The key to taking down V.O.I.D is to build deep into a mountain, layer defenses with spike traps and IED's. Make killing corridors where you can concentrate fire. After all of that, you'd have killed ONE of them. Good luck.
Also getting masterwork/legendary cataphract armor and charge rifles on every colonist would be of a great use
The best way to defeat V.O.I.D is to not download the mod.

on rarr's channel he found out napoleonic cannons with grapeshot oneshot void, and kill the creatures in a handful of shots.
The issue is that they take a bit between each shot so you can be overwhelmed, and they explode when shot too much.
The mod creator said, this mod is not Vanilla friendly - it is more for overpowered mods you have and you need a challenge.
Now i understand why does glittertech exist. Overpowered problems require overpowered solutions
@@agarthansupersoldierHell just use warcaskets. Something like those sarcophagus warcaskets with spacer weapons should deal with at least a couple of VOID.

@@agarthansupersoldier late response but i'm doing a run w/ vfe and ce and it's going well. My first warcasket tier raid was exciting but luckily I invested in heavily artillery and arms/minor bionics on my soldiers

I already knew V.O.I.D was tough and still I was surprised when one of their giant spiders literally *shrugged off a BFG-9000* , yes you read that right.

I tried fighting the void, got an event to save a V.O.I.D deserter, took it, captured the 2 soldiers after him with his assistance, took their implants and used the void’s weapons against them.
Dude! I was sitting here actually googling if a V.O.I.D run was even possible in a vanilla-ish setup 😂 - then this pops up!
Yes, but a challenging run, with a lot of planning, similar to going up against Orion difficulty-wise, assuming you are using void as a storyteller.
Very much depends on what you are used to. Naked brutality adds it's own extra rng and difficulty, but LiF 500% is very possible.

bro, it's scares ME on a leviathan level scale, I can't even play this game without debug mode and mods galore, I'm too impatient, and I like making massive bases at the start for no reason, if I tried this, without debug mode, in the same way they did, I'd probably die 100 times on the first day most likely, even with a maxed out pawn XD!

@@JohnJohn-he5dg oh I make rooms for supplies and such first, I start with cold rooms for food, dry rooms with racks for normal stuff, a chunks/misc room, and an area away from the place for bodies, just to get that crap out of the way, then bedrooms for my main group, with a dining room and kitchen connected to the cold room. then I go for power, and start upgrading, and giving a few defences, but I guess its only easy that way when you have the debug mode on like I do, since really, I've lost a lot of fun when it comes to "challenge" these days, its either one end, or the other, really easy, or worse than darksouls difficult with a lot of games, that, or I'm just too dumb for any in between XD!
I can still fail with debug mode though, I just like faster setups, and just having stuff be out immediately lol.

100 days against the Void and Im supposed to believe it. Turtle man Im impressed :)
I think the worst possible outcome was Weasel dying in the first week. Immediately, almost 100% of the labor is put onto a single pawn, which can quickly become impossible to gain any ground with, even when you have mechs.

I found a fun start with Alpha Genes mod called Wretched start. Basically you get 3 wretched pawns with low gear and there gene that randomizes there genepool every day. So that being said?

Can I survive Rimworld treating my base like an art project for 100 days?
Basically, build your base to serve aesthetics over anything else. The prettiest base you can possibly manage to build, putting efficency and defenses on the back burner. What's the point of living if everything is a gray box under mountain roof tiles?
Clarification: Beautiful to an observer, not just your pawns. You could cheese it out if it was up to pawns, just lining every room with good+ sculptures

Man, VOID is terrifying
I tried to ambush the advisor and their cohorts when they attempted to contact me and I barely managed to overpower them, despite using 3 mechanitors outfitted with cataphract armor, ranged shield belts, charge weaponry, psycasts, and assisted by 2 centipede blasters, 4 advanced knights, 2 tesserons, 2 uranium slug turrets, and 2 wall mounted minigun turrets
The only things that survived were 2 of the mechanitors.. everything else was annihilated.. the only thing that did damage were the uranium slug turrets and the EMP burns from the ammo I was using in the charge weapons
Maybe don’t try and kill the advisor

Is the swallowing stalker thing from void? I've never seen those things before even in void bases
It might be cool to use time threat scaling and set the time for very long, like 30 or more years before it maxes out. That would give one plenty of time to max out defenses before everyone dies.

