- Acrylic Pour triptych with an open cup! Today Sarah Mack and I are challenging eachother with the 3 do's & don'ts again. This is the first time I am doing the open cup technique and I am sold!
I honestly couldn't believe how thick the paint was, totally different then for the dutch pour. Really needed to get used to it. But it worked out perfectly! I will totally start doing more of this fluid art technique. The mixture I used for these gorgeous fluid paintings are : 1 part paint, 2 part floetrol (owatrol), 0,5 part water.

I am an acrylic pouring addict, without a doubt. Playing with colors, testing out new fluid art techniques, brands, sizes & collaborating with other abstract fluid artists; is the best. Since I started this journey I feel more balanced in my work and passion. If you see these fluid painting tutorials and feel like, this is something for me: go for it! The fun thing about fluid painting is, that even though you do exactly the same, the outcome is different everytime. Also everybody has a different view of composition, colorcombinations and the way of doing a technique, what makes and keeps it so interesting to watch. You inspire me to try new things, I love a challenge. I'm new to pouring, I've only been doing this now for 6 or so months. And I'm in LOVE with it, I always wanted to paint but w/ 4 boys I had very little free time. So when my baby turned 18 I told my boys my plans to try it & they encouraged me. I just turned 45 & I'm having the best time with it! I get better everyday, I'm so grateful I stumbled across you a few months back. After hearing Olga, Molly, and Kanella all mention you & how amazing you are. And they are right! I'm hooked 110% I get notified when you upload another video, & I get so excited to see what wonderous creation you've got planned. And thanks to you my Dutch pour is so much better, so thank you & keep up this awesome energy. With the tragedy going on in Ukraine we all need to support each other, stand United against tirantical leaders trying to take what's not there's. We all should celebrate each other's differences. I hope we can all come together to stop them and save Ukraine. Thank you so much stay safe and congrats on being a mommy it's the most rewarding and challenging thing in your life. You have done the impossible...you have created DutchPours with heavy paints, floetral and NO HAIR DRYER.....Your paintings carry your signature, when I look at them I know you are the only one who could have created them, your composition, use of colors ( regardless of who chose them) and use of space are your signature!
