Thibs should start with a smaller lineup in Game 5. Start Brunson, Deuce, Hart, Divincenzo and Harteinstein. Let Duece be the one to bring the ball up, because it seems like the Pacers are guarding Brunson from 94ft when he gets the ball. Use the lineup he used against the Warriors.

Brunson first 2 games @ MSG had 20 FTA in 76 mins while Pacers 5 starters combined had 27 FTA in 350 mins!
Game 4 Brunson had 9 FTA in 31 mins while Pacers 5 starters had 0 FTA in 130 mins combined! It was 27-4 FTA Knicks before garbage time.
Anyone complaining about officiating vs Knicks is lying to themselves.
Also weird no one mentioned Haliburton is also playing injured and has been since hamstring injury Jan 8. He’s had back spasms ever since and game 3 sprained ankle 2x then tailbone injury. He and Brunson are both playing not close to 100%.
Also while Knicks missing WAY more injured Alex not mentioning Pacers missing top3-5 player Mathurin (best FT rate on pacers by far) was weird. In 6 career games vs Knicks he’s averaged 17 & 5 (39% from 3) and vs Bucks this year in 5 games averaged 18 & 6. When Mathurin plays 30+ mins (Carlisle rarely does it naturally bc that’s what he does with 19-21 year old players his whole career whereas you see Lively Wallace playing 20 mpg off bench in playoffs while Walker is 13th player to go in…I didn’t like that pick and wanted Lively, Wallace, Coulibaly, or Whitmore there but Jarace has shown flashes and proved he should get more PT) he’s averaged 25, 7, 3, 2stocks on elite efficiency.
Pacers should have won Game 1 @ MSG but objectively refs stole that so it should be 3-1. Game 2 was bad officiating too but can’t blame them as NeSmith Turner FT% Carlisle going back to TJ all contributed much more to L then refs like Game 1. I picked Knicks in 7 this series and if everyone was healthy I’d pick Knicks in 6 (though Randle in his 2 playoffs was horrific so not sure he helps as much as you think).
Game 4 was always Pacers lock bc Knicks were not gonna shoot 52% from 3 again, attrition, bench was going to bounce back. I thought Pacers by 14 not 32, but him saying he thought Knicks would win is weird.
Also what he said about OG out lead pacers to think they could win after first two games is crazy when pacers were up most of both of those games and Game1 in particular if officiated fairly they win and go home with series 1-1.
Pacers knew they could have been up 2-0 after first 2 games and at worst it should have been 1-1.
PS Bucks fans talking about injuries is hilarious when they won 2021🏆when 2 other favorites Nets Lakers had Harden/Kyrie hurt + Lebron/AD hurt.
Injuries are always apart of who wins titles and goes far in playoffs and has been like that since 60s!

Also Hali NeSmith (who has struggled offensively though we should have put him on Brunson game 1 not wait til game 3🤦🏽♂️) Nembhard Sheppard Isiah Jackson no playoff experience either. Trust me Mathurin is a big game type player. Had 20 in InSeasonTourney Finals vs Lakers when Turner and Buddy Hield flopped. Averaged 18 & 6 vs Bucks this yr when we were 4-1 vs them (with Giannis Dame every game), was 7-10 for 20 points in win vs Knicks earlier this year. He actually gets to FT line and would help us in half court sets where we aren’t very good (which is why it’s super important we push the pace).
