Bloody hell - yet another prog rock group I've never even heard of even though they've released 9 albums previously. You see what you're doing here, Scot? You're slowly but surely dragging my emaciated cadaver into the 21st century, for which I thank you profusely. PS You're not wearing your Charles The 3rd hat - naughty!
Love this album! Heard about this from Nathan, as was not familiar with this band, but it has moved way up in my rankings over the past couple weeks. Just great stuff. Love the way they incorporate so many influences to create something unique and totally their own. Among the best of the year so far.
I reckon that 'I Move' from 2002 is their best album with 11 minute mini-epic 'Coming Like Light' where everyone should start but their career has been remarkably consistent and this album continues their fine run. Also worth checking out is Paul Bremner's solo album 'The Witness'.
IZZ...another group totally new to me. Yesterday I listened to The Great Adventure (2019) by The Neal Morse Band because Keilan (our bassist) pestered me again and again to check it out so I did. Hmm. I want more memorable melodies, more interesting harmonic progressions, more interesting parts for the bass guitar, more keyboards and less guitar...yet, despite these gripes, it's a mightily impressive work and it has some superb lyrics. Also, despite being 2 hours 14 minutes in duration, I was never bored so that's grand. The singer often sounds like what's-his-name from Manfred Mann's Earth Band...Mick Rodgers, that's the guy. Anyway, despite being a day late, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY!
@@TheProgCorner That's why you are good at this and we are tuning in... you only hype what you are hyped about, no corporate overlord telling you which Kpop band to slog.

I like to color coordinate!!!
Love IZZ (I'm biased because they are my friends) - but this is a tremendous addition to their catalog! Brilliant!!
Speaking of adding to an artist’s discography…any updates you’d like to share?

Definitely!!!!
It's on the list for when the vinyl comes out. I've ordered the new Celeste on vinyl from bandcamp, hope it comes soon!
The Celeste took me a few spins to “get” it. But I got it. And it’s awesome.

Love the Neal Morse Band!!! Dark Melody is my favorite off that record.
I'm going to have to get my list together. Prog metal rules.
Any rules for the picks? Can we only use a band once?
No rules!!!! It’s Prog!!!
The Prog waters are vast. Ten albums in and I’ve never heard of them. 🤔
Really? Check this out:

Thanks for the link. Sounds pretty good. I like the male/female sparring. Some tasty keyboard playing as well.
You recommend it Scott, I check it out.
Thank you. Let me know what you think!!!!

Sounds like a cool record. Also, thanks! This is the first I've heard of that Renaissance tour.

Czech it out - just saw some of the subtitles to your vid and they've got it as 'Prague Corner'. Know any good Prague Proggers?
Modry Efekt!!!!! Amazing Czech band.
You should find a photo of a street corner in Prague and put it up somewhere...
I got a D in Modern Physics. I have no idea what you're talking about. 😯😮😬😵💫🤯
Subatomic particles and quantum mechanics!!!! That’s my jam.
