- I seen a few USO personnel going to a gate at Las Vegas Airport. I followed and this was the outcome. A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS for this family. Just wanted to share this with all of you. Hope you enjoy it.
i remember when i came home i didn't tell any one my dad found out he was there at cheektowaga N Y airport i saw my dad &my sister we hugged & shook hands a moment in my life i will always cherish R.I.P. DAD ( thought i'd share with youtubers)
Sorry you lost your dad. Welcome back Brian.
Sadly as a veteran I remember coning home after being deployed and NOBODY was there. I'm from a broken home and I am telling you 32 years later I still remember that feeling. This is so very cool to do and respect for the family, friends and USO for being there for this soldier. Gary
Thank you very much for your service Gary.
@@puupilo96746 Thank you very much-I appreciate it.

thank you for your service
@@sypulutlepa Thank you and saw you are from Malaysia. never been there, but time in Cambodia, Laos and Thailand-many videos on my channel.
We honor the dead beautifully! Now our country needs too honor our veterans the same!! Not leave them homeless and hungry on the streets, dealing with PTSD by themselves.
Wonderfully said Lori. Thank you for watching ..
@rockit730 I do not agree with you on your Statement, but you are entitled to say what you want, that is what they are fighting for, your freedom to think and say what you want.
@rockit730 You epitomize ignorance. I am a DAV benefits officer and a veteran with PTSD. I'm also a Wharton School graduate that owns a tech company, but like many veterans, we suffer everyday. While I have done well in life, some cannot cope as well, they saw things that few might be able to understand. Sure some use a fake PTSD excuse, but there are some with serious issues attributed to serving our country. Most veterans do not get any benefits other than a VA loan which most do not use and a $200 towards a flag when they die. Most veterans that have PTSD do not even say they ave PTSD, they hide it, again your post is ignorant on many levels. I concur with My Philippine Adventures, you are entitled to say what you want and I too fought for that right for you. After traveling to 20 countries in my life, it is the only place where you have the highest freedoms out there. Even the Philippines and I have been to Luzon, Mindanao, Cebu they just let their borders open to let their pwn people out, but here in America we never got our borders locked down, nor does your speech.
Got out of the service 1964 in the heat of it all. As others had said it was if we had lepoersy or worse. Took a bus home with stares of disgust. Once off the bus I walked the 2 miles to my house. On the way there was a large field to travel through. Couldn't believe my eyes as I gazed ahead. There was my dog standing at top of the hill. Tail wagging but unsure if it was really me. She"d never seen me in my unis. Took my hat off an called to her. Best greeting I ever got. Bonds cant be broken.
there is nothing disgusting in serving your country and your people
I want to apologize, my father had the same type of homecoming. My son is in the airforce, I hope he never has this happen.
Jerry Nevius thank you very much for fighting to keep our freedom.
Jerry Nevius thank you for that story. Appreciate your service my friend
Animals are amazing, especially dogs, they never forget you!
Every veteran should return to a welcome like this.
I am so glad airport allows family members entered the terminal to greet this solider.
Came home on leave from Afghanistan in 2004. The plane pulled to the gate and no one got up. The lady sitting next to me finally said, "sir we're all waiting for you to get up". Best 2 weeks ever!
That's the way it should be. Thank you for your service.
You would think that someone in first class would have exchanged seats with this soldier. That's the least someone could do. God forbid that the airline would upgrade him. That would considered a MIRACLE!!!
Upgraded to first class? Soldiers returning from Vietnam felt they were being honored if no one spit or or threw dog poop at them.
All I have to say is hearing “welcome home” as a military member myself is literlly the only works i ever want to here.
Devin Johnson thank you for your service sir. It’s deeply appreciated
thank you for your service ! and if you're now home......WELCOME HOME !!!
HONOR AND RESPECT AND KINDNESS AND GRATEFULNESS ALWAYS AND ONLY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILIES THAT COMPLETELY SACRIFICES FOR ALL OF US
I agree 1,000%
Yessss, give them first class EVERYWHERE!!!
It always warms my heart to see some take the time to show their appreciation for those who serve!🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Soldiers need to be first class on all flights
You said it. I agree with you on that statement. Thank you!!!
FREE
You are absolutely right! They should be in first class for all flights. How does one advocate to make this happen?
TNandProud!!! Any Military personnel.
The government buys us cheap seats on planes.
