I tried with oil in press but my chapati in middle was thick than at sides. Any tips? Should the dough be soft?

I had the same issue but with a diff brand. The puris came out very nice. I made the balls small and applied oil. Easy lifting. But when I made large balls for roti, it stuck. I think we need to make them small. Or make the dough very tight, make average size dough balls, and apply oil generously to lift. Do not make the dough soft. I made it soft and it stuck too much. If there is still an issue, just follow her method and use butter paper. Will work definitely. The press will also stay clean.
