It is really nice to find your recipe. It sounds great and I watched step by step so wish me luck. I don't have condensed milk on hand and evaporated milk is hard to find here. I wonder if I could use a couple of cans of coconut milk? Thanks so much. Greetings from Denmark.
Hi Natasha!!!! I love your salt shaker!!!!!! Believe it or not I've never had rice pudding ever! Looks like you've inspired me to making this and trying this!!!!! Thanks as always for sharing! You're a good instructor😎😎😎😎
What a wonderful way to make rice pudding !! even better that its prepared in a crock pot !! great tips and easy to make. I think this recipe is a keeper- will definitely try this holiday !! come and visit me some time. I'm sure we'll make great friends !!
Beautiful apron, Natasha! Ooh, that cookbook looks intriguing. I've got two Fix It and Forget Its but that one must contain many volumes. Love the idea of rice pudding in the crock pot. For us I'd have to reduce it a lot but that is the joy of having multiple sizes of crock pots, right? Lol! Love your salt shaker, it is similar to the set my mom uses that was my dad's parents. I bought a reproduction that size in cobalt and just love it. I'll give your recipe a try but my spin will be to use my home-dehydrated instant rice--seems like a good application for that. Or do you think not? I just love hearing your pets in the background, it makes your videos that much homier. Edit: woohoo, I have this recipe in one of my cookbooks!
It is called pause. That is what I did to make sure I had it all. But here it is 2 1/2 cups cooked rice, 1 1/2 cups evaporated milk or scalded milk, 2/3 cup brown sugar or white sugar, 2 tsp. vanilla, 1 egg, beaten, 1 Tbsp. soft butter, 1/2 - 1 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 - 1 cup raisins. Mix ingredients together in slow cooker and cook on high 2 hours or low for 4 -6 hours. Eat warm or cold.
Wow i just tried this recipe, i used long grain white rice & i put it in my large crockpot at (12:30) today, it's now after (4:30) pm & it's still not done, somewhat of a disappointment, that it's taking so long. i used 2.5 cups of the rice along with the proper amount of liquids too.
Melody England long grain will take longer than short grain rice. That being said, the is a difference in crockpots. Some of the new ones cook very fast and tend to scorch the bottom of the food. I only have one new one that actually cooks like I think it should. I hope your rice gets cooked soon! 💖
@@canningcraftingcrochetingt7910 Thanks for the quick reply, well it fin ally got done at around (5:30) last evening, wow i'll never use long grain rice ever again, have you ever used the brown rice, i'll bet that would take a long time to cook as well.
Would love to see simple crock pot meals that uses basic ingredients, Thank You for sharing

The butter has markings on it. You don't have to scoop it with spoon.

Melody England I have not used brown rice but I wonder if you parboiled the rice it would help. Probably just one of those trial and error things.
Can you can rice pudding?
Susann Minall I have not so I’m not sure.
Wow yummy 😋😍
Get that kitty some soft food, we just give a tablespoon a day with the dry.
