At the end they took only one Village(which is now almost under Russian) and they lost at least 100k that made them now not only they can't fight even can't defense!!
They are sending their troops to chasiv yar, its more important for them to defend now. Capturing Chasiv yar will be the biggest blow, both as propaganda and militarily

Ukrainian supporters when Russia retake Robotyne: Robotyne wasn't important
They thought that Robotyne was the start of the collapse of the russian line in the South (it wasn`t). Now that they are in the defensive loosing it at least shortens up the frontline.
And there is of course also a matter of morale, Like if you think about if you take something it sounds much better when you say: We captured Robotyne, which is a very significant advance and a strategic position, than saying yeah we captured Robykne but we took 10000 casuties and lost countless tanks and it isn`t very important.
If the enemy recaptures it you of course want too say exactly this, which may sound hypercritical witch it kinda is but there is a reason behind doing this.
The third reason is that the village is completenly destroyed and doesn`t give them much cover which even the Russians agnologed.
robotyne was strategic in the beginning, because it was supposed to be used for the offensive towards tokmak and melitopol, but such offensive did not happen and now its basically useless besides the fact that you can do some shenanigans here and there sometimes
Robotyne has tactical value in the area, because it's on a higher elevation than the area north of it, which is where the Ukrainians came from. So whoever controls the heights of Robotyne, has better fire control of the area north, and since Ukraine controls the northern parts, it's important for Ukraine to hold here.
The problem you Russians have, is that when we said Bakhmut had no strategic value, you got so offended by that fact, because it's a PR victory you lost 100.000 men over, so now you use this excuse on everything. We admit Avdiivka had strategic value, and Robotyne has tactical value, but you're the ones lying about our position.

You Ukrainians and western supporters literally said that Avdiivka didn't had importance or strategic value, even though they also said a time ago that Avdiivka was strategic. Bakhmut was probbaly one of the most fortified citties and Ukrainians fight for it at all costs.

@@flame9826 the mission to keep Azov out of the Donbas, which has proven more or less successful. So they got 75% of the Donbas, that's a victory in my eyes. Also, history books will teach our children that Russia won a 5 year war, nobody will remember your cope comment.

Yes, the free world is opposed to primitive dictatorships that are still mentally in the 19th century and consider armed aggression against neighboring areas to be the peak of development. In addition, most of the support for Ukraine is symbolic compared to what the countries can do, with only a few of them doing more than the minimum. And the Moscow regime benefits from the support of other dictatorships, North Korea has provided Russia with more ammunition than NATO has provided to Ukraine, Russia is importing thousands of mercenaries from Africa, receiving drones from Iran, equipment from Belarus, etc.
@@The.Fair-World- I don't know where you got this data, in this entire war the Ukrainians lost much less than 100,000 people. Unless you count civilians in the terrorist attacks of the Moscow dictatorship, then over 100,000 Ukrainians were actually killed.
The Russians gave up attacking Chasov Yar through the Kanal District and withdrew as they did not have the flanks secure. Today they advanced down the southern flank to the channel, but Balkan Mapper simply ignored it and showed only the Russian retreat in the center.

Can someone explain me why russian forces do not take control of the fields between Pervomais'ke and nevels'ke ? It doesn't make sense.
So if you look at Pervomaiske and go south, you see another river/stream, right? In between that, the terrain is higher by about 30-50 meters. So first Russians would have to fight uphill, then they need to cross a river, and from that southern river they have to climb another 50 meters to get to Nevelske. This means Ukrainian positions have better firing positions from the high ground on Russian troops.

Is it true that Russia promised to capture CY by 09/05/2024? If this is true, they will have to start a mega robbery in this region soon, as the topography of the place is terrible, apparently!
If it’s true or not nobody knows, but considering it took the Russians 1 and a half years to go from Bakhmut to Chasiv Yar, I doubt they will take over the latter within 9 days
That’s an oddly specific date for a city of that size…
These kind of deadlines are almost always made up.

@@frahtauenta There was nothing in Robotyne prior to the Russian world expect the Ukrainian NATO puppet regime.
@@frahtauenta Russians don't control Kharkiv or Kupiansk so how would they rebuild them? Also many of these areas are close to the front line still, it's better just to build military infrastructure because civilian reconstruction is liable to just be destroyed again.

The narrative that has been created in the Western media over the last two years about the course of the war and Russia (Putin) must still have strong repercussions in the minds of consumers. I can't explain this comment any other way.

I do agree Russia is failing to exploit their localised breakthrough. It looks like Russia is sending all their combat capability to advance around Ocheretyne, mostly north of it, losing the power to advance anywhere else on the front.
According to me personally, if Russia had the power to spare, they'd be making advances everywhere, now that Ukraine is struggling with low ammo and this local breakthrough. It only confirms my estimates and conclusions that Russia is suffering from their high losses, and are lacking the equipment they need to push.
Russia is advancing around Chasiv Yar. They probe for weak points and focus on supply lines, nothing new there. As for the latest PR stunt with that unoccupied island, I think it was probably a distraction from Robotyne.

Not in the slightest. I fully admit that Russia has been making a localised breakthrough around Ocheretyne, and that this is a concern for Ukraine, and therefore I am concerned about this as well. However, I also understand that this is just one sector of a long frontline, and that the total amount of advances still only amount to a tiny fraction of Ukraine. We're talking about 0,02% of Ukraine in a month. I also understand that Russian losses keep piling up. Since 1 October 2023, Russia has lost 190k troops, 2600+ tanks, 5000+ armoured vehicles, and 5500+ artillery systems. Take into consideration, according to Shoigu, the Russian minister of defence, Russia produced a total of 1530 tanks and 2518 armoured vehicles in 2023. So Russia lost roughly double in half the time.
So while I do not deny the Russian advances, and do not deny it is concerning, I stay realistic and know Russia can't keep this up.

China wants to take control over eastern Russia and have dominance over Central Asia, India boosts its own economy, Iran is looking for intel to hit Israel, and North Korea is desperately needing to upgrade its arsenal. The Allies want to see Ukraine win, the Axis have their own goals that are not in Russia's benefit.
