In The Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Adhān is the first call to prayer. The Adhān is uttered in a loud, albeit sweet melodious, voice to announce to the faithful that it is time for the Obligatory Prayer and to invite them to offer the prayers. Those who perform Adhān are known as 'Muedhin.' The honour of being the first Muedhin goes to Bilal (ra), a black slave who converted to Islam. He had a very sweet, resonant and musical voice. He was appointed as Muedhin by the Prophet (saw). The appointment of a black slave as the first person to call Muslims for prayers, shows that in Islam all human beings are treated as equals. Rich or poor, black or white, short or tall - all are equal in the eyes of Allah. It is the piety of each individual that makes the difference.

Adhan is recited in a loud voice by the Muezzin facing the direction of the Ka'ba in the following words, which are said in the order mentioned:
"Allahu Akbar" - recited FOUR times.
Meaning, "Allah is Most Great."(four times)
"Ash-hadu an la ilaha ill-Allah" - recited TWO times.
Meaning, "I bear witness that there is none worthy of being worshipped except Allah."(twice)
"Ash-hadu anna Muhammad-ar-Rasoolullah" - recited TWO times.
Meaning, "I bear witness that Muhammad is the Apostle of Allah."(recited twice)
"Hayya 'alas-Salah" - recited TWO times.
Meaning, "Come to prayer."(turning the face alone to the right and saying it twice)
"Hayya 'alal-falah" - recited TWO times.
Meaning, "Come to Success."(turning the face alone to the left and saying it twice)
"Allahu Akbar" - recited TWO times.
Meaning, "Allah is Most Great" (face back to front and saying it two times).
Morning (Fajr) Prayers
The following phrase is added after "Hayya 'alal-falah" in the Azan of the early morning prayers:
"As-salatu khairum minannaum" - recited Two times.
Meaning, "Prayer is better than sleep" (recited two times).
''La ilaha illallah'' There is no deity except for Allah.

1 year ago i wasn't religious all even tho my parents where Muslims for months I felt depressed and all of a sudden I started to find out more about Islam and asking my parents questions about Islam soon I began to pray after beginning to pray I read the quran for the first time and now I don't feel depressed and and after a lot of years I finally found peace in my heart ❤

I listened to this Azaan when I was feeling distant from Islam (it's been 2 years since that) and I kid you not, the moment I heard the part "Prayer is better than sleep" HEAVY tears came bawling out my eyes. I cried for the entire night straight. and the next day onwards, I prayed to Allah and asked for forgiveness.... and to this day I thank this beautiful Azaan that changed my life for the best, Mashallah

I saw a few comments on this video about non muslims. All is easy to understand. The energy of the Adhan is we all have a soul and we are created to worship god alone and when your soul hears the call of there creator it wants to go and rush to answer the call thats why you feel the energy. It is your desicions that makes your soul not getting into call of the almighty creator. As you can see on the translation of the Adhan call to prayer tells you come pray come to the succes and believe me if your muslim and pray it will give you succes in this life and in the next. Last i want to say is ask the almighty creator for guidance and islam is easy and is for everyone so if you want succes in this life and the next be a muslim.

Im not Muslim and not religious at all, but I’ve been hearing this prayer since I was in Egypt and Lebanon, 5 years ago. I feel so peaceful and I feel like I already knew this prayer from another life. No idea. Weird but feels good.

I don't want to debate with you but remind this, jesus had 1 peson God (John 17:3, John 20:17, etc), jesus always pray and worship to 1 person God (Lord's prayer, pray in garden gethsemane, etc) not to jesus himslef neither to holy spirit.

Islam is the only religion that can be fit with humanity because in Islam brotherhood and familiy is strong, no harm in society like no drink, no gambling, no interest, no cheating. In the eyes of Allah, all humans are same so there is no racism, rich or poor, health or sick, male or female. But we have different role that can make better society like the role of husband and wife.

Iam a hindu by born. But my childhood brought was in a Muslim family. My morning starts with azan prayer. It wake me up and the day starts and end fine as well. As a homeless Muslim, I have taken it as my jihad to get on my electric scooter and ride the streets every morning blasting this at full volume with my XL Soundcore bass boosted speaker. Loud enough to hear from 2 blocks away and still make out all the words. Praise be to Allah that since starting this I have had a lot of Muslims come out in the Early morning waiting for me. They give me food, clothes, invite me in for a shower, to join them for prayers, and so much more. For those who don't know, Islam is peace, Islam is beauty, Islam is the uniting of all souls regardless of the status of their physical vessels. Praise be to Allah, the one true God. Praise be to Muhammad, the messenger of Allah. Blessed is his name. I just wish all the people of the world would see the power of Islam.