I remember coming home from Vietnam, April, 1973, sat at Washington (now Reagan) National waiting for Dad to pick me up, people walked by, looked the other way, or went the long way around, not one person stopped or said anything, Thank goodness times have changed.
Hi Wayne. Well I know its late but thank you for your service during Vietnam sir. I know you were not treated well by the civilians and I apologize for them. We appreciate your service my friend. You are the best!!!!
Thank you, things are much, much better now for the troops, so I'm am guessing America can learn from the past.
I know this is late but thank you for your service and sacrifice 🇺🇸
I feel you, bud..I remember flying home from that dreadful place (was encouraged by my CO to wear civvies to avoid any confrontation at the airport..but decided on my Class-A anyway)..sure enough, upon my arrival in San Francisco, I experienced similar fate as you. Since I still have a six hour bus ride to my hometown, I decided to change at the first "latrine" I saw..glad (this time around) it's not like that for our fellow soldiers anymore, and I'm all good with that//
Thank you for your service.
Coming home for leave was awesome, but coming home from the tour was the best feeling ever.
Welcome home brother I remember when I was flying home four my 2 week leave from Afghanistan the airline employee cam up to me while I was in line waiting to board she seaid this isn’t a vacation flight four u is it she took my ticket and returned with a first class ticket four me I was in shock it felt good to know people still care four us
We care more than you think my friend Thank you for serving and Welcome home my friend.
In 2020 - USO - you give me tears of gratitude from Australia.
Yes Sir.
My profound thanks to this soldier for his service and to his family for their support of him. GOD BLESS every man and woman that wears the uniforms of all United States services. I'm glad his homecoming was a joyful one.
Soldier gets off at 2:48
Save yourself the pain.
ha ha
Lol Thank you for that
Thank you
i fast forwarded til i saw the family move
You think they'd have thought it through but whatever
My fiancé is coming home in the next two weeks after an 8 month deployment. I’m so excited I can’t wait to see her!
Jason Ryan That’s awesome my friend. Tell her thank you for her service and to you as well.
That is an awesome and very special thing to see our soldiers come home safe and sound. Thank you to all that serve and served this great country.
Awesome respect for all the soldiers and families, love it
Kevin O'Keefe thank you sir. Appreciate your comment
Heartwarming but I didn’t need to see 3 minutes of strangers walking out of a plane
Welcome home! Thank you for your service and sacrifice
If I was in first class on any plane with a soldier on it, I would insist that we change seats. He or she will demur and say its not necessary and I will say just get in the seat and thank you for your service to our country. They ALL deserve that!
For all you know, that "brave" soldier was just working in the kitchen. Most of you are so naive to think that the military only has soldiers in the battlefield. They CHOSE to serve. USA ain't a country that has compulsory conscription like South Korea where a private earns a whopping 257 dollars per month as a soldier.
AWESOME. !!!!! No further comment necessary. Many thanks for serving our country. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank god he isn't coming home with a battlefield cross, bless that veteran. 🇺🇸
Yes sir. Thanks for your comment. Appreciate .
I’m glad someone honored This fallen vet.they need all they can get, when we came out of Vietnam we were treated like shit, but I still love my country no matter what,a Vietnam veteran
Thank You for Your Service. You are the BEST!!! God Bless
Thank You for showing us his "GREAT WELCOME" Kevin
I'm happy for them.
This is great, brings back so many memories definitely one of the best feelings anyone can experience. Right before one of the worst feelings anyone can feel that's when your R&R is over and you got to return and say your goodbyes. After my first deployment I stopped having my family come with me when I was going back, no need in making it any harder than it already is.
Yes I understand. Thank you for your service sir. We appreciate ya
@@OurPhilippineAdventure Oh thanks bro, appreciate that. Hope you and the family are happy and blessed.
These videos always gets me teary eyes

It would have been nice if we'd have been able to see him.....? . Thank you for your service sir and welcome home
he should've been the first off the plane but he waited for others yo get off the plane serving others first still God Speed ^j^ ^j^ ^j^
I agree with that Cindy for sure.Serving others first is what our fighting men and women do. God Bless them all.
He probably had a cheap at the back of the plane (no thanks to the government) plus he has his sea bag, can't pull that bag down when people are a hole to belly button.
Very proud!! Very noble!!
welcome home!!!! we are all so proud!!!!

