With players coming back from injury it frees up a few players so they will be able to attack and give more opportunity to score so the need for a striker isn't as necessary, we do need a high scoring forward for when games are tight they make the difference but think its a summer thing
Looks almost impossible that we'll get a striker given FFP. We'll have to suffer the consequence of spending 120 mil on 3 mids who've had very little impact on the team: Havertz, Vieira, Lokonga. The only chance we have is Benzema on loan, Arteta and Edu need to go all out on him.
Lokonga& viera signed which season?
Lokonga and Vieira were signed when Arsenal were mid table with no hope of UCL football, couldnt attract top talent
As for Havertz, he's a versatile player that can play 8 10 and 9 and he's scored some important goals so far

I’ve been saying we needed a striker since early last season. We play amazing ball (up there with city and Liverpool) but are going back to wenger era stuff where we do one pass too many rather then hit the ball. Glad ppl now think the same.
Would much rather wait and get a top quality striker in the summer, than just an average one in Jan.

I agree. I dont really want any striker in January. What Arsenal really need rn is making sure all their players are fit and firing on all cylinders. Get Partey, Timber and Fabio fit and hope Saka Martinelli Jesus stay consistent
If its the choice of bargain shelf in January or Harrods in the summer. Just get it done in the summer. They won't go big in the summer if they cheap scate it in January.

Very risky from Arsenal especially when a top 4 finish is looking difficult this season with likes of Villa & spurs looking strong. They might want to wait to sign a striker but will they join if they fail to qualify for champions league, will the current players want to stay or will they start to look elsewhere if they don't qualify and win no trophies yet again. Unfortunately this is all because Arteta, Edu & Arsenal shot themselves in the foot blowing £95 Million on two players they didn't need in Havertz and Raya instead of selling Nketiah and signing a new Striker.

We haven't paid for Raya yet and Havertz is 13m a year. At this exact moment, we've spent a collective of 16m on both those players so far. I don't understand how we shot ourselves in the foot. Maybe you can make it more obvious.

Raya is the most unnecessary signing in the history of Arsenal, closely followed by Kai Havertz

No title to blow, not like last year when Arsenal really should have won it. You can say that about top 4 but I think that’s a different and lower standard that this crop of players have shown they can meet (and are currently meeting).
Every big team does that. I’m sure some mangers leave it so they need improvements so they have work to do.
To be honest we need our midfielders to be more accurate, we have the capability.
And we need more activity from the attackers without the ball, so the midfielders get opotunities to make the decisive pas.

If we are so short in defence like the genius Arteta has said, then why on God’s green earth did he loan out Tierney even after we lost Timber for the season the week before in August. Let’s face it- Arteta has failed big time in his 4 years, finishing 8th in the first 2 seasons, followed by bottling top 4 in the 3rd season and bottling the title last year after being top for 80% of the season. He has spent £700m in his 4 years here, and has gone out of every cup competition at the first hurdle. If we don’t win anything this year, then he doesn’t deserve to be here next season to waste even more money. Arteta OUT.

Why did Arteta blow 65 mill on Havertz? WHY?
I truly think that signing Havertz for £65m was one of the worst bits of business in PL history. One of the interesting things about Liverpool's recruitment (at least in the last 5 or so years) is that they've always sought value for money - so have acquired bargains (i.e. Andy Robertson) but also spent big (i.e. van Dijk and Allison) when they think these players will drastically improve their team. Buying Havertz is the complete antithesis of this. Not only is he bang average but they already had Trossard, who they bought for a fraction of the price

Typical Arsenal....we jnew we needed a strikernin the summer but we s8gned Havertz instead for £65m when we could play Smith-Rowe instead.
They will wait because why not, they aren’t going to win anything anyways, so why waste money. besides, Arteta has shown he has a terrible eye for signings, so their fans should be relieved.

So if we don't have a ST who's fault is it ...the blame last season was a ST ..jesus was out and nketiah wasn't the answer. Arteta buys kai havertz and we spend 200 million on one player theoretically..arteta will have to go end of the season
