Please continue making more videos on how to make regalia. Your videos are the only videos on CZcams that have helped me make my fan and my roach!
I Love The Wandering Bull!, I know the owners of the business and try to stop by whenever I visit New Hampshire. The Wandering Bull also sells a tool where you can cut your own lace among other things
Thank you so much, that turned out amazing 👏 ❤️
Very nice! ❤
HI, thanks for making these types of videos. I learned a lot and am still learning as i slowly make regalia for my nephew. 👍🙏
Thank you for sharing part of you for us to watch and appreciate.
Wow!! That looks great. Thank you for sharing so much.
Excellent job, well done
Omg absolutely loved it
Great video!! I did mine (1st one I’ve made) much the same. The only recommendation I have as a grassdancer, make sure the ties on the spreader are independent of one another. Mine are also one long chord, however this was sliding across the holes, and my head while dancing. Obviously, very uncomfortable. Us two different chords/strings/strands to tie each (one tie on top of head and one one near the base of head for neck). Altogether, 4 strings for two ties.
Beautiful
Great video.
I love these vlogs they are also really helpful thank you! Also maybe sometime you can show how to make a head harness.
Tysm...I enjoyed it n u thought me how. Love u
Thanks!
😊
How do you put spinners or antennas on it???
your son could use imitation eagle feathers until he gets gifted real featehrs
How native enough does one have to be to wear regalia? My DNA only shows 1% but I have traced my ancestry back to Choctaw, Cheraw, Lumbee and Powhatan.
Atleast 50%
There's also a big cultural factor. The indigenous people you see in regalia didn't just wake up one day, take a DNA test and then decide to wear regalia. These traditions and practices were passed down generations and generations and has been our culture throughout our lives. Respectfully, if you're 1% and just now finding out about the culture, you probably shouldn't wear regalia. But no one can stop you I suppose
Make friends with an experienced respected dancer. Ask them to teach you all the ways and formally bring you out onto the dance floor. There is a ceremonial protocol for this if you wish to follow traditional ways. If a respected dancer brings you into the circle through traditional protocol then you will be okay. You will have to commit to the process. Not easy but very worth the effort for the blessings waiting in the circle.
