There's a certain something about your playing that is calming and comforting, even when you play etudes. It makes me want to just play the piece myself, even on simple pieces like these you manage to bring a whole new set of colors and nuances that makes the piece pop for me. Thank you Paul for sharing your gift with us and educating and exposing us to new gems like these.
I'm a pianist 2,and i couldn't agree more,, i wouldn't say its that simple, of course it oa compared to grade 8 beethoven or post grade 8 Bach, it must be at least grade 5-6,,?,but yes thia guy is one of my favourite subscribers on CZcams, and alsk I've got asperges and domt read music, jist learn from watching and listening, and ive taught myself a few pieces from just watching this guy, its so good that he does birds eye view, takecare 🎼
Tears of deep emotion floods my eyes from my soul... a stunning interpretation! The musical transcription of this... one of the most beautiful pieces ever composed... was perfectly done!
Wonderful, Paul, I will try to play this piece. I've never seen or heard of it on piano before, and you've made it so easy to have and share with others! great job! Bob
Just beautiful! I’ve been playing this piece for decades, so I thought maybe I can steal some fresh insight! But it’s pretty much the same; the only difference I could find was your calmer tempo, and I roll the final chord. But your technique is much more refined than mine.
This piece of music looks very learn able I think I still have the ability to read music I just have to learn how to coordinate the left hand with the right hand.
Agreed, same here, and it also sounds a bit like the "Raindrop" Prelude by Chopin as well in the first minute. One can clearly hear the inspiration here.
Thanks, Griffin -- copy/pasting URL links from IMSLP have issues on CZcams. As I post links to IMSLP sheet music frequently I found a way around this was to remake the IMSLP URL with Google URL Shortener. That works, but Google are stopping this service. As the score is public domain I've put it on my Google Drive and changed the link in the info. Thanks for pointing out the issue and greetings from Thailand.
Paul, beautifully played. Where is the link for the free sheet music? (Would love to compare to what I have) Thank you for sharing your talent and the music!
This is obviously slightly slower than I remember.... But that's OK.... It was the very 1st 'Classical piece I ever learn't & played, when I was about 12 y/o or something, on an old Pedal Organ... Evidently at the time, when written/performed, 'Critics' of the time said... "It's ok for simple after dinner music, but doesn't compare to the greats!!"... Sigh... Well those 'snobs' can go to hell. Now I play it on the Guitar too, 50 years later!!, and is one of the most beautiful tunes that I know... xoxox
The movie, "The Taste Of Everything " brought me here. The breath taking music was playing over the credits..

I agree. For me, just watching his fingers glide through the keys with such an ease makes me believe I can play anything!
I've never thought this piece can be played so well on piano, but this is really-really amazing. Bravo!
Beautiful. Thank you for those few minutes of peace and quiet in this crazy world of ours.

One of the best violinist around here, my friend, just performed Méditation in Bangkok just another day―how wonderful the music sung!

Oh Paul, that was lovely! I wonder how many play it at this tender tempo. I love this. Bravo.
Beautiful! Most violinists play this piece too fast. This was perfect. My favorite violin interpretation is Nadia Sonnenberg's.
Tears of deep emotion floods my eyes from my soul... a stunning interpretation! The musical transcription of this... one of the most beautiful pieces ever composed... was perfectly done!

Agreed, same here, and it also sounds a bit like the "Raindrop" Prelude by Chopin as well in the first minute. One can clearly hear the inspiration here.
Same! The first few seconds sounded so similiar.
Beautifully played! Unfortunately the link to sheet music does not work.

Hello! How do you learn pieces? You know so many of them. It's so hard for me to learn even one.
Martha Sviniard that can take a few years to sight read on stage. Sight reading is almost like learning a new language.
❤️Beautiful ❤️ I think I could play this one! It’s slow enough for me! 😅🎈🌹
What's the time signature for this piece?

Easier on the piano than on the violin.
probably equal in difficulty
Very well played. To me this piece seems a bit predictable and boring but I can see how it would appeal to a lot of people.
Beautiful
Tempo too slow!
