- 'Love Notes' is my first LGBT short film, where we follow high schooler, Violet, as she falls in love for the first time with an anonymous peer.
Hi friends! Let's pretend this isn't the worst thing i've ever made ok ok thank u. This film was made for my IB Personal Project for school! Eek! Yeah yeah yeah. Anyways! I made this because I am very passionate about equality and inclusiveness of all people, no matter their sexuality, race - anything❤️We are all equally deserving of happiness, love and acceptance. I hope this film alludes to my belief that we fall in love with people for who they are, and there are no boundaries or restrictions on love and you shouldn't ever hide or be ashamed of your feelings. I hope someone can relate to this film, or at least brighten up their day. You are not alone. You are loved, and you are valid.
Don't to get to watch in HD to make the experience less terrible, and yeah, I hope you enjoy!

I was literally in a discord call with someone while watching these, we were looking for a couple of LGBT short films. I came across this and was said to my friend.. "This isn't even an LGBT Short Film." right before it got to the part where it was the female instead of the male. I like this, very creative, impressive acting and a well-directed film. I am proud of the effort that was put into this!

I've been out as bisexual for about 3 years now. That's insane. I'm 14, I came out to myself at 11 and to the people around me at 12. I know I'm young, but I know this is who I am. Videos like this make me feel so proud to be part of this community.

I read the book and yeah it does have those vibes. For example her thinking the person she is texting is a boy is like Simon thinking the person he is e-mailing is a guy from the theather club
for those who dont get it: as the girl texts 'bored' she imagines what they will look like. since she is biased to being straight, she only imagines the person as a boy. When they meet up, she doesn't know how to feel that they are really girl. That is also why the person didn't want to meet up, because they were afraid that she would see it's a girl, and not want to be with her.

I love this a lot. It portrays heteronormativity in such a real way. I love that Tiered had a moment of panic when she found Bored was a girl. It's a very real response and I'm glad you took the route of her excepting Bored for her real self. This was an amazing film, great job.

Oh my goshhhh, I absolutely love this. The fact that she was imagining different kinds of people to fill in the question of who she was talking to, and the fact that it was the person she least expects to be, made it so beautiful!!! The acting is also amazing, they act so naturally, I love how in the ending there was an awkward silence where 'bored' feared that she would be rejected but instead 'tired' was just a little confused, but was happy.
Overall this is a a masterpiece ^^

Great job, I have to say. The mounting expectations, the different boys of the imagination. I've been young once and I've had penpals that became girlfriends, and I still remember the excitement before the first "real life" encounter. OK, when I was young, you had to wait weeks for a message, not minutes, but still, the excitement is the same. Great work with the filming, as well. Keep up the good work, you're on your way!

So I spent 28 years as the husband in a very happy, very conventional marriage, and now, at age 63, I am in a life-partnership with another transgender woman. It turns out that, at least for me, the two relationships feel identical. I think maybe love exists for it's own sake, and gender is less important than most people make it out to be. Thank you for making this film, I loved the brief scene where Violet is cuddling with her cat while trying to text someone on her phone! I've lived with cats for much of my life, and that's what they do: always trying to distract you from whatever work you are trying to get done, and I love them for it.
