Urethane & Tint from: barnes.com.au - Zábava
okay... imma need to make one of these.
Love that idea of cutting the chin out for a really cool collar. Might need to attempt something like that for a Cyberpunk build
I hope to see you use this
Are you planning on making a takemura cosplay too? Or one of the other characters?😍
Hey Chris. To help urethane bead less, add a little “fisheye eliminator” mixed in with it. I use “smoothie” brand, but I’ve had success with a lot of different brands. It works because it lowers the surface tension of the urethane and helps it wet out
Thats great! Are they're any tints I can use for urethane, I want a flesh colored rubber but can't seem to find any ,or tips on how to intrinsically color urethane .
Also do you have Instagram atall?
Idk why, but this made me excited for his future Nightwing cosplay!! ✅
Based on your superman, you should do a hybrid batman thats also classic.
heres my take
keaton mask with the attached logo.
blue and grey colours( plus those sexy briefs) both from adam west.
batfleck style body suit or texture
white eyes( i know its not on any batman yet, but black eye makeup doesn't really work with bright blue or any blue) from comic bats cus you took comic elements for supes.
a bale style belt cus its the only way you could incorporate him cus he is very different from the other dudes.
it'd be great for u to respond. even just to say no i'd love to hear your thoughts
Chris thanks for making these videos to keep us entertained and to inspire us to do something during quarantine
awesome work Chris! Love the how to series your doing!
Was watching your Robin screen used outfit around 1am this morning now at work saw you on the TV on the Today show cheering up the elderly w/ your Superman costume 👍
Love you channel and your videos!! Have an amazing day!!
"And it sticks like shit to a blanket..." Even a day later I am still giggling over that...! Thank you!
Very cool Chris. I used a similar method to make a handlebar boot for my replica Street Hawk bike.
You should make the bust in Wayne mannor with the button to the batpoles
Hey Chris, when we are going to get the Cosplay Chris logo suit? keep the good work!
Awesome video, Chris! I may have to give this technique a try for a Winter Soldier arm. I'm curious to see how flexible urethane would perform instead of the more common foam or 3D printed props.
Looks good.
Hey Chris, love the videos. Question, would you do the same molding process for making a latex cowl?
That seems like a lot of work, I think I'll just make the one for my Mass Efect suit out of fabric and paint on liquid tape. I've found that to flexible and very durable.
Wrap masking tape around your neck and colour it in with a marker. Ghetto cosplay.
You are amazing
Can you do a how to sculpt or make your own batman cowl?
Nice interview on 2GB 👌👍
Oh oh.. do a demolition man cosplay that would be rad 😁
Can you show us how to do this with a more complicated design like a Batman cowl
Is this piece still available and if so cost? Great Video.
How come you made it so large? Also it looks great
Would this work on a wider scale, to create a sort of shoulder poncho? Not like the con I planned to go to will be open because of the pandemic, but still it'd be nice to know.
Sup
Hi pal.. wondering ... what would you recommend to make predator dreads .. cheers
It would be so cool if u made the intro suit 😆😆
will this work with abs and back sections too ? Is there a Smooth On equivalent to the urethane you used ?
Hi Chris! Do you have a video of how to create the mold from a 3D print ? I want to make a urethane casting of a Batman cowl I plan to print in order to be wearable
It's more sustainable to use a silicone brush I think. They should be able to be cleaned. I use them for baking 😂
So, I want to look into making molds Cosplay Chris. See... I have myself a couple cool 3D printers. I would like to print armor in PLA (plastic) and smooth it down. Then mold it in urethane. I hear you can cast that stuff in various densities, and it would likely be more durable than welding PLA pieces together. What are your thoughts? Any good leads on learning to make molds? I can easily make the original pieces.
I really am wanting to get a cowl in a Silicone. Ever seen that??? I want something more like a CFX mask, but in an Affleck JL design.
Hopefully it's not too much trouble, but if its possible, would you be willing to make a tutorial of how to make a Flexible Urethane boot? I'd love to learn how to mold and cast boots.
I want one
This area in every live Bat-suit has always been problematic. Seems it’s the most difficult area to make functional, yet pliable enough to move the neck. I think the BvS suit did the best while still looking aesthetically pleasing. The Dark Knight suit was okay, but Bales scrawny neck made the helmet look to bulby.
