I think the developers are very intentionally curbing power creep and are providing commanders that fulfill niche specific roles rather than being overall powerhouses. What do you think? Drop a comment!

I think that, if Huo, Nevski and Joan don't hang into the open field meta until the next release, it's probably gonna be a disaster for the game. Maybe next inf and archers will counter one another, because if I were the devs, I wouldn't make something new that counters vcavalry
Agreed! Power creep has left too many players with unsatisfying investments in commanders that aren’t meta. Glad to see them slowing down commander power and building out niche roles.
They are just making all unity balanced. Ppl complain instead of using the materials, troops and sculptures on other commanders of other unit type.
I think thats a great thing, it will lead to more strategic choice for different scenarios. Youll see a wider range of commanders used and it will (IF DONE CORRECTLY) make gameplay feel so much more rewarding and engaging, for example knowing you made the right commander choice in a changing open field situation and thats why you won or achieved a certain result.
I dont think this garrison is awful though, skill 4 will give (assuming max buff) +35% all damage. This skill 4 is also going to be triggered by the skill 3, and the same is true for heras skill 3 so theres some synergy there. Its really hard to know until its tested though.

The devs used to release Infantry, Cavs, Archers and Leadership commanders. Now they added a new category to the cycle: Osiris League commanders 😂
looks like they heard everyone complaining about power creep so the Devs said hold my beer.
But they waited until after Archers and Inf got broken commanders...

Huo and Justinian weren't broken. I would say Scipio, Gorgo, Liu Che, Zhuge, Boudica, Arshur, and Hermann are all better than the last 4 cavs. Hell even Nev Joan is way behind those marches now.
Strange too see so much negativity ,really think the slow down of the pure stats rising really needed it keeps older comanders also longer relevant......

Sargon and Tariq wasn't even close to this bad. Tariq was meta and is still usable. Eleanor is already outside of meta and is just bad

This commander would excel as a Obelisk defender in Osiris.
Because she buffs swarmers of opposing rally, and she is a cavalry commander she can hop on any cav to your obelisk and defend immediately.

My impression at this point with the new commanders releasing right before Osiris league starts, they want to shake up the Osiris meta for a more interesting season. End of story.
Even in the small kingdoms they still swarm flags and forts. They have 3-4 full max tech people each and they swarm. It’s like that everywhere
hi chisgule I go by fesh77 in kd1288. Do you think the possibility of using new beli lead to lapulapu as a counter rally march. I think some of the active skills might actually work well together.
These recent commanders coming out that arent the new absolute meta is so relieving to hear. Ive just now gotten to the point where i have 1 meta march and 1 semi meta march (Scip/LC and Boudica/ZL) so now i can finally save some sculptures to improve my current marches rather than benching them altogether.
Boudica is meta, all these CZcamsrs are saying there’s only few meta commanders, saying not to invest in Nevsky. At that point how will you fill all your 5-7 marches? Do what you feel bro.

Hey Chisgule, this is an Archer question: is Hermann expertise suppose to work like Joan’s 4th skill?
So when it reaches 25 stacks wouldn’t that show up in the Battle Log for his “Give Me Back My Legions” skill?
Because I have never seen it in Battle Logs or does it show up in reports in a different way?
So with beli prime and the new garrison being bad, does this mean I can max another cav com? Like Nevsky? Or should I wait for testing

What was stopping smaller kds from using gorgo?
I think it will be used only if you have field to swarm antiswarm rallies, less counter attack and buff nearby allies so basically she is counting on others to take down the rallies
Maybe that's why they are improving Charles Martel.. the guy has 50% attack and 10% hp in his museum.. attack buffs counterattack as well and Charles also buffs counterattack itself.. so Charles have a ton of counter attack and hp..
How would you feel if they just removed the word skill dmg on the first ability and replace with all dmg?
Doesn't make the cut, her stats are really LOW !!! 20 atk and 15 def is very low, also 10 percent to deal skill damage again every10 sec is also really low, joan prime is better than her lol
Could they be making commanders that pair with another commander of another troop type using the Artifact in SoS or Tides? Her kit kinda benefits Gorgo by reducing skill damage and boosting all damage.

