Yeah, summer gardening can suck it. I’m also in 9a and it pretty much is just daily watering to prevent death of everything you planted. Thanks for the great vid and God bless you!

You are soooo right Audrey. am in 9B and i only have a small container garden but about a week ago I walked out to water and it looked like all and I mean all the plants were telling me they were tired and hot and were giving up I started pulling them at that point and now I just see a bunch of empty containers. I hope I feel like a Fall garden this year but I definitely feel like having a break.

Yes I completely understand the feeling of needing a break! The great thing about the fall garden is there is still plenty of time to get things in the ground. So take a break from the summer garden, wait til the weather cools off some, and then see how you feel. Then maybe consider planting a few fall vegetable 😊

There's nothing I hate more than tomato hornworms (BTW they love eggplant too). How do you manage tomato hornworms in your garden?

Mostly, I just try to walk through my garden and handpick them off my plants. There is a spray called BT that you can try as well.
The best is to hand pick - early. Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) kills hornworms by invading their digestive systems. It is most effective when the worms are small, of course. Apply it as dust, covering the plant entirely, especially the under sides. Or spray the affected plants every 10 to 14 days until the worms are gone.
