were you using a toughened rod? cause thats the only rod it works with. But the game hasn't been updated since I made this video, so the method should still work
@@wynnter6834i think i was unlucky because I used a Gilded Luck 4 Elixir twice and got 1 legendary the entire time. (I used a Toughened Bronze Rod as well.) However, the fishing in the game is also weird and it didn't let me reel in a fish even though one appeared, or it'd lag while I was reeling in the fish and it would cancel my reeling process, I think most of those are just game issues for me and I could've gotten more if the game's fishing mechanic wasn't so.... ugh.
1:51 All giant fish are guaranteed to be massive given that you have luck IV and toughened enchant on your bronze rod. Does this mean that legendary golden fish are partly guaranteed if one has luck IV and graced enchant on their bronze rod?
@@catboyalvie luck scales are very easy to get as long as you got some really expensive useless stuff on you or- buy it from new players (this sounds devious but give them a fair bargain and they accept with no hesitation)
silver cauldrons might work, but you'll have around 7 less minutes of total luck meaning you might make a lot less profit. I have only used golden cauldrons myself so I can't really say.
The only explanation I can think of for that is that on the wiki the range of the dark sea that gives insanity 1 is called the 2nd range, while the area that gives no insanity is called the 1st range
That's not true, if you let a legendary fish rot you get 2 legendary scales instead of the 1 you get from cooking it. You can test it out yourself on golden fish since they do the same thing.
Me and a friend did this together, for around 15 minutes (we both got 15 minutes worth of luck 4, using toughened bronze rod, in insanity one) but got no legendary fish. Any suggestible reason?

@@malimi6727 it doesn't have any effect, technically the odds should be the same, but only using a normal pot will severely limit the amount of profit you'll make. brewing the luck four pots in a golden pot will give 37.5 minutes of luck per pot, or an hour and 15 minutes of luck 4 per five legendary scales, which should basically guarantee profit. if you can't find any golden pots, silver pots should do just fine and you should still make profit, just not as much. Not getting a single legendary fish from two luck four brews is honestly just really unlucky, and I don't really know what to say about it lol.
nvm, i tried this with 3 luck I potions and found 3 massive fish in 30 mins if i get 6 southern cod in a row again im gonna delete my save i was in insanity I and using a toughened bronze rod too
yeah, no. that would be a little op lol. Luck 4 is required to guarantee a modified fish with every catch, and the golden and massive modifiers both raise a fish's rarity by two stages, making fish that would normally be rare legendary instead.

i did the same with toughened bronze and I only made 1 each hour when ppl were getting 7/8. Must just be luck but it works for other ppl