pair her with nevsky and swarm the rally with bunch of justinian + bela ps. thats the only synergy with the 25% alld dmg bonus i can think of.
but the scenario is kinda off bcs if u have the field, they porb arent ralliing anyways

Maybe no power creep for awhile?😮 but the 3th skill is interesting does that mean it will activate the active skill against the target or against the one that activate it? The 4th skill just invites counter rallies. Most likely it gonna pair with heraclius 😅 But not that impressed yet😅

You didnt mention the last thing that could be it: skills are worded incorrectly. Wording is so weird and awkward on this commander. Im just not sure if their initial translation to english was bad. Its happened before.

What about theodora or yss as primary for synergy? Theo dispels control effects and has aoe, and also hits like a hammer at the start of the battle. Yss has aoe, and hits like a hammer when the garrison is inevitably below a certain percentage
Theo is extremely far from meta
@Chisgule agreed, but this commander is also extremely far from meta, but in kvk S3, it's probably passable. Like you noted, this is likely a smaller kd garrison, and I think this is the wheel commander for f2p garrisoning
If you dont go for the new Garrison Commander now, would you rather go for Jan Ziska or Gorgo or maybe even Zenobia to pair with Hera?

she has a 10% chance to trigger the active skill every 10 sec, so that might be interesting. That together with the 4th skill is made for ark.
She has a defense talent tree and all she does is deal damage. Odd choice ngl

I also heard that MAD PHANTOM make a deal with Lilith for give some extra buff to Belisarius prime since he's buff are not stronger enough for beat existed archer and infantry commanders

A total pass for this cycle for cav commanders. Nevsky huo and Joan have to hold on til the next cycle. Sadly because of Attila Cavs will never get a smite commander. Joan is the safest cav commander to invest in because of her AOE.
I'll still defend Beli Prime as being a good option. But this garrison.....I dont know if I can defend this one. 😢
This garrison needed the powercreep and the devs didn’t give it. People have been using Jan for decades

They should've made it all damage for the expertise. I can see where it COULD have been useful. It would have been the meta garrison rally for Storm of Stratagems and Warriors Unbound for a longggggggggggg time being able to do cav garrison with Eleanor/Gorgo or infantry garrison with Gorgo/Eleanor.
Counter power creep , meta between all troop types are balanced atm I’d say

I think the expertise would say "...less damage from" if it was meant to be applied to the current target. Since "from" is omitted, I believe it applies to all enemies hitting it.

I get the power creep issue but the real issue with cavalry is that it's only "relevant" pair atm is Jan/Hera so a cavalry commander and a leadership commander, cavalry could have really used another relevant cav commander to be paired with Jan
A versatile Garrison for Cavs would have been good. Cavs just didnt need another field meta
The best pair will be Hannibal Barca trust

Jus create good equipment and have great armaments along with great crystal tech. Cannot expect every new commander to be broken.

Only thing I’ll say is Cavs needed a versatile Cav Garrison that can be in the field like Gorgo & Ashur are versatile. They just have Jan who really isn’t that amazing open field
Pure Garrison/Rally commanders ignore the fact sometimes players have to get to these destinations
Epitome of a glass cannon. All attack and damage, almost no defense or health. So unfortunate that they wasted such an influential and powerful historical figure.

The difference between meta and off-meta can be massive. Imperium kingdoms have to play the meta, or they lose to the meta
This cav and leadership/siege cycle has been a good break from meta stuff. I'll have 700 GHs by the time new INF comes lol

I thought it would be AOE 2600 damage.
AOE commanders deal less damage normally, Scipio deals 2000 aoe and then the expertise enhances it compared to Boudica. 2600 AOE is siege commander bro 😂
Maybe they just dont want cav being tje garrison
