THE BEST build video I've seen, ever. Short, concise instructions, no rambling about your day, great equipment and setup for success. The air duct idea is genius. I have PC fans as well, but I've never used a duct like that!
I saw your first video and was inspired to make a vivarium. It’s been running for a month and I have three poison dart frogs coming to inhabit it. I’ve seen on Reddit and other forums, dozens of people who have been inspired by your videos and want to make paludariums (with the shrimp and the crabs and everything). It’s become a kind of a meme; it’s known as “the video” (that got everyone into vivariums). Keep going! You’re super talented and I can’t wait to see what you make.
@@TheDrPlants my links aren’t going through. Just browse r/paludarium for a bit, I guarantee you’ll find someone asking how to cohab geckos and crabs in a paludarium.
@@Afeller Wow that’s amazing! I wish I could’ve found this sooner. This makes me interested in starting my own page. Do you know how I could go about doing that?
To all the people complaining about established titles consider the fact that this video was made a month ago and the sponsorship was most likely set even earlier. They had not been publicly exposed as of the release nor the 2 months put into making the paludarium itself. Take a few moments to look at upload times before freaking out over things.
So cool! If you are following along with this tutorial, make sure you research the plants you are planting, because some plants are poisonous to certain critters! :)
@@TheDrPlants hey, uh from your bedroom inclosure terrarium eh where did u get your mourning geckos!?! Im freaking out where did u get it, im in australia i need some way to get some
Production quality of both video and tank is through the roof! I just finished building a paludarium with your method last month with a Crocodile Skink, Fiddler Crabs, and rainbow shrimp, your videos have been a massive help!
Your efforts in your videos are so clearly seen that you put so much hard work into editing and also gathering many materials to make a very pleasant ecosystem in a tank.
man I just want to say thank you for explaning your pump/tube setup. I see it all the time, and it makes sense when I think about it, but it also doesent ya know? And when considering filter layouts for my own setup I'm always over thinking it, and you confirmed many of my suspicions about why for example you use the long tube. thanks!
I can't wait for the next video with the animals! Also, I'd love to see you continue updating / giving updates on your other tank. I'm so excited for this tank, and I love the whole ecosystem idea.
mr plant man, know how much people love you dude? you r literally amazing, i always plan my future and ever since youve gotten me into these things ive always wanted my house to be full of paludariums, terariums, etc, i currently own a bjnch of succulents and i really wanna make a little succulent terarium! its going to be the first one, and surely not the last one. mr plant, you are literally the best and you dont know how many people you make happy, have a good day, dude, sorry for this long comment btw i just had to say it lol
My dad had a 300 gal long tank an we did this for his dart frogs. Growing up we always had reptiles ect. At one time had had I think 20 dart frogs. It was really cool set up you did a very nice job on this tank.
A year ago i seen your video - now im building my own set up - tyvm, for the inspiration, motivation, an desire to make a small natural looking environment for my pets! Keep these awesome videos coming!
It is so calming to watch a piece of paradise materialize right before your eyes! I also find it fascinating how different people have little hints and tricks to make their vivariums work and live so well. I am excited to meet everyone who will call this special place home.
I can honestly say from my heart that, this has really inspired me. The amount of work and detail to capture and document this applaudable. Great work and thank you for the inspiration! ☺️
LordDrplants can we have a highly detailed video on plants. How they grow where they should be planted and how they look when fully grown. I was waiting since your first ever video but it never happened. Me lord
amazing new video! I used your last one as a guide line to build my first paladarium, but in a year or so Ill need to make another one around this size. Love the addition of the filter chamber and the air duct system. I've seen others do similar stuff, but it felt kinda daunting for my first time, but next time with this video Ill be ready.
Amazing video! My son and I looked at your paludarium with crab, and now we have already glued a 300-liter container ourselves. Collected most of the equipment. Planting soon. Can you add a list of plants? Or a little extra video showing the plants? Thank you! Good luck!
@@jamesmcgraw176 Of course, it will come out cheaper, but you need to study many nuances on your own, watch videos, ask on the forums. For example, a homemade lamp for 20,000 lumens, 98 cri with dimming cost me about $ 150. I like this process, you learn a lot of new things. And I also like gradual assembly, because. I can't afford to buy everything at once.
I love this, it's like the artistry of diorama mixed with the practically of animal care and material properties! Also a bit of interior design I guess!
These are so amazing, never knew about paludariums before but now I'm trying to learn more about them so I can some day make my own. Keep up the great work.
This looks insane! I love how you made the areas of the river and ground equal. I might try again to let my parents let me build a paludarium like this.
Im gonna be honest, i like your videos better than Sepra design's. You only say the necessary info, and your projects are beautiful. One thing i would like tho, is if you briefly showed the plants and told us the species/or when they are on camera the species name displays on screen. Keep up the good work :D
I personally think foam carving is always very important step. I was lazy about it when doing my first terrarium, and then i had plenty of trouble with silicone wearing off quickly in some spots during first months
I really enjoy watching these build videos, can't wait to see who gets to live in this set up. After this one I HAVE to create my own, looks absolutely wonderful Dr.
These are always so beautiful, and I admire your work and creativity. I would like to see more. I have a build in mind, or an idea for one. It would be similar to the Cannibal jungle, but have a waterfall built into the back and to be flowing into the river. Maybe frogs could reside there as well as Droseraceae. Wolf spiders would also be a nice addition. But like I said, very pretty and very inspiring💯
Excellent video my friend, definitely wanting to look at making one of these in the new year. I'll have to do a lot of research into available plants and critters here in Australia. Look forward to the next upload =)
Great tutorial video with an amazing result! Thanks for sharing your build process. Do you plan to provide an update on this ecosystem? I'm curious to see how it has evolved and what livestock you've added.
What an amazing project!! Congratulations and thanks for sharing us your art. I'm quite interested in the 3D printed lid. Could u please share how you did it?

Awesome job with this setup! really professional and I see the things you've improved upon from your last setup. Are you able to do a few videos on more particular sections of the build, like what plants you've used? would love to get a more indepth build video for those of us who are doing our own.
It looks awesome! I love to see the work that these palidariums have put into them. Makes me amazed and it both makes me want to try it and not, due how complicated it is lol May i ask if you know how much electricity does a palidarium like this need? (Pumps, light, timers, etc)
You know it's a good day when Dr plants uploads.
Yes.

Very true!
