- Just wanted to share my thoughts on ABI in general. The game isn't bad but so unoriginal I don't think its worthy of high praise. It seems that more people like it more so to hate on BSG and Tarkov. It's good that EFT has competition and frankly ABI does quite a few things better than Tarkov. But, the game itself is very unaspiring and won't be playing it nor making much content of it.

Also Onepeg did a good video where he showed 3 independent 3D modelers who all say its stolen.

You are wrong... The QOL improvements alone bring Tarkov to its knees. In addition, performance is miles better and accessibility while playing with friends is just in another league. Tarkov has been the same for 10 years, with every update just making the game even more cumbersome and clunky. Scummy DEVS are getting what they deserve... Someone took their "original" idea and made it better.

It does actually. Given that they are almost as good as EFT having had the chance to invest entirely into execution. To date it has benefitted from EFT tries-and-fails. There is no unique roadmap or experiments. The fact that its not immediately better paints a pretty dark picture for what it will be like when they have to actually drive the game somewhere.

also, a big thing to remember as a big streamer, is that most people arent on top of the line PCs.
ABI runs really damn well, for the average gamer PC. That alone gives me 0 reason to ever log back into Tarkov apart from maybe some wipe hype.

@@danie8595 "perfectly fine" I have an RTX 3080 with an i9 and get 60-70 fps average on Streets of Tarkov on low-medium settings. Even less than that when I scope in, dips to the 40s. I get 200-240 fps average on Arena Breakout. I'd say for a high end GPU on low-medium settings that Tarkov runs horribly.
The most strange thing they copied... Is atrocious recoil
I actually like the recoil in ABI because they have more attachments and it causes the whole range of attachments to be more viable. Wanna go cheaper and still make a noticable difference, but not laser beam? buy this cheaper grip. Want to laser beam? spend 50k on this one. Idk, maybe its just from all the early years of Tarkov and I am just used to it, but I enjoy ABIs recoil and don't think its too much. It is still controllable no matter what, but attachments have a high value in efficiency.
ABI kinda looks like tarkov, but with better lighting, QOL features and somewhat better optimization.
Dont get me wrong, it is a copy, but would you give more marks to the kid who got his homework answers wrong or the kid who copied the kid with the wrong answers and at least tried to fix most of the problems the wrong kid had.

There were no way you can just copy the code and translate it to used it for the new engine. It will be full of bugs and glitches.

As a consumer, I’m going to play whatever the better game is. I have trouble thinking of anything that Tarkov does BETTER than ABI. Meanwhile I can’t spit off 10 things off the top of my head that ABI does better than Tarkov.

One thing I learned about Klean is he takes pride in his indie fps consulting and is loyal to his partners, including Nikita. Unfortunately, because of this he’s biased af. Like #1 BSG fan. He’s the only streamer I see who doesn’t realize the extraction shooter genre NEEDS this competition due to its untapped potential. Many games try and fail. ABI is the FIRST real competitor and BSG is shaking. They’re not gonna sue for ripped assets bc Tencent will probably counter sue and win. I see Landmark is having the best time in this game and admits it has the potential to take over. Objectively, it’s true. What if they upgrade to UE5 in the near future like GZW? What if they take it to console? What if their anticheat is better? I loved Tarkov, but this was bound to happen regardless of their recent bs. ABI just has more potential and now, momentum. What yal think?

I completely agree, dude. People are acting like this wouldn't have happened without the Tarkov drama. The Tarkov drama just accelerated the exodus of players & pushed them towards this game and GZW. Best believe that, if GZW was further along, even more players would be ditching Tarkov. If ABI was fully released right now, I think a LOT of players would be in there. Not every Tarkov player will like ABI. But, one thing's for sure, it's going to bring in a lot more players that haven't even tried Tarkov. The F2P audience is MASSIVE these days. Look at what Fortnite became off of the PUBG hype.

There is so much content in the mobile version to port over. Plus the devs are chinese and prob work 18 hours a day. They could make a map in a week lmao.

