I've logged 319 mi on my v4. Once retired, I'm reaching for the v5. It'll be interesting to see your comparison between v4 & v5.
Great for short people
@@nightfall1198 yes. Being short is a thing of the past with this one
Is it softer than V4?
I want to be certain. I’m going to do a comparison of the two next. My gut says no
Hello bro .... I don't understand why this shoe not exist in new balance website and exist in amazon ???!!!! Can you explain
Wow I see that. That’s weird. Other retailers have it. Amazon has it from whatever retailer chooses to sell on Amazon. Local/smaller companies are on there as well as places like Running Warehouse for example. Just look for the seller name. Amazon acts as a one source for all those places so makes it convenient. That doesn’t explain why the v5 isn’t on the NB website though 🤷♂️
I wanna guess it has something to do with it not being officially released by new balance till August 1st but new balance sends the orders to the third party companies a few weeks in advance so the companies can for sure have it on the shelves/website by release date. They probably get them a bit early and then get permission from new balance to just go ahead and advertise them. I only guess this because this is a similar situation at my workplace. We get the “new gear” a week before release date, even though it’s not on the main company website. 👍🏻
@@RunningDadAdventures I am very amazed and surprised that this is happening for the first time !!!!!!
Is it softer than the 1080 as well?
I think it’s a little softer but I’m not 100%. The 1080 v13 is a lot softer than the 12 I know. I’ll know soon enough. I’ll be doing a side by side of the 1080 and the v5
What the heel stack and forefoot height ?????
@@RunningDadAdventures ... But when you compare vs the skyward x is more stack height 48 mm heel stack.. skyward x win
More soft than 4?
I just checked the v4 against the v5. V5 feels much softer and lighter. I’ll do a side by side video soon. I’m excited to go through the differences
What the fit
Fit feels good. Good room in the toes, doesn’t slip in the heel. I have a medium foot with higher flexible arch that supinates
That's not a running shoe... that's a bulldozer!
Absolutely. Can take this to construction site or use it in place of teddy bear for naps
if you're under 200 lbs.. YOU DON'T NEED THIS SHOE.
I think shoes like this could be part of any line up as the function is intended for runners that it makes sense for no matter their weight. If the runner benefits then it’s a win
Franken runners. Tired them on, quickly took them off. NB fan for years but these are over the top mush, unstable, too thick and left me feeling it would only be a matter of time before a painful rolled ankle or worse would happen while trying to run on these platform Franken runnerss. Try them on - you'll see for yourself. The More V5 makes Bondi 8 feel like a racing flat. More V5 should be renamed - Over the Top Franken Runner v1 or Too Much V1.
You’re not wrong. It’s a ton of shoe. Unlike any NB I’ve seen. Towards the stability piece I felt it was stable given the stack and squish. Geometry is made for it around wide landing platform. I supinate quite a bit and didn’t feel in danger of an ankle problem. Shoe feels like it disappears under foot. That said, be mindful of curbs and road shoulders.
Bondi vs more interesting 🤔
