i feel this games like a forza motorsport type game. looks good, has real bikes, but plays horribly. some of those crashes looked so stupid. you touch the back of someones bike and fly forward😂 they want you to jump 300ft doubles but if you jump 301 ft or 299 ft you crash. AND THE STARTS LMAOOOO, shadowboxing on the gate is the last thing this game needs to focus on

I hated the game in the beginning but I find it good now, it will never be as good as reflex or alive but there will never be another reflex or alive. When you first start it can feel sloppy and well, hard, but after you do some races and build some skill, it gets better. This game has a learning curve that the older games didn’t really have. At the end of the day, if you don’t like the way it feels then that’s your opinion. I just replied to this because a lot of people are still on the mindset of how bad this game was at launch and don’t know that it feels like a different game now.
@@DecrepitWombat i never got this game so my opinion is based soley off of the look of the game. i had all out and i enjoyed it at first but i got MESX 4 and really enjoyed the slow, almost tedious style of racing in it compared to the pinned everywhere seat bouncing over 5-6 jumps and taking a 3-4-4-2 rhythm section a 6-7. the old games kinda have a inbetween feel, as in you need to slow down at certain points to not fall, you can send some massive lines, but it still takes a brain to be good at. i also see the falls in this game, i remember the bumpiness of the National tracks in All Out, and dont really get excited. But i do enjoy the freestyle/freeride aspect of all out. going to Pala and being able to ride the Vet, a SX track, and jump some jumps they put in is something all MX games should think about implementing. its such a fun feeling loading up a track you wouldnt usually play and finding a track going around the entire perimeter of the map leads to wanting to look at another track and see if it has it. Making the game very very replayable. MESX 4 has nothing but racing and time trial which is fun for a certain time but after you race all the tracks on a 250 and a 450 theres not much new which is a MASSIVE problem, and the exact reason MESX has to release new games yearly. id rather buy one game for $60 and buy DLCs that are $5-15 and get updates then buy a game for $60 and it basically be forgotten by the people who made it unless they HAVE to fix something.
level -3 clutch boost, level -3 acceleration, slip tires, stiff suspension, level +3 flexible chassis will have your bike feeling a lot more loose for sure. Also, reflex gyro is a more realistic gyro, with it disabled, it's much more arcadey, it keeps building gyro on top of itself as long as you hold the throttle or brake. In the settings under gameplay options, put airborne throttle on user input and pro physics enabled.
Can do +1 or +2 for suspension too
Coming from a top 10 guy on xbox on legends, you gotta be spamming the living hell outta the clutch whever you land, exit a corner, or shift gears. Bike setup is DEFIINITELY needed, Run your engine and clutch -3 and your chassis +3, suspension and tires can kinda be anywhere (more preference). Brakes +3 and it'll change the game completely, also new tracks are better scaled for the newer physics and are alot more fun! Bikes tho still wins all day haha so much more is possible on there
Really depends on what track your on to how you wanna set up the bike

@@mitchtavio Then you're going too fast or your suspensions too stiff, i swear by soft suspension though not many will agree, it works fine for me, also lean forward with both sticks to turn tighter

Bike setup is super important!! Chassis needs to be fully flexible and tune the clutch for boost and the engine for acceleration. Suspension stock or one for stiff and tires for stock or 1 to left or right depending on riding style!!
You turn with both sticks and there is clutch boost to help go faster out of turns
The “floating” on the has gotten a lot better since release imo, I’ve played every update from release but it definitely still need to like sink the wheel in the ground if u get what I mean

You also have to understand that you need to slow down for tighter steering, no berm riding like mx bikes. Some of the sand berms you were 40mph and red lining the engine and that will never get a sharp corner. MXvATV you can full power on the brakes, push both sticks to the inside of the turn, and the clutch boost bike upgrade lets you tap LB for unreal speed boost!
Use the cam chase far and zoom it out a little more. Makes third person so fun 🔥😮💨

Hey lynds, Stiff suspension level 3 in this game will be your friend, that's really the only upgrade you need for your bike, and it will limit the amount of crashes you do have
The game has got good graphics, some cool enduro tracks and...THATS ALL LOL.
Subjectively speaking, I dont see the appeal towards whatever direction Rainbow is taking the series. Yeah going fast and hitting big jumps can be done well with arcade racers (Reflex, Supercross Encore) but the current handling model is so incredibly far from doing that correctly that you really just gotta wonder what the hell theyre thinking. Ive yet to see somebody throw a single whip in this game that doesnt look like shit and I think thats all you really need to bare witness to to see how much disconnect there is between the studio and the fans, and the studio and the old days of the series.
The very first MX Unleashed and Reflex are genuinely where I think the series highs come from and its just comical seeing the downward spiral at this point.