Pretty awesome that a game like Dead Frontier has managed to get one of its most well known long term clans to have all its lore and armours as a major mod for another game as well as a bunch of content from that game carrying over as additions o.o

When are we getting a 100 year rimworld challenge?
I was definitely cheating here- But I wanted to see how far I could get in a Rimworld VOID Playthrough with three INTENSELY augmented Supersoldiers- all equipped with shield belts, exoskeletons, and gauss rifles (Literally just a Stalker SoC setup)
For the entire playthrough- I didn't encounter any actual guys from VOID- Literally the worst threats were the Leapers, Stalkers, Mothers, and Weepers. Leapers especially- I'd managed to get far enough into the tech-tree to research Emplacement defenses, and I'd managed to produce two Anti-Tank Cannons, and right on que- as soon as I had them installed? A conversion pod holding a Leaper crashed down.
I waited a day or two, set up defenses, made it so they had to be corraled into a long Rebar Concrete hallway filled with barbed wire, and rock chunks, and when I'd finally cracked the casket and opened it- and the Leaper was running down my Defenses? It took FIFTY-THREE 155mm Armor Piercing Discarding Sabot Shells till it died of Bloodloss.
Bloodloss. Not the sheer amount of 7.62x51mm AP-I's, or Industrial Gauss Rifle batteries, or the 155mm APDS shells. It was just the bloodloss. Still fully intact mind you- not a limb missing.
Any of the VOID mods are definitely not for the faint of heart. Even when you give yourself a supposedly 'easy' start- it's still got challenge lol

If you want to be a real coward you put in the protocol code
And if you want to be a even more coward you give yourself 50 super soldiers
Even then the void will get rid of you one way or another

ive always been kinda scared of playing rim world, whenever i tried i barley built anything and all of a sudden 2 armed guys were at my doorstep, after watching this video and learning how to play early game im ready to retry!

The closest i ever got to beating VOID were with the Astra Militarum mods' Space Marines.
A collection of 4 Space Marines and 1 Terminator managed to take out a grand total of 7 VOID using thunder hammers. Pretty impressive, but sadly they all died to the remaining 46 VOID pawns and countless other N-4s.
The void pawns are the easy part they r squishy
The n4 are the real challenge as they can take anything
And lord if they bring a few black titans your done

Tough mod. VOID wear crazy OP armor, and have every OP implant and cybermods possible. I've played this for a few months and while it's tough to kill these guys, it's even harder to capture one to steal their gear. Seriously, you can cheat and still struggle to down them.
How op is the armour compared to leg prestige caterphract
@@_Pickle- It has some time since I last played it, but it's way stronger than the best vanilla armor. Basically immune to vanilla guns. You have no chance against them if you don't grab at least 2 GAU and arm two guys lv 15 shooting at least. This way you may live through a couple of raids, but even with high cover you are gonna be killed in a sect. With their reactive armor, you can take a couple of shots and that's it. I remember being one-shotted a lot tho, depends on where the shot hits.
There is no way to survive them with vanilla stuff, they were made to be overpowered.

You can easily beat them when cheating, use debug to impregnate them and cause labor, and have some guys beat them to death with stuff

The only way i ever found too kill void early on is using melle ranged weapon and not good enough
What is the point of the barriers that are opposite his straps at the enterance to his base?
It's to give a safe path for colonists.
Enemies can't usually see traps so to them they have the choice of slowly going over fences or taking a faster and unobstructed path.
However your colonists are aware of the traps and will go over the fences to avoid them.
Thus can one safely trap the entrances to your base.

I remember i had a maxed the fuck out colonist with executive grade implants from kraltech industry's weilding a legendary malorian (Johnny silver hands gun from cyberpunk) hr was a super human with the assassin and marksman trait so he was pretty much the most insane colonist ive ever controlled he actually held against 2 end game raids before getting swarmed and drowned in void soldiers blood
