    Just a thought if you use a bolt on the end you could dual purpose the clamps or quadruple purpose by using a barrel nut you could make extension clamps with a pipe like a pipe vice. Flip the clamp around and
    And make a spreader

    Solid. Gathering fab ideas for my own table and this is rad. Either going 3/8 or 1/2 top and mag drilling holes similar to what you’ve done. This style clamp is perfect 🤟

    How come you don't use coolant or cutting grease @1:37 with the drill press machine? Is it because the bit is tungsten carbide and doesn't need it? I really love the portability of the drill.

    Very stable design. If you have the standard (more or less) 5/8” holes though it’s obviously impractical. You’ve got me thinking how much.i like the stability of yours. At taller heights mine move off center quite a bit

      Thank you. The holes are 10mm i guess its a 3/8 with a 12mm thread. My workshop is in the basement that why i needed a light #weldingtable. The baseblade is just 6mm thick.

    hi, why did you make hole of 10mm instead of 20 mm? to be more efficient to attach other machines? thks
    and 2/ here why did you put "circles" on the big hole on the base blade instead of welding an squared iron plate? 6mm thick for the circle is that right ? thks a lot and GOOD GOOD JOB i'm dreaming on it to do the same but only one question : how i will do that to succeed like you ! :)

    It looks like you're welding straight to galvanized clamps? Did you prep them in any way? Or did the flap disk remove enough?

    WOW - what a brilliant idea. Very clever hook and magnet solution that immediately solves the drop-in clamp with a relatively thin table top (6mm). Another idea of yours that I need to implement. If you don't mind me asking, what size rod did you bend to make the hooks? Thank you ! Joel.....

    Three questions: how thick is your welding table, how large are the holes in it and what diameter rod did you make the clamp hooks from?

      The baseblade is 6mm thick the holes are 10mm with a 12mm tap in it. That I'm able to screw something in it. And the Hock is a 8mm rod but a harder alloy like regular steel.

    I've been looking around at different clamping systems and yours is brilliant! The other methods all require big holes. Your method shows simplicity and elegance.
    Where did you get the clamps?
    My next welding table is totally going to use your ideas!

      @@TheMetalist Thanks. I was looking at the Bessey HD clamps with removable pads, but the cheapest I can find those suckers is about $85 each! I'll check these out, hopefully they're a bit more economical.

      I found these. No matter the magnet, you may want to glue them in as well as using a fastener to prevent cracking. Rare earth magnets are very brittle.

      The base plate is a 6mm steelplate. The holes are 10mm with a 12mm thread in it. This way I'm able to be screw something in it, like a vise, all over the table.