I think the one reason people hate on this game is that they are expecting a simulator game, but that’s simply not what it is. If you know what you are getting into you will enjoy it way more.
I don’t believe that’s it for me. Reflex wasn’t a simulator and I enjoyed that game thoroughly. In Legends the bike doesn’t feel connected to the ground and bounces like a pogo stick, the rider randomly falls off the bike when landing or hitting a jump, the bike and rider automatically get dirty when stationary, bike sounds suck, and so many other things the developers cut corners on. I shouldn’t have to clutch boost every second or tune the bike for the game to be enjoyable. Maybe I wouldn’t complain, but they continue to focus on cosmetics, new bike graphics and tracks for the kids while the core physics and textures of the game are lacking.

This game is a mobile game that has good graphics and released on console. Feels more like they are just seeing how much money they can make off the series instead of making games that feel good like the unleashed series, reflex, or even untamed.
Gotta try it again after the last updates
I got no complaints about this game whatsoever its great theyve done a good job on it
So the biggest thing yes you have to change your set up, i do recommend turning the pro physics off for the sake of a new player. And if you ever can get the tuning change, here a tune you can try, it is my personal tune as well

Soft 1 suspension ( this will very For your personal preference)

I like to do brakes soft 1 but the hard brakes lvl 3 is preferred if you like squaring corners.
The reflex gyro Is when you can Hit the brake or gas to dip your bike and all that good stuff. You can also mess around with the amount you can scrub and whip but i just keep all mine on default.

The upgrades definitely make a huge difference
I feel like the game is in a very good state from where it was at launch. I would say that it's not even the same game. Like, I mean... for me being a fan of the series since MX Unleashed, I find that with Legends I've overall had the most fun on this game. If we are talking specifically console versions of MX vs ATV, in my opinion Legends is my personal favourite MX vs ATV game i've played.
The jump gaps and speeds are unrealistic. There is no way you could ever basically stall on a face of a jump, bog the bike and then bunny hop a tripple
The only important settings maybe is putting fps limit a 60‚ it completly changes the scrub and some parts pf the physics to something more consistent
Anyway i have about +100h on the game and i really don't enjoy how the bike acellerate and turn‚ feels to unlogical
This is my most played game 15 days but I only have a Xbox if I had a pc I’d like to imagine I’d play mx bikes or sim. Bmg drive is hella fun to. Even tho it’s not a moto game

Also, with this new update they made it less bouncy and made the suspension better and absorbs terrain better. So with full stiff suspension its not as bouncy. So turn your suspension up to +2 or 3 and maybe add -1 slip tires. Plus make sure to turn on reflex gyro and adjust whip/scrub deadzones and it makes it much better.
They still dont have custom controller mapping, so the controls feel foreign as hell. The turning either feels understeery as hell if you only use the left stick, or stop and turn on a dime if you use the right stick at all, and the general bike speeds and air controls are so rediculous i just cant play it.
Hate how much they’ve put into updating and continuing to try to make this game good. It’s too beautiful to waste. Scrap the current physics, rework the physics from Reflex and then you have a enjoyable game to play
They can never remake reflex. The code was scrapped when thq and rainbow merged. A developer kept it and it no longer exists.

I tried it now and then after new updates and the game has gotten better, but the ground physics and cornering still suck. I cant get my head around that some people say its better than all out. 😅

Drives me crazy how stiff the rider and bike is. Feels like they made it as one piece. I went back to playing ALL OUT on pc and it's like playing a completely upgraded game. Legends plays like a mobile game even with all the "updates".

So the thing I’ve found to really make this game good is first person for one it makes it a totally different game third person is broken secondly some of the bikes in automatic are just terrible and broken especially the 450s most are all bad 250s are the best to ride some 450s are good in automatic shifting like the husky and the Kx 450s as they handle more like the 250s but yeah hope my recommendations for playing make it better for you to enjoy
I just would like to know if this game is worth buying
I really don’t mind this game at all. I didn’t properly play any other mx games but did play a few briefly, but I think so long as you play the game in first person and utilise custom camera, get a fully upgraded bike in the right ways and get used to things like using the clutch to accelerate quicker and getting the hang of the physics I think this game is fairly decent to be honest.
They reason you can't move in the air is bc it's a 450, 250 can be way easy and first position is way easier to

Looking at this, I understand what you mean by how you don't feel connected to the surface.
This is pretty tricky to achieve, as many games fail at this. It requires incredible audio design, handling and particle effects. Dirt Rally 2.0 is still the #1 game that achieved this best. Even their new game, EA WRC, hasn't surpassed it.

