Thanks for getting right to the issue. Good video
Ooh thank you so much for this video. I just did a load of laundry and I noticed the sound was not audible when I turned the settings wheel (knob). I thought something was wrong. Turns out, I must’ve accidentally hit the ‘sound’ setting down to mute. I adjusted it and the sound is back ON.
I’ve done that! Thank you!
Great job!
Thank you!
Great video.
I wish we could make the end of cycle notification beeps much louder - separately from the "panel beep" volume level. Thankfully, these units are WiFi capable and "smart", so I've used IFTTT to send notifications to our phones for cycle completions instead.
Nice comment! Are you a programmer? I started connecting the machines to WiFi, but decided that I didn’t want to give GE all the information they wanted just to know when the cycle is done.
@@fixthishouse3303 - I do work in the computer industry, but haven't programmed since college.
I installed the GE app on my phone and got the units on my WiFi network and used widgets already built in the app "If This Then That" to connect them to Alexa. Alexa actually does the notification.
Thank you for the explanation!
King has used remote start.
Who?
Great. I just got mine and the sound is very low on high. Broken already, theyll have to come back and swap it out. 🙄
I guess it cycles through all the volume levels and the loudest one isn’t that loud? I contacted/wrote GE customer service from their website and was pleased with the response time. They will probably want to send a tech out to verify the problem first. Should be covered under warranty. Keep us posted!
Mine is making this weird quiet alarm sounds when washing, I'd like to stop.
I wish I could help you.
So the summary is that there really is no way to set the volume loud enough to hear unless you are standing there watching it. I love the GE, but they really miss the mark on sounds compared to other brands like LG that play a little song at the end of the cycle, etc.
Maybe connecting to the WiFi would help?
