Hi there, lovely sew along. I think I would find it easier to sew the cuff to the gathered edge flat before sewing the underarm seam, then sewing that seam and the cuff in one long seam. Then all to be done is to turn up the cuff inside to sew around . Let me know if you try it. 😉
That’s a great idea, I’ll certainly give that a go on my next one , thank you 😊
Another great sew along Andrea. I’m a visual learner and your instructions are so clear and easy. And I need some of that fabric in my life. Its gorgeous ❤❤❤
Dear Angela, I would like to thank you sincerely for introducing me to Atelier Jupe patterns and to the Emma blouse. Your tutorial made all the difference to my "make" and Ive had success where I did not think possible. Im ready to make more, thanks to your fabulous, clear instructions. The "gathering technique" you used I also tried and although Im not perfect, Im definitely much better using your method - huge thank you! Gathering is not my favourite thing:-)). I really love your style, your channel and your tutorials and of course your fabulous shop. xx
Thank you very much for taking the time to write such a lovely comment. I am so pleased that my tutorial was helpful to you . Emma is a fabulous blouse , I really enjoyed making it . 💕
@@Beyondthepinkdoor It is I who thank you, Andrea (so sorry I spelled your name incorrectly!!!!) xx
Great sew along! It was good to watch you sew the tucks. Yes to block fusing! It’s a game changer. This is such a pretty blouse. I just love a feminine blouse. Funny, kitties and pups seem to be alike in Ireland and here in the US! My kitty is always right there, helping and/or wanting pets. And my dog is never happy, in, out, in out. I appreciate a sew along might take up some of your time, but it really does help and encourage. Take care!
I’m glad you enjoyed it Amie, I thoroughly enjoyed my day doing this. We’re very lucky to have our ‘helpers’ arent we. I talk to them all day , bless them. They’re my support animals 😊
Andrea, what a great sew-along, your choice of fabrics never disapoint🙌🏾😍
Really appreciated this sew-along! Didn't find the instructions included with the pattern all that helpful, so this is brilliant x
Thank you, Andrea, for yet another very detailed and super instructional video. I love the calm way you explain all the techniques in. Extremely inspirational! 😍

Loved the sew along Andrea I was a bit worried about doing the pin tucks brilliant. I also learned about the seam allowance I was scratching my head I wondered what those faint lines were! 😂 Fabric is washed 🤞 Thank you you’re a 🤩🤩😍
Thank you Maria, the tucks are quite therapeutic when you get into them . Glad I solved the seam allowance puzzle for you . Can’t wait to see your Emma ❤x
Thank you so much for this sewalong. Bought the pattern as soon as I saw your version. I barely used the instructions ..didnt need to with your detailed guidance! Have since bought the fabric from you you are sewing with here. Top number 2 coming soon.. but first to the Frida blouse 🥰 xx

Thanks so much Andrea. Great sew a long. I received the Emma Emma pattern for Christmas and I plan to make it up in an Atelier Brunette fabric.
Great video. Lovely blouse. I will probably lengthen the sleeve a bit and adapt to use the Remy tiny cuff/ binding which I find really comfortable . Thanks for doing this

Thank you very much LorraIne. It is quite similar to the Marnie but with less frills & extras . Delighted you enjoyed my sewalong x

Thank you for watching Janet. I’m delighted you enjoyed it
Loved the sew along. What a lovely pattern and beautiful fabric, just love those colours .
Hi Andrea, I have made Emma already but enjoyed watching your sew along. I love this pattern and have plans for another version- will slip-stitch collar & cuffs, I love how looks like without topstitching ❤ you made yourself beautiful top x😊
Hi Ewa, thanks so much for watching .. yes I really like the untopstitched finish x
Oh have a missed your sewalongs. Loving this one. I also use a needle and thread. I love how you leave on the needle though. I’ve just usually managed by pulling on the loose ends. Am definitely going to try your way now. Your Emma looks great on you. It’s possible I’m hooked, lol. Thanks Andrea x
Thanks for sharing. I want to try this pattern.
I love it ❤
Brilliant sew along! Thank you so much, really enjoy watching your sew alongs!!

Thank you very much Jean . I love how it turned out . I can imagine I’ll get lots of wear from it ❤
I have just finished my Emma blouse and so pleased with it. I followed your sew along and found it so helpful. Thanks very much Andrea - really appreciated. x
@@annbakewell1323 you’re very welcome ❤️
Thanks of taking the time to share another sew along Andrea, your blouse looks great. I love your iron, are you happy with it?
Great sewalong Andrea! Loved the finished blouse 😍😍 just an idea but if you make a couple of scrunchies in matching fabric to the one you’re wearing, you can use them as arm bands and keep the sleeves up out the way xx
What a great idea Lynne , thank you ❤
Brilliant Andrea, thanks for this, you explain everything so well x
Thank you Angie x
Thank you Andrea! I learned so much watching you. ❤️
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.❣
Love that fabric you used!
Brilliant sew along. I am not a fan of gathering but you made it looking very fun.
Thank you for the tutorial I have just sent for the pattern. Any adjustments you make I have to do the same as we are the same size. X
Beautiful blouse. The only thing I don’t like is the stitching showing so obvious on the pleated front. It’s a pity each line wasn’t covered by the one above. That said, it’s a gorgeous top and the fabric is so colourful. As ever, you do a wonderful job.
Thank you for sharing this make love this pattern ,I am just like you have to do forward shoulder and narrow shoulder adjustments ,would be like to see how you do your alterations ,can I also ask if you use a walking foot ? apologies if it’s not the right place to ask .
My pfaff has a built in walking foot called an IDT system . I use it everytime I sew. It is brilliant . Delighted you enjoyed the sewalong
Andrea before I watch on! Your iron! Where is that from?
Yes, the iron was fascinating. Never seen one like that before!
@@valeriecorke7973 seen them on American videos. Need to know!
Hi Jan it’s the Oliso iron. I’d seen them on lots of CZcams videos and had to get one . It’s so clever
Thanks
You’re most welcome Liz 😊
Hi Andrea this sew-a-long is very helpful thanks. I’m thinking of making an Emma Davenport mashup using your beautiful new Liberty paisley. Can I ask how much material you think I might need? I want to use the Davenport waist channel and I might lengthen the first tier and leave off the bottom tier…
Just finished my Emma blouse with your sewalong - it was such a great help, thank you! I used the spray starch which definitey made the tucks easier. I'd love to know how you made it into a dress? Did you just lengthen the front and back pieces?
Yes I just lengthened the front & back . I have made a few Lynne caftans from atelier Jupe and used that pattern as a guide . I love how it turned out
Hi Andrea which method do you use for your narrow shoulder adjustment please I think I'm in need of one on the Emma x
I use the Andrea method . 😊. I literally measure in along the shoulder to the amount I want to narrow it by and then grade that amount down into the armhole .
🇨🇦😃
