I noticed that thrifted cotton duvet covers often have two sides of good cotton. We have some with cute themes like animated fruits doing garden chores or little insects with clothes, so they make great pillowcases, aprons, or children’s clothing, etc.

There wasn’t money for dresses for the three girls so the mother took down her curtains she had just made and sewed three beautiful dresses for the girls! Sheets are beautiful and so much material that is there to use! Thank you!🙏❤️🌷🌸😺Plus thrift shops are loaded with sheets, formals etc to take apart and remake something new. I do that when I make bracelets! Some new beads, some thrifted bracelets take apart and make a new creation! So much fun! Affordable too! I had an Italian neighbor who always made new beautiful dresses for her little granddaughter. One time I said it must be expensive to buy all the material, buttons, bows etc. she said it was all from the thrift shops! ❤

I’ve got a cubby full of bedsheets waiting to be sewn up into something fabulous however I’ve noticed polyester bedsheets are awful to sew with lol What is your fav fabric of choice to sew with when it comes to sheets? What is the fabric of the ones you have sewn up? Are they 100% cotton?

I don't know where you live, but by me (Chicago suburbs) I almost never can find sheets in thrift stores. I think the upcycle scene is so big here that they get snapped up in a sec!
Very very nice first top is a little long try it shorter next time it’ll look more youthful , second dress awesome sauce., third was killer would love to see as a dress 2, 4th so fun moms would love teens would love this as a crop, 5th & 6th was cute 2

Have you used microfiber
I have not. I've only used 100% cotton and vintage poly/cotton. ☺️There are many pretty micrrofiber sheets,tho.