I have owned EFT since 2018. I still play it from time to time, but don’t have all the time in the world to grind it. ABI Is the alternative where I don’t need all the time in the world. Plus, I have to admit, The quality of life features the game already has surpasses what Tarkov has done so far.
They should be praised for making BSG spaghetti code actually optimized and run better than tarkov could ever be. 🤷🏻♂️

there's no evidence that they're using anything other than 3d models, shaders, and audio files from BSG. Probably none of the spaghetti code was what they copied if they made their own AI behavior, netcode, audio, etc
@@hiiambarney4489 You're exaggerating it, UE 4 and Unity are pretty on par when it comes to possibilities. Rust is made on Unity for example and has a big online, open world with all kinds of activities. It's just a matter of having competent coders which BSG clearly seems to lack.

While I agree the assets in the game do look very similar we need to remember these are just rumours and not 100% fact as of right now and we should treat them as such. In regards to the sharpen effect I think you are just way off on this one. Tarkov does not own the sharpen mechanic and it's hilarious to think so. Any game can use it as they see fit. Games borrow ideas from each other especially in an emerging market, this will happen more and more just like what we saw in the Battle Royale bubble.
I understand you may think this game is worse than Tarkov, however, others do not. While I agree Tarkov is more 'higher quality' than ABI in some regards, it requires much more time from the player. For anyone else who isn't unemployed/content creator ABI offers much more accessibility. I can spend a couple hours in Tarkov and 80% of that is menus and loading screens. I would much rather sacrifice quality if it means a much more engaging and fun to play game.
Tarkov has recently scammed it's audience and introduced P2W features after years of promises. Does it deserve my good will at the moment? I don't think so. I have stopped playing Tarkov and will no longer support the company. However, you seem to feel the opposite. As every week you still stream Tarkov to thousands of people. While you may claim that you're playing SPTarkov and not the 'official' Tarkov, you are still driving your audience towards purchasing the game to allow them to even play SPTarkov, in return directly benefitting Battlestate Games.
Funnily enough this game has actually been a good thing for Tarkov as it has required Battlestate games to be more vocal and communicate much better with their community. We have already seen Nikita more on Twitter and in the community in the last week than we have all year. If Nikita had this much energy and communication maybe they would have faired much better than they have. Who knew, all it took was a Chinese mobile developer to scare Battlestate games to maybe get their act together.
Is it my responsibility as a consumer to boycott a company if it is believed to have stolen another company's assets? Especially if the new company expands on the stolen assets to include them in a way I find more engaging and enjoyable? Should I be forced to derive myself of entertainment on behalf of a company who is currently acting egregiously towards it's customers who have supported it for years?
ABI is free-to-play and has asked nothing of me monetarily. For now, I can see which I would rather support regardless of the authenticity of the rumours going around.
You could not have written this any better and as an EOD holder since the beginning I completely agree. I feel like most of these Tarkov streamers are realizing their game just wont be at the height as it once was and rather than defending a bullshit studio like BSG they should be jumping ship to the new title forcing BSG to make smart decisions and bring their player base back. Been playing ABI for a couple days and ofc it has a lot of work to be done such as basic graphic changes, the market, spawn fixing, more interesting tasks but im sure within a year or two this game will surpass tarkov. I spend less time finding what dumb fucking barrel fits in my gun and instead am actually in raid playing the game, the gunplay is just as fun but without the same amount of rage when I die as I know I can get back in quicker. I do believe the Tarkov maps are leaps and bounds better tho.

@@fubarexress6359 proof? Stalkers animations are literally wooden. BSG Hasn't used any assets I've played all Stalker games, and I've been playing eft from 2017 up until now
@@kleanisklean BSG literally stole the assets from real companies several times in the past. There's a few examples of in game items that were renamed/edited after the real company found out and issued a cease letter. Most of them are lost to mods deleting threads these days but you can still see a couple examples.
One of the examples that are still up is the Primary Arms 2.5. It was changed after the company learned they were being used illegally by BSG. The whole eft player community at the time defended this stolen asset because it meant 'free advertising' for the company, completely ignoring that it was stealing and they never were informed of it.
Well deserved for BSG. Honestly I wouldn't waste a single breath defending a known stealing/scamming company such as BSG from being stolen and scammed. It's all as it should be in my book.

