Audi CVTs were never bad gearboxes. Just a little unreliable and expensive to fix when they did go wrong. Great review as always.

They were bad gearboxes.A little bit unreliable and expensive is the opposite of what you want from a gearbox.

CVTs aren't all that bad as long as you ignore the manufacturer and actually do maintenance.

CVTS Ain't unreliable if it was lexus wouldn't be using them.my family owned few lexus and they never went wrong just air suspension and stuff would need replacing with age but so would any other car even a toyota yaris but engine and gearbox are smooth like butter.

CVT is not CVT. Audis CVT were shit. Lexus/Toyota use them for years and they work. But not Audis CVT.