I see my future, me sitting by the fire with my grand kids, telling them stories of my mx gaming days, I see them by my side as my body fails, on my last breath I strongly yell "FREEEEE THHEEE WHIPPPPPP"
I have honeslty always used cheat engine for getting credits in these games, because I don't really enjoy the racing, but I did really enjoy the freeriding/ time trialling on the compounds.
I don't think theres an anti cheat in this game, so it's a valid option imo

Its a shame this games so off on the physics and feel side of things. They made great feeling games in the past and they are so far off the path now. They almost need to go back to square one with this game. I used to enjoy these

It's got better graphics, sure, but I still enjoy MX versus ATV all out more.
Games feel way too stiff for it to be a motorcycle game , for them to only include single stick in game controls Leeds me to ask one question do they even know how a basic bike game.
MX Bikes is by far the best for me, MX Sim is too much, and Bikes is what i expect from motocross game :) glad there is a gem like MX Bikes. (Video above has nothing to do with simulators, so just putting this comment anyway)

Also it doesnt take hours to unlock everything on your bike it takes a few short races. As much as I appreciate your videos you dont give this game a chance pit some time in upgrade your bike mess with tunings and settings. Mx bikes has that to no?

With Mx bikes and Mx Simulator out, they make these kind of games which i enjoyed when i was like 10-15 years old just look so bad and unrealistic. I don't think anyone else than like 10 year old would actually have that much fun playing this.
Nah, this is way more laid back and fun. No one has ever claimed that any MX vs AT game is a realistic simulator. If people go into it expecting a sim that’s on them. These have always been arcade MX games. It’s like comparing skate 3 to sessions or that other skate sim. I played sessions and quickly dropped it to go back to skate 3 because one is fun, the other is hard and 100% skill based. I had fun skating in real life, gaming I want to be able to pull off literally impossible crazy shit while still being able to play sorta realistic looking when I feel like it. Legends is the same way. I can race and make it look realistic and good, but I don’t have to put anywhere near 100% into the game to somewhat compete. You want skill, play one of the sims. You want to sit back and have fun, Legends is awesome. I will say to look up a bike setup though as it is crucial. If you don’t you’ll end up like in the vid where you cannot even turn properly lol.
@@HardcoreAmericanUSA Yes, i understand not everyone likes to spend hundreds of hours learning realistic simulator when they have other things to do and just wanted to have little bit of fun while sitting on the pc or console, but me personally the challenge and difficulty is the thing that makes it interesting for me and now when im older the MX vs ATV games just don't offer the challenge for me.

I want to like this game sooo bad, but I don’t. Besides the physics and how the game plays, everything else in this game is amazing. Maps, models, all of that is amazing. But the physics are so bad. It plays so bad compared to even unleashed or untamed, let alone reflex or alive. I wish they’d overhaul and go a completely different route physics wise.

Automatic is never good. Manual will always be superior! Clutch boost after each gear also.
Change your bike away from the suzuki and tune it and you'll be ready to go. They've done alot to the game and it's still not the greatest but it's really fun and the scrubs have really improved as well.

@LyndsMX Gotta give it some time. You was on the stiffest bike, stock. Lol its no mx bikes at all, but if you do 2 or 3 exhibition races you get 1000 per race. You can fully upgrade a bike with 3 or 4 races. It makes a huge huge difference. It's a totally different game on a good bike upgraded. Live your content man!
It sounds crazy but it's like with mx bikes as far as it takes hours and hours to get the feel and hang of it. This games the same way. Takes alot of time. Cheers man

Preloading actually makes you bunny hop in these new games. Horrible.

Fix your bike setup. Also 450 is much more stiff than 250. Most of your complaints now have been resolved! MX vs ATV Legends is good in 2024 but people start comparing simulations to arcade games and then people bandwagon those people and then everyone ends up hating on this game for no reason.
Also you have to move your sticks before the jumps to whips, you can't just go straight off the jump and throw the whip as your following down.
When going up hills you need to clutch boost to gain that extra torque. The game isn't physics based so your front wheel will stay on the ground.
Game is dogwater. The physics alone are enough to steer me away from ever buying it.

Every since mx vs atv unleased all the games have gone down hill. They look amazing but the physics are horible. You cant even rev the bikes , the bog everywhere. If they could bring back the old physics and just update the graphics it would be day and night better. These feel like arcade games at best which means super unrealistic

For Moto coins you can just spam the [Straight Rhythm] events, some of them are like 50 seconds or so for 1000 coins lol, if you're going to bother at all m8.

We live under capitalism, my dude. Everything there is demand to buy, will be sold. If it’s not being sold, there is a very good reason. In this case, Yamaha probably doesn’t allow it to be licensed out. A franchise as large & visible as MVA, whose primary player base is on console, can’t really skirt intellectual property laws in the same way an MXB can.

I don't know why they keep revamping the bike physics over and over again.
It's to the point that when you come back to play the game after taking a break, you have to relearn gameplay despite not having changed your tuning.
Had they gotten it right within a year from release, I wouldn't have complained. But almost two years in with constant changes has put me off the game.

I just got this game. Graphics and all are good but the game plays like shit. Very disappointed in how the bike handles and dynamics of it . Monster energy supercross 6 is much better. Draw back to that game is no outdoor anything.

Gameplay became really stiff compared to early builds though, they kept tweaking it but theres no real improvements, jankyness has been hidden by the stiffness and people act like the game is fixed lol