@@kamchatka3601 Oh I wasn't talking anything about Tracing maps, I'm talking about Inspirations, Gameplay and Genre. Not the Tracing maps specifically, Tarkov is more Inspired from Stalker while both CSGO and League has the same Map Layouts as the same games in their Genre like Valorant and DOTA.
I also wasn't replying to you I believe, I was just commenting on the Original post hence I don't know anything about Lost Light just Tracing maps form Tarkov whether that's proven or not nor do I care about Lost Light ever since they introduced Respawning in a Raid.

EFT is great but i feel like ABI might be harder.. You get tons more fights and you are not fighting crappy fps like in EFT(even with a 4090).. The alligations Nikita are making are getting debunked pretty much instantly. Its Tencent and they are 100% covered... They for sure copied a bunch of stuff but they are covered when it comes to copyright. Im at around 6k hours on EFT and tbh ive had more fun in ABI the last week than EFT the last year..

At the end of the day Arena Breakout is streamlined free Tarkov thats accessible to a *much* bigger playerbase. The consumer is the WINNER no matter how this turns out.
Also do not forgot how BSG themselves are violating consumer laws worldwide with their non-existing refunds, their DMCA youtube carnage some years ago, and their newest Unheard of Edition debacle. Of couse AB stole a buncha shit, but thats BSGs problem.

Tarkov and breakout are really different game. The fps in breakout is way better, the visibility is better, when i shoot at someone it register, there's audio so i can actually hear people, there's no desync,etc,etc.
Looks like they ripped animation assets from the Stalker Gunslinger mods as well with that TOZ shot gun footage you have at the ending.

I frankly don't care about any asset stealing drama, for your average player this is completely irrelevant, so let them figure it out. Otherwise yes free casual tarkov clone which is a ripoff but fills a niche of the market that was unexplored. There was no multiplayer game that was like tarkov but more casual, and if they can monetize it properly it'll succeed.
Nikita and BSG set a really low bar for community feedback and shitty practices so I'm optimistic about this new game. Even if it flops it shows how other companies can jump in this genre.

Klean, I just want to say that I'm the guy that liked the sharpening effect on painkillers, I know it was bad for streaming because of the bitrate and that tons of people didn't like it. I think it was original as it simulated the itching, tingling or prickling effect you can feel on your skin when a body parts falls sleep because of the painkiller (I'm spanish so I don't know if I explained that well).
Anyways, immersion wise and due to quality for me tarkov is far beyond this game. Big shame last things that happened with BSG.
thing is though tarkov has been in beta 8 whole years. and ABI is just now in beta with vast QOL changes that tarkov could never dream of adding because of BSGS incompetence. I think with time ABI has the potential to do far more then tarkov ever could. though ABI misses a vibe that only tarkov can give. both great in their own rights. but the deciding factor for me is which devs care more about their game/community. so far it seems ABI is doing that.

Before you get mad, you need to understand that this game’s been around for long time in the mobile scene. This game is not copying Tarkov . It’s been around for quite some time.
For me, I don't care whether they steal or not. It's a thing for BSG and ABI to clear out. I'm just a gamer: I want to have a good time in the end. Generally, I like Tarkov more, but I enjoy the qol and other solutions ABI has introduced. In the end, I just hope that BSG will finally feel some pressure in order to make Tarkov even better.

Based on what I've seen from the mobile game (admittedly not much), what we're seeing right now is something that's closer to Tarkov. As they rollout more content closer to what's in the mobile game, it'll start to look much more like its own thing. But, we'll see.