Lo que necesitaba
So I have an idea for a red hood cosplay except I want to make it as realistic as possible and by realistic I mean practical. Custom real armor plates, a custom armor plated helmet and I want to do a neck seal like this but I wonder if their is a material that is more tough than that? Like cut proof?
Whats the brand/type of resin fiberglass did you use for the Jacket mold?
Curious, why urethane rubber and not platinum silicone or something similar?
im not big on silicone mainly a price factor how is that resin in say a ultracal mould? and cant i t be painted?
Lo que necesitaba para completar mi traje
Is there a cheaper version of that urethane?
You should try it on with your red hood helmet
I do want one, where can I buy it?
So im thinking of making a helmet with this method. Would it work
Anyone know what type of slightly stretchable urethane they use for Spider-Man Rami suits? I know they use urethane raised webs but idk which formula. Any extra info is appreciated
Would this same method work for a neck piece that goes up to the jawline? Would movement still be decent? For reference im wanting to make a urethane rubber neck piece that mimics the cybernetics in the character Goro Takemura's neck (Cyberpunk 2077)
Can it used for making outsoles shoes?
When are the Geralt videos returning?
Can you show use how to make a Urethane Rubber Batman Cowl?
Hey chris think i can do the same thing for making the spider emblems like Sam raimis spiderman suit?
You should be able to. But, I would highly recommend using a MUCH more flexible material, though. On the Sam Raimi - Spiderman suits, the spider emblem & webbing was cast in foam latex. This worked well for the films. But, keep in mind that they had MULTIPLE suits, and they only needed to last until the production finished shooting. You suit(s), (I assume), will be used for far longer a period of time and you will want to need to repair/replace them far less often. So, I would suggest a soft and flexible urethane or silicone, (something around a "Shore-A" of 5-15), instead of foam latex. Explain what you want to do to your local distributor and they should be able to point you towards a suitable material. Personally, I think Smooth-On's "Dragonskin" silicone may be best fit for what you are after.
Thabks i was thinking and researching I was gonna use a resin rising foam from smoothon but i forgot dragon skin is a thing the reason why I asled is becuase i made a logo on my recent suit that is made out of eva foma with is good but hard to been its like a leather patch thats whybi was looking for somwthing flexable
How long does this material last?
Does Barnes ship to USA?
Looks good but a little to big dose it not need to be more snug around your neck
hello there
Anyone have an idea where I could get this type of urethane in the states?
can I send an stl file scaled to me for a custom neck seal ?
How much layer?
How do make neck seal of Raiden mortal kombat
Justice League Mortal Documentary? I just saw your name mentioned. Detail video, is this true... it was on CBR after all
You should take all the cosplay skills you’ve developed over the years and put it towards building a functional suit of super hero armor. Make Kevlar or uhmwpe armor panels, cover it in carbon fiber or something like that, and put it over a suit of slash pro or cut Tex pro material for the Arkham knight/tactical Batman look, or make yourself sheer thickening fluid infused urethane like muscles for a muscle suit and cover it in Kevlar panels and slash pro or cut tex pro for the batfleck look. I think putting your skills into a project like that would rocket you to the top of trending and quadruple your subscriptions.
Why is it so lose around the neck?
Info on the joker drawings???
Brendan Andre he did it months ago
yeah great help... lol link to the vid would be great
Ryousuke Takahashi just scroll down the channel

anyone else is gettig that captain price vibe???
phantom soon??
Try Daredevil please
How about green for something like robin hood 😊
'Very nice job. Although, I would personally make one recommendation regarding the velcro. It is better to have the "hook" portion face away from your skin. If not, there is a HUGE potential for it to act like aggresive sandpaper, causing it to scratch and irritate the skin. Trust me, been there, done that, learned my lesson long ago. With ANYTHING that causes even the SLIGHTEST discomfort, it WILL get exponentially worse the longer you wear a costume/makeup/uniform/etc. So PLEASE learn from the mistakes of others, as well as yourself. There is NO gain from pain, ...except more pain!
Why hello everyone 👋
Hello
