Alright, I felt good the day we shot the first part of this, then was sick for about a week. You can tell when I'm driving that I don't feel great, but pushed through it. We have a lot to do before NPK and this was something I wanted to show you before we get too wrapped up in The 2nd Amendment car.
This is my 1972 c10 with a 383 stroker motor. A guy in Amarillo built it, but I don't know who. My buddy TJ Gatlin bought it for his father in law. They had it for about a day because he didn't like the carburetor. I don't like the wheels and tires and I'll change them at some point. I'd like to tint the windows a bit, change to bucket seats with a console to make it more comfortable to drive, and make sure the a/c blows cold. It's completely restored. I haven't done anything to it except drive it and put OnCue gas in it. I did have McKee Auto spray-in bed liner and Chris Alexander with Performance Detailing ceramic coat it. It's an in-town truck, not made for the highway. Tops out at about 55-60 mph. You could call it my grocery-getter.
We're cruising Mustang to fill up the tank and along the way you'll see some of my favorite businesses- Rusty Root's 405 Classic Car shop where you can get any kind of car you want and All Seasons shop where you can get whatever nut or bolt you need. I've taken you through town before and you can see that Mustang is pretty busy at noon on a Monday. Glad I've got a spot outside of town.
As you can see, I have a little hair and want you ladies to let me know in the comments - shave it or keep it??

That's my favorite truck Chuck. I've owned four of them, mostly is daily drivers back in the day, never paid more than $1,000 for any of them. I see what they're worth now and I'm kicking myself! Shave the dome Chuck, Semper Fi!

Great video and truck! I am 52 now and I was able to get my grandfathers 72 Chevy C10 from my uncles when they shut down thier shop. Thanks again for the video. BTW my favorite car now is the Coyote foxbody. I am coyote swapping my 86 SVO foxbody right now.

Chuck I’m 55 and I came across a Diet, called carnivore diet dr ken berry has videos about it on CZcams I started it at 278 lbs in 3 months I’m down to 201lbs it’s a all you can eat meat diet no carbs whatsoever no sugar before this I was just like you take forever to get it off just thought I would share that with you brother wish you the best in this years npk season

That thing would be cool with black rims and eventually maybe procharger. Its cool as hell now, i agree theres alot of chrome and wheels are tad bulky. In your hands no doubt youll make it cool.

Put in one piece windows. Get rid of the wing windows. This will tighten up the air leaks.
Then stick in a slightly built 700R4 over-drive transmission. This will give you a lower first gear and still allow you to cruise at 70 down the freeway at 1800rpm maybe lower !!!
700r4 is a junk trans. He would want something beefier like a 4l80

Love the pickup. In my opinion put either Craiger s/s ot keystone klassics with white letter tires, tint the windows, get rid of the chrome steering column and steering wheel, put a o/d in it and have a very cool street/highway cruiser.
Also keep the bench seat, maybe redo them and put a flip down center console.
Also update the wiring for cellphone chargers and Bluetooth.
There’s times I can see the old chuck and then he moves he’s head and I see the new chuck lol
Yes the wheels and tires definitely needed be changed just saying and and probably that steering wheel. Back in the day my dad 67 chrome rims with baby moons and big Mickey Thompson's in the back. The hair thing a self preference but I want to shave my head when it comes to Lizzy in her battle

Chuck I feel ya on the shoulder surgery,
I was in absolute agony for years, I’ve had 4 surgeries on left shoulder (heavy equipment) last one was a replacement so now I’m all stainless steel 💪🏼. Took a couple years but it’s so much better now. Still gets a bit sore from time to time but man, dealing with pain sucks and will eat at you mentally.

I forgot to leave the idea of a name for the truck, I made the comment about why/when i thought you should shave your head. Just a play on that, a tribute to your friendship - since you are gone so much racing- Name the truck Thin Lizzy and u can jam to The Boys are Back in Town when u are home while ceuisin to getting geoceries. Only thing I don’t like about the truck is the gas fill and the trim going down the sides. That’s my opinion but the truck is beautiful.
