Yeah, using it on a light switch makes no sense, and honestly when i first saw one of these, i couldn't figure out what one would use one for. Fast forward to much later when my tankless hot water heater would sometimes error out and need to be reset, there's not a real switch you can make smart, and walking down to the garage when you're trying to take a shower is not optimal, so i put one of these over it's button and made an Alexa routine that triggers my hub to push it twice to turn it off and on again so i dont have to get dressed to just go reset it.
This is especially useful when all your job is to watch the cctv and push the button. This device can help you do the job from anywhere in the world. 😂😂