Thats really the biggest thing and as Klean said I think people are too wrapped up in sticking it to BSG to notice or care. The extraction shooter genre is so fresh and there's still so much you can do with it, yet this studio decided to just make something so blatantly derivative of Tarkov (I don't know how anyone can argue against this with a straight face, regardless of if you like the game or not) and they're getting a ton of praise for it. Just really rubs me the wrong way, I want to see more interesting takes on the genre.
The key takeway here is the standard to make a successful extraction shooter was incredibly low, like embarrassingly low, and it seems like ABI was the only one that recognized that. They gave the people what they wanted, fair play to them.
As a consumer I only really care if it's more fun, and this looks more fun and accessible

How much have you played tarkov?And how much have you played arena break out? I've played 7k hours of tarkov. And 100 of ABO.
They iterated significantly on all critical shit. And tbh they do it better than tarkov does on nearly everything. I could write 20 paragraphs on the differences between the two games. I even pulled both games up and did a side by side. Anyone who says it's a "copy paste" is just lazily repeating talking points.
Also, something.People are either completely unaware of or intentionally leaving out is how much bsg took from stalker. Its SIGNIFICANT. Everything from graphical style, UI, combat, gunplay, healing animations and even in game lootable items.
But tark iterated on the stalker formula and made it something new. Just like abo.
Also something people don't realize.There is multiple different game modes that are unique to abo that aren't available right now that further differentiate the game from tarkov.
At the end of the day , tark doesn't own extraction shooters, they don't own a particular graphic style, they don't own rights to the ak47 wooden hand grip. Only reason bsg is pissed is because someone came along and did it better then them and learned from all of BSGs mistakes. It's vastly more accessible to new to the genre players and also people with lives who don't have 100s of hours a month to progress.

You know, Klean...if one of my friends gets his bike stolen, I feel sad for him. He was always a nice and trusty guy that I could rely on, so he really did not deserve to get his bike stolen. But if that local bully who tried to scam me gets his Bike stolen, I just feel Schadenfreude (the joy out of somebody else misery). And it's the same with BSG and this current situation.
They deserve to get some competition who not only copies the core formula and elements of EfT, but ACTUALLY improves those in a lot of ways with more stable servers, less queue time, tons of quality of life things and that is also free to play, because the straight up tried scamming their entire community that supported them for years and that got barely anything in return.
For years there was no communication from BSG. No QoL improvements, barely anything done against cheaters, etc. Suddenly, after the ABI Beta, Nikita does Twitter polls and listens to community feedback. A little competition will do wonders for BSG to finally get their lazy asses up, accepting that Tarkov Arena was a fail and actually work on improving Tarkov and all the issues it has....

You say the game is better, but bro its been 8 years and its still in "BETA". ABI comes out within 1 week and has almost every feature that Tarkov has and makes it better. Its not hardcore as Tarkov but i think 90 percent of the people out here dont have a NASA Gaming pc to play the game and especially the time to play it as well. The grind is way to long, the cheating problem has never been solved since day 1. Cheating is obviously ABI's top priority as they have been using their own Anticheat. Nikita going on interviews and straight lying to our faces, making empty promises. 8 years and still nothing. I dont see Nikita trying to sue Tenscent. Winning a legal battle with them would drain their pockets. I hope ABI takes this game and runs it up the Tarkovs developers asses and show them how to make a real game for real gamers and not for a bunch of fanboys that like sand paper games.

ABI feels like Tarkov but actually thought through. If nothing else it shows what tarkov could be if BSG was competent. It doesn't take 5-10 minutes to get into a raid, it takes around ONE minute.
The quest design is nothing special, but at least I'm not forced to use the wiki (idk if there is one even) for literally everything.
The performance is insane while not looking bad at all. Who thought a game like this DOESN'T have to run at 50 to maybe 100 FPS on a high end PC.
I can actually locate people by sound in this game - Tarkov can't do this after YEARS and YEARS.
They actually thought, hey, let's NOT implement horrid game design (invisible mines etc etc etc) and hide behind hArDcoRe and reALisM. Let's make an actual GAME.
To use your analogy, it's actually more like your friend copied your homework but they did so in actually legible handwriting and made everything more coherent and easier to understand. Sure maybe some complexity was lost, but the assignment was an adventure story anyways and not a contest on who uses the most convoluted word salad.

Sounds like BSG's problem tbh. Maybe their definition of stealing is different than BSGs, just like DLC is different from our own definition. To be fair, Tarkov also did the same thing to major companies when they stole their gun design, sound, ect. No reason to really care if someone does it to them.
