I know everyone is a fan of JDF, but from my understanding Austin St. John is as close as anyone can come to being a real Ranger.
He was the original leader for a reason. JDF was obviously more popular, but Jason was a class above all the others
I met ASJ once at Comic Con during 2018 I think
This skit reminds me of the SPD's "Samurai" episode when Jack kept asking for Doggie's Shadow Saber so he could fight the Japanese monster and he kept saying no he doesn't need it. When he finally gave in and Jack used it to fight the warrior Doggie revealed it was a fake sword
ASJ has a natural charisma. Which is very rare. That's why he will always stand out to me as a Red Ranger.
