'll be tring this again💗
Hi mam.... Love from India recent times i addicted your creativity videos🥰 soon i'll become an entrepreneur like u
💗🌏
Even though not everything went according to your plan but they are still nice.
😍
Hi Ellen, I love your gorgeous soap, I would like to know where you got the soap stamp and how do you order it with your logo?
Here's where I got my stamp from: amzn.to/47duGob
Hey Ellen I was wondering do you ever work with melt and pour and if you do I was wondering if you could do like a really beautiful pink and purple melt and pour thx a bunch I love your content
I've worked with MP a few times, it's fun and easy❣️
Hi ms Ellen. I watch your shows all the time an you do such good work. I took up making soap since I can’t work anymore. I’m so hooked on it I’ve got so much I have done an it’s just setting here. I’m not good at all opening a store been trying but never been any good at selling either. It really depresses me to know I have all this stuff here an can’t sell or even make anymore cause I’ve got so much already picked up. I would give it away but don’t know who to give to either. O well. If you have any advice please let me know
eco soap bank takes soap donations, or any local shelter, rehab or church might be blessed with donations.?.
They are very cute Ellen😊
The black/activated charcoal as you said is a stunning black. How much do you use per pound? I’ve don’t the rule of thumb amount but sometimes it just doesn’t get as black as I’d like.
Also soap making Ming can be challenging and it has a mind of its own at times! Nonetheless, it’s still a wonderful bar of soap with lots of lovely skin benefits 🥰🫶🏻
*done
A good amount is 1-2 tsp per lb of oils.
Could i ask you for a favour?😊
So thankful that you share your perceived “fails”. They are beautiful, and seeing professional soapers work through this stuff is soooo helpful to us novices. Know that you are very appreciated! 🫶🏻
Thank you so much!🥰