Great video....got to love the guy in the Montreal Expos jacket at 2:15
I bet he had fun later on that night. Lucky
that was awesome :)
Go uso go love yalls
It struck me when someone called out, “Welcome Home”. That in 1972, no one said that to me.
Too late now, but it makes me feel good that service men today experience that.
sorry for the past sir.. But welcome home it's a little late but many here appreciate your service.
Maybe cuz it was an illegal war just like these I feel sorry for u guys u die and get blown up for lies
Welcome home and thank you for your service 🇺🇸🇺🇸
My husband was NEVER greeted like that when he came home from Vietnam war.😔
Wow this moment make me emotional, very touching moment
Yes I know.. I could feel it when I was doing the video.
Welcome home brother
Guy is one of the reasons air travel is safe he should be first if that plane xx
Respect for U.S troops from FIJI 🇫🇯
Okay. I fkn cried. I’m a vet.
Awesome
I agree with u.👍👍👍
Es triste ver que sus esposas esten esperando despues de un largo tiempo a sus esposos pero una alegria que me hace llorar
TO ALL VIETNAM VETERANS - You did NOT deserve the hostility you, UNfairly, endured. As a Peace Activist, I wish to assure you that we were only opposed to the conflict itself - NOT any military personnel. You all, w/ BRAVERY & DEDICATION, fulfilled your duty at the time. WE WANTED ALL OF YOU TO BE ABLE TO COME HOME SAFE & SOUND. Best Wishes to all of you.
Welcome Home!
Welcome home ❤
One like from Indian soldier.
Welcome home 🙏
Soldier: Thank you for your service. Welcome hime!
Picture this scene back in 1969, but nice too see this soldier home safe and sound. Great video thanks for sharing
Hi Tom. Thank you for your comment. Yes. 1969 would have been a lot different for this soldier. Things have changed, but for me soldiers are the greatest human beings ever. I love our American soldiers, airman, marines and coast guard troops.
TEN-HUT!!!! THERE IS AN OFFICER ON DECK!!!!
Yey!!!!!👏👏👏👏
Retired back in 2006. Flew home from Japan... No one was there to get me from the airport. They said that the roads would be packed during Thanksgiving. As I took the train home (about an hour from JFK) I looked out the window and gazed at an empty parkway. They just didn't want to be bothered picking me up....
Valio la pena la espera en el video...
love it
I agree
23 years Navy 62 to 85, deployed many deployments
When I returned treated with either disrespect or indifference
Sorry sir for your bad treatment returning home, but many of us do not disrespect any American in uniform. Thank you for your service and a virtual shake of your hand sir. Welcome home, a little late but truly deserved.
Great
GOD bless are Troop's 🙏🙏🇺🇸😀
Welcome home soldier
It is great to see the military welcomed back home, but is very hard for me as I was in Vietnam from 1966 to 1970 I was a marine fighter pilot and was captured. I was in country 4 years .when I came home my welcome home was cups of urine and red paint thrown on us and called baby killers.
49 years later it still hurts.
It is good these military are welcomed back.
So sad that it was like that back then. I say to you, Sir, thank you for your service. God bless you and know that your service is appreciated.
@@sheilakalkbrenner3092 thank you very much.
Leonard Englehart, Whether for or against the war, there was absolutely no excuse for the treatment our military was subjected to when they returned home. I'm sorry you had to go through all that you did and I hope you know everyone didn't feel that way. I hope life has been good to you.
@@SamtheMan0508
I thank you for your kind words.
Most people were against all of the branches of military from Vietnam.
When I first got out I went to college but quit after a month being shamed.
I did go years later and now have a PHD.in avation.
I wake up every day and am thankful to be here in one piece .
I'm one proud US. Marine and even prouder to be in this great American.
Thankyou for your kind reply.
@@leonardengelhart1965 I've heard it many times, "Once a Marine, always a Marine". I'm truly happy for you.
TYFYS !!!
Skip to 2:45. Very nice of you guys.
Disclaimer most of the video is just him videoing other people so if you want to see the soldier skip to the end of the video
3:41 if the anticipation is too much ❤
You cannot get to the gate area to welcome anyone any more unless you have a boarding pass and photo ID to pass through TSA screening. They must have made very special arrangements to do this. Then again, it is Las Vegas...
I knew it, whoever was working the camera kept going to the family and he missed the soldier coming through the door.
