- Israeli state-owned TV, Kan 11, aired an audio recording of two hostages, Alon Lulu Shamriz and Yotam Haim, moments before they were killed by the Israeli army in Gaza on 15 December 2023.
In the recording, the hostages can be heard pleading for help before being shot.
The channel disclosed that the audio recordings originated from a camera attached to a police dog, which was sent to the location but subsequently killed by Palestinian fighters.

If it's mandatory service for all citizens male and female and they can all be called upon as reservists then aren't they all technically military personnel and not civilians? Wouldn't that also mean that Hamas technically didn't kill any civilians on October 7?
@@kamilsiddiqui they murdered children and foreigners on 10/7 that are “civilians.” Some dual citizens might not have served - they’re “civilians.” Also disabled people probably didn’t serve but I’m not sure if any disabled Israelis were killed but if they were they’d be “civilians.” I would say the rest of the 10/7 victims (killed, injured or not captured) would be classified as active or inactive or retired military combatants but I’m not sure what international law says about those not fighting or who were unarmed who were executed. Those captured would be classified as POWs for being active, inactive or retired military. It’s against international law to kill captured POWs, something both sides have sadly done.

There was a third man in this group of hostages who was an Israeli Arab, also abducted on Oct 7.
I bet the IDF saw the Arab guy in this group of surrendering hostages and took him out, and then assumed the two other men were also Arabs. Just speculation on my part, but not so far fetched.

So either the other two didn’t think he was worth mentioning, or the IDF had already put him down as part of their TikTok production fest.
Which scenario is more plausible? That the other two didn’t think the Arab citizen was worth mentioning or that the IDF saw a surrendering Arab and took him out? There’s precedent for both of these scenarios.

The troops could've had orders to shoot any living thing in their area of operations they saw for all we know. War is hell.
