  • Welcome to my Semi-Extreme Chunk-locked Ironman. Join Chunk Smasher as he conquers chunks in Runescape 3 - one chunk at a time.
    This episode is a bit shorter than the first one, but next episode, episode 3, will probably be biggest episode so far. There might also be a bit of gap between this episode and the next one because I still have to actually complete the grinds at time of posting this video.
    Special thanks to the existing ORSR and RS3 chunk community that inspired me to try my own hand at this challenge including:
    Josh Isn't Gaming: @JoshIsnt
    Lunitar: @lunitarosrs
    Who's content is especially fantastic and who you should all definitely check out.
    Also, if you're interested in the RS3 chunklife make sure to check out the Chunkchat Discord where there's an RS3 channel. Come join us!
    For other RS3 Chunkman content check out my clanmate ‪@ChunkYony‬ , who's much further into the chunk grind than I am!

    I am also a big fan of random informational asides. Definitely do more, especially if they're the differences between OSRS and RS3, because I have very little experience with RS3. I highly suspect I won't be the only one.

    I'm a big fan of random informational asides. Also I know the friend who linked this series to me hasn't personally spent much time with RS3 but has seen a lot of OSRS stuff, so spending a bit of time talking about stuff that's different between the two when it comes up could also be worthwhile since I'm sure they're not the only person watching this who got here from the OSRS side of things.

    diary tasks regardless of tier is a dangerous rule to enable, at least in osrs, and I assume it's worse in rs3. If I enable this rule I'd get like 300 hours more of grinding in my chunks (primarily coming from going from 92 mining to 99 and from 84 smithing to 88)
    Best of luck though, really liked the first episode and I'll probably enjoy this one as well

    Great episode :) Very entertaining.
    I was about to write a tip for putting the bones on the ability bar, just as you mentioned you did it. I can give another tip though. Instead of spam clicking the hotkey for burying bones, you can just hold it down, I'm 99% sure that it is just as fast, but it is less click intense :D
    There is also the possibility to customize area loot but I don't remember if you can filter it to just bones though. (hotkey is shift + space bar if I remember correctly)

    If you can get yourself runes, then you can craft T10, 20, 30 magic weapons from imp hides, spider hides, bat hides respectively. Imp and spider you have access in your chunk, bats from the catacombs in the south. Threads and needles you can get from killing ham guards / pickpocketing ham members.
    Considering how abilities on full-revolution highly reduce your amount of runes used, a small amount of runes could last you quite a while in magic training. Some sources of air runes include: fire spirits from firemaking training, imps (small amount, common), spiders (rare), goblins (rare). Considering your chunk, firemaking spirits are probably the most reasonable source. Once you get to the catacomb, you will have way more options

    • @naaat
      @naaat Před 2 měsíci

      as for crafting levels… well that's gonna suck. You can also get opals from firemaking spirits (common), thieving HAM members/guards (common). You could also get molten glass from the rare drop table with less that T2 luck (probably very rare). considering all your goals, firemaking & HAM thieving is actually gonna save your grind here.

    • @Lnvictuss
      @Lnvictuss  Před měsícem

      The weapons require runecrafting levels too, though

    Small error. Super Cows do appear outside of a Slayer task it just has a slower rate.

    Loved seeing the progress. A few things I think you might want to be aware of is that the Circus is going to be massive for the account in the upcoming future (2 weeks til its in Lumbridge). I loved seeing the random informational stuff but the text is a bit small so you might want to make it bigger when you do edit them in. Can't wait to see more!

    • @Lnvictuss
      @Lnvictuss  Před 2 měsíci

      That's super interesting. I'm not 100% sure how that would fit with my chunky rules, I'd have to think about it

    • @mwithz
      @mwithz Před 2 měsíci +1

      @@Lnvictuss Yea there's quite a few minigames, rotating dailies and things like that in RS3. I would treat this one like Puro Puro, where you can utilize it when available but not lock yourself by forcing to get all its requirements. Be careful though, if you get agility experience you might unlock a lot of agility grinds or it could be the best way to maximize your agility gain from now if you have some nearby agility grind.

    at 4:50 you said that take notes jagex logs processign should give more for fletch than you got in wc while choping i think that's not true cuz you get xp few times in example you get xp when fletching logs + stringing bows if you are making shafts you get xp doing shaft addign feathers and adding tips. So i think they calculated this to be at spot where it should be xp wise that skill is in game for 20 years +... good content keep pushing

  • @krityaRS
    @krityaRS Před 2 měsíci

    4:40 ironically they intentionally did this the same way as fletching for mining and smithing because the devs thought there'd be no demand for ore if you use equal ammounts to get mining and smithing to the same level

  • @calebfreeman7632
    @calebfreeman7632 Před 2 měsíci

    I think my other comment maybe didn't get posted, but what is the crafting plan? you can get thread from the ham guards, and I believe boots and gloves can be made at level 1 so crafting is possible.
    Also, you mentioned that blue wizard robes were your best magic gear, but since you can craft, you should probably make a full set of spider silk armor. And before that, you can make a full imp hide set it's up to you, but those are my thoughts.

    • @Lnvictuss
      @Lnvictuss  Před 2 měsíci

      You're correct. It's not a chunk task currently in my chunk picker because I can only cut opals at level 1 and they're like a 1 in 40 drop (there's no leather). Most chunk accounts, including mine, have a drop threshold in the chunkpicker for what counts as a primary method. But once I hit level 10 I can craft imphide or crossbow strings to level 20 for and spider silk becomes a chunk task. More on that next episode though

    • @calebfreeman7632
      @calebfreeman7632 Před 2 měsíci

      Okay. I thought you could get leather from HAM members too but it might just be cow hides. If you have access to leather though, you can make things since the RS3 requirement is 1 instead of 7 to get started.

      @@Lnvictuss I just read wiki to double check.
      "Broad arrowheads can be purchased from any Slayer Master for 50 coins each. 3,000 broad arrowheads are shared between Turael/Spria, and 3,000 shared between all the other Slayer Masters. An additional 3,000 can be purchased from Bandit Duty Free, located in the Bandit Camp. With the exception of the Bandit Camp shop, stores will only sell arrowheads to players who have completed Smoking Kills."
      You *CAN* buy 3k/day without smoking kills, but like ;P
