anybody who thinks that Calafiori isn't the signing of the season needs their head looking at. the guy came from the Swiss league as a 21yr old with little experience in european competitions, & a bad reputation for always being injured for only 4m and has ended up being the best CB in serieA, taking bologna to an incredible 4th place, is close to being called up for the euros, & has seen his value go up to 30m.

I think it’s hard to say player xy is the signing of the season. Calafiori was an excellent piece of business. As an inter fan I’d love to have him. Pulisic is another great addition and so is Thuram. It’s hard to pick one over another but these three would be my favorites. Thuram signing for free and now being valued at 65 million is awesome, he also delivered in all big league games, Pulisic is potentially having the best season of his career but he was nowhere to be seen in some big games. Calafiori to me was probably the most impressive scouting and player development job of the season.
@@ApfelNicknack both pulisic & thuram are both considerably older than calafiori, & have both spent 7 years playing top level football in europe. pulisic when he moved to milan had already cost chelsea 64m, had 60 caps for the US national team, and was even US team captain, whilst thuram was also already a france international and had even played in the last WC final. they can't realistically be compared to calafiori's impact at bologna.
I would even say that thuram is not particularly impressive. his goals to game ratio in italy is 28 games, 12 goals, by comparison someone like Dybala for roma has the same amount of goals but has played 30% less games than Thuram🤔
Thuram is lucky that he is playing for such a strong team as inter where other world class players can cover up for his lack of goals. in fact,i wouldn't at all be surprised if thuram already gets sold this summer & replaced by Dybala

@@JuveEnthusiast he's played 4 games this season v milan, juve, bologna(ranked 2nd, 3rd, 4th in serieA) and has 2 goals & 2 assists. he's also scored home & away v atalanta, home & away v fiorentina, home & away v monza, away v torino, all in all 23 goals & 4 assists in 27 games and you're trying to say that thuram performs better?
as for why inter would buy dybala, are you serious? if you can sell thuram for 5-60m and replace him with dybala for only 12.5m (his release clause) then you would be replacing thuram with a much better player and at least an extra 40m profit. realistically you could sell thuram and replace him with both dybala & some1 else like Zirkzee without spending a single euro

As a goalkeeper coach, Milan has the best advantage in the league. They have an 11th field player/deep-lying playmaker in the back. Understand that the modern keeper needs to be as good on the ball as a field player. There’s a reason why Juventus is now behind Milan.
Maignan gets the ball alot is cause he was used as a cb alongside Thiaw/Tomori in order to push florenzi and calabria either in the half spaces or in midfield in order to break out of Fiorentina's press and it resulted in multiple chances created for Milan, its merely tactical and it worked.
Marco…Mancini signed a Roma shirt for a kid before the game which is uncommon. It’s usually done after the game. There’s even photos of it. And he was praised for it. Damn you really hate Mancini. Chill. Lol

The difference in Juve with and without Vlahovic (and Mckennie to some extent) was huge. Just days later against the same opponent they looked like a different team.

Liked this episode but come on. A Juve fan complaining about the way Milan is playing right now? Check the goals scored. Milan is one of the best attacking sides in Italy. The Fiorentina game was so entertaining, especially after that Lazio Juve match the same day!
Agree with Gaetano regarding the passing back, not just Milan though.
What of we had Broja under girouds wing, playing with puli, tomori and rlc. That would've been crazy. Broja went on loan to Fulham, it bothers me that we could've gotten him atleast on loan. He's like giroud but even quicker and more technical.

Wow. Pulisic plays right wing, which he's not known for, and masters it. He is versatile but is better on wing than center. So, Chuku is learning from a better player. I think Puli and Chuku will continue to compete, but Chuku might be on sale.

Gaitano it absolutely correct. Juventus is closer than you think to being a real contender in any competition. A few pieces and a new coach and we are back into the mix… juventus never dies and we will always be a top team.
Yo Marco, bologna pace lately has been insane. That’s why roma hasn’t closed the points on 4th. Roma form under de rossi is impressive and they climbed spots and improved overall play but Bologna also been in great form. Sorry I also respect mourinho but de Rossi has been an immense upgrade on the squad. His points per game average has to be much greater.
I think Leao's problem is his stamina, rarely he finishes 90 minutes. And also he seems to be concerned with his fitness, milan knows it. That's why pioli doesn't ask for determination, unlike to pulisic and other players.

Been saying this about the De Rossi hype train since his appointment. He’s had a forgiving schedule off the back of Mourinho having a really tough schedule. Mourinho had them playing well, just not “attractive” or “stylish” play. De Rossi hasn’t been tested…let’s see what happens before decisions can be made.

He only scores once every 383 minutes. And they are wonderful when he does. But mbappe is one every 80 minutes. Even pulisic is one every 222 minutes.

I kinda know this title is for views considering the attention it attracts from American audience, but Pulisic is genuinely having his best season and contributed greatly to Milan, specially for only 20 million? It was truly a steal.
If you look at Leao's running distance in a game, it is below average for the team. His stamina is not as high as most of his peers. But, given his physical stature, that is to be expected. He is built for explosiveness not for stamina. That is nothing new for Milan. Ibra had a low defensive work ethic too. You don't always want him spending his energy defending because that will detract from his offensive prowess if he is tired from chasing in defense. But the coach/team/fans must realize that. Because there is so much focus on him as a superstar, there is also more criticism too.
Thuram is the best signing of the season
Juve will also get Fagioli back! We got young talent that could shine with a De Zerbi
Sack pioli and bring in Mota or José. Unpopular opinion maybe but belive me, this is what we need. I would even rather bring back maldini and make him a coach or ibra but knowing the board i know that wont happen and idk if ibra would be a good coach technically atleast. I would say it is close tbh esp since puli has a higher g/a 20 v thurams 19. And the fact that thruams main job positioneise is to score ….. v a wingers main job is to not just score even off the ball puli is amazing solid defensive abilities and is able to drop back to pick up leaos slack so leao can do his magic. I dont think the €0 price tag makes him the runaway winner
