    In most countries, big cities are where the action is. England is known for the theaters, towers, and bridges of London, while anyone stopping by Japan has to experience the electric atmosphere in Tokyo for at least a day.

      soapftw96 obviously, but it's insane to build a city decades before it it needed, especially one so large. With any normal growth rate, the infrastructure will age and deteriorate long before the city is populated. Throw in the cost of building years in advance of need and it's a remarkably poor way to spend your money. Not surprising with a military autocracy, although on a record scale.

    • @michaelmichaelson2014
      @michaelmichaelson2014 Před 6 lety

      Yeah the whole thing of "you need government permission to go there" is bullshit. I mean technically yes, you need a government issued visa to go to Myanmar at all, but it's no more "off limits" than London or NYC. There's an airport there and a lot of flights to go there from around the rest of Asia, though the city is still pretty empty and Yangon is a better place to go travel to. It's weird that they built a city from the ground up assuming people would go there, but it doesn't seem like nearly as much of a conspiracy as they make out, just bad urban planning.

Heavy military presence and you can't take photos of most places. No hostels, only hotels. Lol ..my reply to u has been removed..their debt trickery is such a simple trick..its been exposed...a country can print as much money it wants to at zero interest..if that money is used to buy infrastructure projects priced in dollars..and given to external companies..then the money printed does not cause inflation..especually when pittance is paid to the labour population ...the result is zero domestic growth as internal labour credit is not banked ..resulting in low domestic credit growth.low growth of industry and jobs..hence the loe occupancy and ghost towns...burma proves to that growth in infrastructure can be achieved with low labour costs...the greeks should be doing this ..soveregn their currency...give infrastructure projects to foreign companies ..with tech transfer clause included..in the case of greece..there will be domestic credit growth..if greeks r enticed to deposit their credit into agricultural co ops...even better..if they use their credit to reduce debt of greece..they gain surety rights over their govt ..this will drive consumption instead of credit growth...

    They may have gone at this "little project" quite a bit premature on the surface. But if you are going to build a giant mainly unoccupied city do it early so building costs are much lower than say five to ten years from now. But don't think for one second that this city won't be full of lots of people someday. When China and Asia begins a nuclear exchange with the West and Israel then their will have to be cities for people to evacuate to after theirs have been Chernoblyed or much, much worse. I think some big plans are ahead for this Naypyidaw, Burma.

      dietz andwattson23 Please enlighten me, did Islam cause the biggest damage to the world that it warrants Ronghiya's massacre? First of all, most damage on planet earth was done by the civilized countries. Germany massacred milions of jews just a few decades ago. The US brought slaves from Africa, do you think slavery is justified according to basic human rights? Today's climate change was first started in the industrial revolution with coal and other fossil fuel usages. Even my country (Japan) has done a tremendous damage to China, Korea, Indonesia and other countries for the sake of securing oil and widening our government's imperialist agenda. So my advice to you is, stop being an idiot and don't blame a religion for the bad thing that happened in the world. Hatred never brings goodness on planet earth, Love does.

    you're just talking about Manhattan , which is only 1 small part of Greater new York urban agglomeration , which sprawls for an area 20 times Napydaw . New York metropolis covers 17 000 sq. km . the built up areas of the Greater NY region sprawl for about 12 000 sq km . You only have to look at it on GOOGLE EARTH to work out the area for yourself with a population of about 24 million people. New York is a megacity and one of the biggest on the planet . Manhattan is only one part of New York city proper , then there is the huge urban sprawl beyond what is New York city proper .
